If I had to choose characters to give models to, I'd have to go with: .First Claw (yes, all of them) for the Night Lords, similarly to how Gaunt's Ghosts were given models and a datasheet a while back. They could always double up as a regular Night Lords kill team or something if their proper rules go to legends. .Honsou, both for the reasons in the video and because CSM need more characters for other legions. .Kor Phaeron for the Word Bearers. I know he already has a 30k model, but after the Psychic Awakening made him an important part of 1 of the books and DIDN'T GIVE HIM A MODEL, I feel like a 40k model for him is long overdue. .The Doom of Malan'tai for the Tyranids; it could be like a buffed neurthrope/neurotyrant, depending on how much of its craftworld-shattering power makes it to the tabletop, not to mention it's essentially the final major Tyranid character in need of a model (unless you count the Red Terror after it got retired). .Oltyx for the Necrons; after reading the Twice-Dead King duology I feel like he could be an interesting choice to lead an annihilation legion if you'd rather have a flayer king in charge than a destroyer lord, not to mention his character arc and the possible implications of him being the legendary Val'gul.

Iron Father Kristos should get a model. He's augmented to the gills and his description makes him sound like a Terminator. His helmet has 4 vision slits that act as a singular "eye" and his "pupil" is a red light that swivels along the line. He also has a giant red crystal on his chest that gives off arcs of energy.

Tyberos needs a model, but it would be so expensive, so massive, and so hard to paint compared to other Space Marine characters. Worse if he's enlarged from becoming Primaris. He'd pretty much have to have Dreadnought bits shoved into his custom Terminator armor. Forget false rumors, Tyberos' armor will have Dreadnought bits shoved into it.

NGL Arthur, you named basically all the 40K characters that I want to see get models. However, I could name you a bunch of Age of Sigmar Characters that I think deserve models.(ngl, if you ever feel up to it, would make for a cool video) But to save time, I'll just tell you the AoS character I would want a mini for the most.(at least one that has actual lore) That character is the Stormcast Eternal Hamilcar Bear Eater. Not only is he part of an underrepresented Stormhost, the Astral Templars. But he's also an incredibly fun character my favorite example is in one of his stories, he finds someone trapped in an underground vault, locked away for hundreds, if not thousands of years, cut off from everything that has happened, and one of the first things he says is that he asks if they've heard of him before. When they say no, they haven't, on account of being trapped for so long Hamilcar says basically says to himself(I'm paraphraseing here, but youll hopefully get the idea) "I didn't think they had heard of me, but I wanted to ask anyway, just in case." Plus, Hamilcar was the star of a Hammer and Bolter short on Warhammer+, and every AoS character that has featured on Warhammer+ has gotten their own model(s), Gunnar Brand and his family got a collection of models announced somewhat recently. Callis and Toll, despite being pre-established characters in other short stories and novels, will have their models drop very soon. And let's not forget Neave Blacktalon either.

So what I'd love to see in miniature form is not really a singular character, but an entire group. Possibly as a new army. That being the Dark Mechanicum that sided with Horus during the Heresy. The aesthetic of the wires and machines the normal mechanicus have, mixed with the spikes and demon engine styles of the warp would be fucking baller. Plus we'd get more lore on them, and as an extension the Iron warriors and Vashtorr as they the 3 work closey with each other to supplying the weaponry and war machines to the other traitor legions and warbands Basically as an army it would be very similar to the mechanicus in tactics and such, just different enough to be separate like with imperial Knights and Chaos Knights.

I personally wish the game characters gain more recognition. My favourite would be the Tau having access to both of their Kais characters, the one from the Fire Warrior game that killed an army's worth of enemies on his first day and the third Puretide student from DOW whose whole deal is being a one man army; after that throw in Caedo and Gargaz from SB&T. And the main reason I say all that is fanservice of course, but imagine a meeting between Sly Marbo, Kais Sr, Kais Jr, Caedo, Gargaz and Maugen Ra.The galaxy... nay... the UNIVERSE would not be ready for that moshpit.

There's a guy I think could have a cool model is the chapter master of the Consecrators. His name is Nakir and he's been mentioned a few times in Dark Angels stories and he wears a MkII helmet with a crest. I think that would be kinda cool to have but it wouldn't be justified

Clone Fulgrim. My dream is that when they inevitably release Fulgrim into 40k they also release Clone Fulgrim. And that he be the first (essentially) neutral character in the game, as in he'll fight for anyone if they're fighting against Chaos. So any army from any faction except Chaos (and Tyranids, of course) can field Clone Fulgrim. Lore-wise it makes perfect sense. It could even be that he is equipped with different weapons and armour depending on which faction is fielding him. I love the idea that he's such an exceptional fighter that even the Orks accept him as one of their own.

So my personal hottake whenever there are these sorts of discussions is that every playable subfaction as in the subfaction you picked in 8th or 9th edition for their fancy rules should get their own playable character be it a great leader or a more specialized character that is themed around what that subfaction is about. Regarding your choices I put most of them under novel characters. Basically characters who where introduced in novels that were popular enough for GW to want to make a mini for the character or as a way to promote a book. Regarding the SM chapter masters it seems as if GW had a rule that most SM books could only have one chapter master character outside of Forgeworld and some successors and that has been a thing until Shrike's old boss died and was replaced by him. It is weird. For my personal pick I am going for Decimus Felix because he appears in a lot of books and since Primaris are such a big thing we might as well get a character that was always a Primaris rather than a Rubicon marine.

Issue with the Overlord is that it’d be like the Astraeus tank or the other firstborn superheavy flyers: too big for