My favorite character is Asavan Tortellius, the fat priest from Helsreach. In the middle of this cataclysmic war between the imperium and the largest single horde of Orks to invade an imperial war, he's simply a priest who leaves the relative safety of an EMPEROR CLASS TITAN to gather survivors, administer any aid he can, and once he found himself in a bunker during the worst of the seige encouraged even the hard line and zealous Sisters of Battle to show compassion to the refugees. He doesnt fight, doesn't swear fiery vengeance on the Xenos, Heretics, or do anything you'd expect from a member of the normally villainous Ecclesiarchy. He just helps people. A prime example of the true heroes of any conflict being the ones who do their best to shield the innocent from it.

Xarl from the NL omnibus. He was a sour bastard who always acted like he didn't care, but in the end laid his life down to save his brothers.
@WhenGoatsWentBaa7 ай бұрын
Spoilers for NL Omnibus: In addition to that, Talos' reaction to his death was one of the hardest hitting moments in the whole book when he comes to realise that Xarl was an integral part of keeping the warband together and keeping Talos as the leader. He knows full well that nobody would challenge him until then because Xarl was borderline unbeatable but also genuinely loyal to Talos despite the amount they talk shit about each other. Not to mention that they'd known each other for so long that it ends up being one of the most genuine moments we see when Talos grieves over his death. Also his fight against the champion was just so cool!

Gabriel Seth. Sometimes written a little inconsistently, but this is a guy who knows he's holding the losing hand. He KNOWS he's boned. He knows that unless his army can walk a very fine line, they'll lose to their bloodlust, and be remembered as failures, known only slightly better than the traitorous World Eaters. He's seen it happen to the Knights of Blood (IN A VERY UNSUBTLE BOOK THAT MADE A CHAPTER ONLY TO KILL THEM OFF LIKE TWO PAGES LATER) and doesn't want that for himself. So, they use the Flesh Tearers to their best effect. Hit and run tactics, guerilla combat, fighting where there are the fewest civilians possible, etc. The Flesh Tearers have been given a few lucky breaks, but even then, they are bilging water out of a sinking ship. If anything happens to Seth, there's a solid chance the Flesh Tearers will probably fall apart.

@MarshmallowRadiation2 ай бұрын
Love that man. I also love how because of his interest in history and culture, he tends to think more than most in the setting about other species. That, combined with the fact that he actually sees the Necrons as a fallen people who abandoned what made them special, kinda led him to adopt humanity as honorary Necrontyr. He saw these squishy, short-lived, short-sighted, disease-ridden, oppressively hierarchical hairless monkey men who nonetheless yearn and strive for a better future anyway and went "You're telling me I should think of them as lesser? These guys are more Necrontyr than Necrons are. They're my spirit animal. I love them. They're my new kinsmen now."

Currently, my favorite is a character from the Titanicus book, Gearheart. He’s an ancient titan princeps who has all the usual badass quirks of making quips as he takes titans out left and right and having little eccentricities like asking his crew personal questions and just being charismatic. I like him a lot because when the book shifts to his perspective, you see him extremely afraid of losing himself to the titan, and essentially dying of dementia. He’s constantly trying as hard as he can to connect with people around him, to stay human and have friends, but he’s always kept a little at bay interpersonally because he’s THE leader of the titan legion, and he’s a badass with the nickname “The Red Fury”. He even starts to mix up names of people who died long ago, and at one point you see him berate himself and call himself stupid because he was actually bonding with his moderati but then called him the wrong name and thus distanced himself. It’s so interesting because I feel like in media we’re not often given a look into the fears and flaws of “badasses” without just making them complete messes or a “never meet your heroes” type of disappointment that is just faking their strength. He is strong, courageous, and an unwavering and inspiring leader, and also very afraid and a normal man trying to retain his humanity through friendship.

Seconding this. The Changeling is a rare case of a genre break not totally disrupting the flow of the world and instead enhancing it. The Changeling is the embodiment of the inherent silliness of the world of 40K, much in the way that Skulltaker (Taker of Skulls) is the demonic demonstration of the world’s insane, often comically so, level of violence and Horticulous Slimux makes of mockery of those who take this silly, silly world too damn seriously. I guess the Slaanesh equivalent would be The Masque (a demonette who dances for forever because Slaanesh got pissy one day), but she fits less than the other three. Honestly, I kind of just think that the daemons show what’s best about the setting of 40K. But that’s just me.

Some of my favorite sections in any 40 media are the ones where guys like Corvus are so unbelievably massive, but are so good at hiding. To be honest, with the technology available in the 40k setting, it’s not as impossible as it might seem. Angron My favourite character often changes on a whim but recently Angron has been a great character to learn about especially in the horus heresy series and betrayal of calth stuff, there was this one line in the Live From The Black Library videos that struck me, that “Iron warriors have a directed rage unlike that of a world eater” and it stuck with me, because often I have felt that directionless anger that Angron may feel in current 40k (although far less since my brain isn’t riddled with butcher’s nails) and i think that Angron’s anger towards everything yet nothing can be relatable, as things just pile up in your life, and you don’t know what to direct your anger at due to just things happening over and over again, yet I as a person do not have anything like the butcher’s nails in my life so despite me being angry at times i can still help others unlike what angron could have been, maybe Angron is a tragedy i can learn from rather than try to aspire to be like him. Shiban Khan a White Scars character mostly in the Siege of Terra series. After surviving the crash of the Eternity Wall Spaceport he eventually comes across an officer from the Imperial Army that was trying to save an infant. Shiban vows to help him and this baby to make it to the Imperial Palace (the Inner Wall). Well, from where they were to where they were going was fucking far, the officer didn't have a weapon and was only holding the child, and Shiban had a metal pole. They come across Traitor Marines, Demons and other traitor forces, the officer dies so Shiban carries his body with the infant still being held in the mortal's arms. At some point Khan is pretty sure the baby had died from dehydration or malnourishment but will not let either of them down because it is his fate/story. Eventually he makes it to the Inner Palace where he reunites with his Legion and somehow the baby is still alive, which he is passed off to someone that can care for him. He is one of my favorite characters because it is one the most humble and human decisions I've seen in an Astartes there is more to it like his inner struggle with his current situation and other smaller but no less important details. It's taken a lot of thought, but I'm pretty comfortable saying Saul Tarvitz. I think I find most of the loyalist marines from heretical legions compelling (Dantioch, Garvy, Garro, etc.), but the thing about Saul that always struck me as special is how solid he was. He knew exactly who he was, what he wanted (or better yet *didn't* want), and what he needed to do about it. To keep those things clear in one's mind and be able to act on them when everyone around you (both those you respect and those you despise) are charting their way down a path that runs contrary, is a remarkable trait. He exemplified one of the aspects of the space marines that I love so much in 40k: brotherhood. Saul didn't give a single shit what legion a battle brother came from. Honorable action was the ultimate metric by which he judged anyone. Coming from the Emperor's Children, arguably the most pretentious and aloof legion of the 18, that makes him a bit of a black sheep. And who doesn't love a black sheep?

My favorite is hands down Dante. He’s having to play that fine balance between savagery and nobility for so long as well as growing responsibilities that it’s genuinely starting to weigh on him like no other Space Marine. His back story with his dad, childhood friend who also became a marine and so on adds a great deal of humanity too him as well. Hoping he gets a fourth book at some point

Garviel Loken, dude was depressed, tired, and mentally gave up, but understood that happiness isn't a threshold that you cross and bam, you are happy, he just kept chugging along, and on the literal worst day of his life he realized that happiness is whatever he wanted it to be. He then gave a quote good run for his money to chaos itself and died a hero, maybe not happy, but fulfilled. He's also an actual good person with actual good and grounded moral compass, in words of torgadden "whoever made you grew up this way better be proud, they owe you that"

kharn. a, for what he did to erebus, listening to that after him essentially causing the horus heresy and getting my favorite primarchs (the lion and vulcan) sent MIA was incredibly cathartic, and b, because although he has the butcher's nails and is pledged to Khorne, he doesn't allow that to control him outside of essentially being a machine of destruction, he has a kill counter in his helmet to center himself when the nails become too much and he's just pretty neat.

Nykona Sharrowkyn. He doesn't get the accolades he clearly deserves. From dominating Lucius in 121 melee combat to coming as close to a perfect primarch kill when he snipped Fulgrim. He works well with other chapters and is exceptionally humble, he took no pride in beating Lucius he just put him down. The perfect space marine.

Korlandril: A former aeldari artist who due to a bad break up becomes a Striking Scorpion. He has so much anger and rage however that after only two combat deployments with his Exarch's shrine, becomes himself an exarch and unable to remove his 'war-mask'. With him then becoming a dormant exarch, he also inputs his voice during a war council meeting over whether visions of an upcoming space marine attack are prophetic or simply the farseers glimpsing something which might be there but isn't actually. He ends his main PoV book (Path of the Warrior) when he ends up fighting alongside Kharandras, Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions, and Kharandras takes a hit meant for Korlandril (who by this point had become the Exarch Morlaniath). Kharandras dies and Korlandril/Morlaniath without hesitation immediately takes Kharandras' armour, becoming the next Kharandras. There's a really beautiful moment where in a small moment before Korlandril and separately Morlaniath are completely absorbed by Kharandras' soul where Korlandril finally understands the life of eternal torment that an Aspect Exarch actually lives through, and how each Exarch deep down longs to either becoming their Aspect's Phoenix Lord, or being the Young King that awakens the Avatar for war, as those two methods are the only way that an Exarch's soul can finally know peace from the constant thrum of Khaine's presence in their mind.

To see this little grot stand up for what he believes in and in a way stand up for who he knows ghazkull can be, even when, going against the greatest ork in the galaxy is so funny and so inspiring at the same time. The fact that Gork and Mork give the little guy their support as well is just the perfect icing on the cake.

My favourite character is that random guardsman who have done so many heroic things but sadly he was always beside space marines. Oh yeah there’s also Ciaphas Cain. Edit: here are my reasons. Your average isn’t going to be remembered. They make sacrifices and people would just dying for the worthy not that they made sacrifices. They will never be seen as humans by lot of people who are in position of power. They put into numerous inhumane situations yet they’re still human after that. They lift their lasguns because not only for their life but they do genuinely believe in their purpose. There are so many different types of regiments with their own personalities yet rarely they are seen as heroes. The imperium is built by fallen heroes who do their despite their limitations and equipment they still fight their hardest. They’re bodies is what truly protects the imperium. Your average who have seen guardsmen sacrificing themselves are humbled or felt the honour after seeing their sacrifices. It gives the space marines a reason why they must protect humanity. The average Guardsmen represent humanity being kicked down numerous times yet they keep standing up and keep fighting. It is the Imperial Guard who represents humanity’s finest not space marines or the Custodians. Ciaphas Cain despite his position is more human and repeatably tried to find humane ways to solve problems to save the average man. Despite his cons he has done numerous good things though himself never admits that and isn’t aware of it.

My Favourite character has to Gendor Skraivok, no other character in the whole of 40k represents the ideals of Star Scream quite like him. He constantly attempts to gather forces to usurp Konrad during the Heresy, and once Curze and Sevatar disappear from the legion, he cheats, lies, kills and corrupts himself until he is the brief leader of the 8th legion, his obsession with power leads him to fully embrace the powers of chaos, which for a nightlord I'd very rare, especially this early on in the Heresy. The only way he got this successful was through the use and submission to a daemonic sword of Slaanesh, which grants him extreme skill in swordsmanship (possibly on par with pre-corruption lucius) at the cost of nothing, nothing that is until the power of the sword abandons him upon the walls of Terra, just as he faces Raldoron (the Bumblebee of the Blood angels). As Skraivok lays dying, a crippled mess in the Muck of the Seige, he gets violently embraced by the Daemon, now in physical form, leading to a satisfying conclusion to this decepticon bastard of a Night Lord. Ps Some good books he show up in are the short stories about him and Pharos (literally the best 30k book I've read)

As someone who is not so versed yet in 40k Lore (only played some videogames, watched some shows on WH+, read the first few Horus Heresy Novels, some short stories and the first Eisenhorn book) two characters come to mind: Tarik Torgaddon a very likeable character which I mostly loved because he is one of the few Space Marines who doesnt walk around with a giant stick up his ass and has a silly sense of humor. Loved his bromances with Loken and Tarvitz and realy loved the way he put Eidolon in his place on the planet Murder. The other one is quite different… Honsou the Warsmith. I only read the short story „The Skull Harvest“ featuring him, but checked most of the boxes of a good villian for me. Resourceful, ambitious and calculating… I think I‘ll read the books about Uriel Ventris to get more insights about him. And yes, I have seen the video about the Daemonculaba.

Ahzek Ahriman. I love how his own arc ties into the arc of Magnus and the Thousand Sons as a whole, hubris and betrayal. Magnus thought he knew better than the Emperor, so he breaks the psychic wall to warn the Emperor of Horus' Heresy, inadvertantly destroying the secret project. Ahriman thought he knew better than Magnus, so he casts the Rubric of Ahriman to stop the flesh change, inadvertantly destroying the Thousand Sons, most of them anyway. I think I'm just a sucker for great tragedies in stories.

Asmodai, 1000 . The dark angels are my favorite chapter by far. However, they are in decline. Not in strength or in their standing in the imperium at large, but of the core essentials that made up who they were during the Legion days. The modern day, dark angels are a paranoid shadow of themselves, and I love every second of it. as I especially demonstrates this. If they had put even a small percentage of the effort they do into hiding and pursuing the fallen, they would be one of the greatest forces for good out there. In no small part due to the interconnected nature of the chapters because we all know, the legion never truly died. But this moral failure and decline into a far more zealous and Bastille nature is perfectly shown in Asmodai

He honestly could be dropped into a kinder setting and probably thrive because he’s able to live as a good person. He is also utterly badass and could kick the shit out of almost anyone he comes across but the fact that he always leads with kindness and compassion towards others is so great. He’s not kind because he’s strong, he’s strong because he’s kind. He’s also just super cool and can make cool shit. Makes my engineering brain go brrrrrrrrrr.

Gaunt has always been one of my favorite characters, he is such a driven man who is haunted by his failures in his past. But he is still fighting for his troops and for the Emperor. He leads by example he is the perfect example of a military officer who you would willing follow into hell. Being a Veteran who has seen all shapes and sizes of Officers and bounced quite a few around in the back of a 5 Ton, I really appreciate the depiction of an officer who is not one dimensional and is not a stuck up asshat. When reading Gaunt's Ghosts you can tell that he really cares about every single trooper under his command and that every death affects him, but for the good of the universe he pushes on and keeps going because he hasn't been given permission to die yet. If you haven't read the entire series I highly recommend it trust me on this on.

Marked for death by his chapter master, given one last chance to save his honor, if not his life, for failing to reacquire a relic he lost a thousand years past. Waking up telling the new people stories. I unknowingly based my homebrew chapter dreadnought on him and the contemptor that gave the finger to fulgrim. A saved dreadnought that sleeps in a garden and children leave him little trinkets and drawings and occasionally nap near him seeing him as a grandfatherish person. When he wakes and sees him yeah he irritated but over time has grown accustomed to it.

Shabran darr of the World Eaters. He was a charakter in the opening stajesz of the Heresy, as he was one of the loyal sons of the emperor from the 12th legion stock. As many individuals of the massacure of he enbodies defiaence. Duo to the nail he nearly went insane, but managed not to, keep it and used as fuel during fights. He become a beacon of cold, justified and righthous rage againts the betrayers, the traitors. He shows with other World Eaters they nature of defiance, unyielding rage and an aspect of a warrior that Big -E wanted. I also enjoy the fact he was a "head hunter" of preators, centurions and leaders and used a damaged chainaxe to kill them, decapitation them and Mount the heads on spikes to show his bloody tally and price for treason. He died on the planet, surrounded with his traitors brothers and cousins but made the traitors bleed as he strike down as many of them in his last moments. He is also enjoyable to play in the HH legions mobile game and Horus Heresy 2.0 system. I always run him and target other leaders. He was a true son of the 12th, a gladiator in an endless war whom fought with ire against a worthy opponent. "Meet my chainaxe." - Shabran Darr, office of the 11th Assult company, White - Eyes. I could make it a collage level assay, but i didnt wanted to waste your time man, great work and have a plentiful year man.

It’s hard for me to choose a favorite character overall but, if I absolutely had to pick one I would go with Jaghatai Khan. Sure, there isn’t anywhere near as much lore on him as there is on people like The Lion or Marius Calgar, however, the little lore he does have is extremely high quality. His switch with Fulgrim made almost everyone around him mistrust him as they believed he was disloyal to the Emperor despite this, he fought for the betterment of mankind and even grew a strong bond with some of his brothers. His relationship with Sanguinius was always a joy to hear about as well as his bitter rivalry, or more closely Fulgrim’s obsession, with Fulgrim gave us some of the most memorable, and memeable, quotes. Above all, Jaghatai was the most levelheaded primarch during the Horus Heresy without a doubt; when he was sent numerous conflicting reports on the heresy Jaghatai decided to take time to investigate the situation and make an informed decision unlike some of his brothers and even used logical reasoning for his choice. Jaghatai saw the Emperor for what he truly was, a hypocritical tyrant who viewed his own sons as tools in his great work and understood that he was by no means perfect, however, when the alternative is to sacrifice your freedom to the chaos gods and serve their every whim until the destruction of mankind and the universe, the decision to join the Emperor was a simple one. Jaghatai very easily could’ve just left the Imperium and went his own way but he decided to stay because he knew that whether he like him or not Big E was the only hope for humanity’s survival. The Siege of Terra perfectly shows the character of Jaghatai as he asks Sanguinius what would happen if he stayed in the place vs going out to save the civilian lives. Even though he knew that if he left Sanguinius would die Jaghatai saw saving countless civilian and Astartes lives as the better choice. On top of all of this, Jaghatai has some truly exquisite quotes across the series such as: “We remained true,” the Khan said. “They can never have this, not if they burn all we ever built and scorn us through the dancing flames. You hear me? We remained true.” “And that is why you came to find me,” said the Khan. “You’ve run out of friends. Who will stand with you against the aether-weavers now? Angron? What an ally. Curze? Good luck.” The Khan gazed at Mortarion disdainfully. “You’ve tasted the fruits of treachery and found them bitter. Don’t drag me into your ruin. You’re on your own, brother.” “Not for Targutai!” roared the Khan, suddenly bursting into fury. “Not for Xa! My warriors have died for me, this day, and every day since my whoreson brother ignited this treachery. I have watched them die, year by year, their strength taken from them. No further! I will slay him, if I do nothing else.” Fulgrim: "I heard from a contact on Mars, Jaghatai, that you do strange things to your ships." The Khan: The Khan shot him a heavy-lidded stare. "I heard from a contact that you do strange things to your warriors."

Ahzek Ahriman I moved twice during my life and the first two places I lived in had the philosophy of brain beats bron and the current one I live in dosent agree, I fill this role of the outsider and no one around truly gets me. Thats why I relate to the Thousand Sons, they are shunned by the majority for simply wanting to learn and rejecting the common (melee for them football for me). Im 12 right now and that really shows in how little of a time span that happened. Ahriman is the first one to stand against the majority and thats why he is a hero. And in the modern day he dosent care that he messed up and only wants to fix it no matter how impossible. His name is a curse in many imperial worlds yet he still seeks knowledge, even if he gets shunned a thousand times over for it. Thats just to moving for me.

Mortarion has been my favorite character ever since I learned about him. Originally for his cool look but as I learned more about him he become more interesting. He actually cared about his people and his sons. Tactically intelligent and smart. But he shows human qualities with his arc in falling to chaos, but not the kind other Primarchs show. He struggles to understand who or what he really is while not wanting to admit it to anyone else. His Primarch book gives the same appeal in the way the Oppenheimer movie does. Wanting good intentions but the end result is horrible. Would definitely recommend reading it.

Eliphas, Pre-Dawn of War II. For the first time in a while, I get introduced to a Word Bearer that I actually like, an actual character who has not only charisma and power, but might and petty rage. He was also the first Chaos character from the video games that I enjoyed. Syndri was annoyingly pompous, Krull was overbearing, and every other chaos character in the series since has not been as successful in my eyes. The Anchorite, he’s this one-off character to my knowledge who on his own terms (no brain-washing, be forced, or such) to realize just the insanity of his legion as a word bearer at Calth. He actually surrendered and repented to Guilleman where he was imprisoned, tempted by demons multiple times, and he did not falter once. He then became the essentially secret pope of the Eccesiarchy and was interred within a dreadnought. Fast forward to modern day he is still sane and helping the church taking a vow of pacifism and would later assist in defeating the Word Bearers who attacked to ‘rescue’ him by banishing the demons with the old language of Culchis which is possibly annuncia and went to go back to his cell to continue his work.

And also one of my first times seeing a (primarily) non combat operative in the imperium who wasn’t on the path to using their position for corrupt gain. She was someone who demonstrated and suffered the unease and social isolation of being a psychic blank, but also had the sheer charisma to overcome and weaponise it in social situations. She’s a small fish in the huge ocean of 40k, there is only war and her abilities are so niche and specialised, that she struggles often and you love it when she thrives.

A recent character I enjoyed reading about was Vorx of the Lords of Silence. What stands out to me from him is the honour and decency with which he treats the memory of the enemies he’s faced on the battlefield - personally recording by hand in great detail, name, rank, location, the actions that brought them to conflict, and how he prosecuted their battle. Filling book after book in his great library on the plague planet Eliathada. It lends a dignity and nobility to the Death Guard and how they see their enemies, that would otherwise be masked to outsiders.

A character I really enjoy is the Blank, Wystan Frauka, from the Ravenor series. He works for Ravenor's band and you get a lot of insight into him through other people who talk about how much he unsettles them. He's a bit of a creep, he smokes a lot, he reads smut in public, he seems like a total dirtbag. But as the story progresses there keeps being these little moments that click and you realise how much of that is just the way people interpret him because he's a Blank, and how much his actions are informed by the fact that he knows he makes people uncomfortable anyway so he started leaning into it a little as a defense mechanism. But he's a loyal, kind, capable man who saves the whole group on numerous occasions and would happily lay his life down for any of them. Wystan is a good person despite terrible circumstances, and someone who genuinely cares about people no matter what they think of him.

Fulgrim is my favourite character, despite all of his inconsistencies from book to book in the heresy. the concepts his character represents, a man who came from nothing, wanting to rise the rest of his species up to enjoy the finer things, is just so heroic to me. probably my favorite moment for his character, is when Fulgrim, Sanguinius and Ferrus Manus are all in a room discussing art, and Fulgrim is elated to have a shared interest with Sanguinius. it just warms my heart to see a basically inhuman, 9ft tall, general monster man share something with his brother, because in all of their transcendence of humanity, there still share our basic social needs.

My favorite is Skraal, the loyalist World Eater Captain. He was the sole survivor of an assault of the Furious Abyss and managed to hide/stalk the bowels of the ship for weeks. He managed to control his blood lust and rage enough to avoid capture and just pick off people until he could link up with others. He then sacrificed himself to give the Ultramarines and Space Wolves the time they needed to sabotage the ship. He is one of the heroes of the Hersey that doesn't get enough coverage. Here is a guy, who was able to resist the genetic urges in himself to engage is mass slaughter to spend weeks aboard a ship, hidden and avoiding capture. At any point, he could have lost his shit and gone on a rampage, but he knew it was more important for him to remain alive so he could finish the mission.

I forgot the name, so if anyone can tell me, i'm grateful. I like that raven guard that talks to a dying guardsman for a long time, initially discovered that he is using the dying guardsman as bait, but after the ambush is triggered and they finished their enemy, the raven guard dude tells the dying guardsman that he will be remembered and honored in an almost gentle way. While he does use the dying guardsmen as bait, he attributed the Guardsman and his platoon for killing a chaos marine, instead of taking the credit. Something about how while he is using tactic that can be seems as evil, but doing it with humanity. It really shows that a marine has no excuse of falling to chaos (except when they are blasted with corruption in the face, i suppose). Also it gives me a perspective that some Marines know they are made to do the most bloody and destructive job there is, but is trying to do it with the most harmless and benevolent way as possible.

I love seeing him navigate the division thats happening in the Word Bearers Legion and how he treats the people around him.

Xarl rocks for me. Design goes hard, he’s morally complex AND he’s a fucking badass. In the 3rd nightlords book (spoilers DUH) when he takes on the company champion with the thunder hammer IT GOES THE HARDEST IT COULD’VE! but what I find more interesting is the reactions to his death. Talos mourns him in a way he doesn’t anyone else, even ignoring septimus and Octavia being together after there separation order. And when Octavia says him and uzas saved her, calling him a good man, Talos laughs but looks down at his helmet. That’s a level or respect nobody else but Talos could get in the Nightlords. That opened my eyes to how much talos values Xarls perspective, both in large matters of the legions future, with Xarl being quite pessimistic but realistic in the fact he dosnt harbour any great cause or malice intent (for the standards of a Nightlord) and instead thinks the legion should fizzle into individuals fighting to survive. AND HE FUCKING APOLOGISES TO TALOS. APOLOGISES. A NIGHTLORD. AS HIS LAST WORDS. But talos also respects him in smaller matters such as his advice on when 3rd claw attack them because of uzas’ rampage. And even with the sorry of xarl poking the dog and then killing it, I think xarl is one of those who was poisoned by nostromo but may have morally improved in his time as a space marine? I’m not too sure on that but the fact I think it I beleive shows just how complex and multilayered Xarl was and why I love him so much.
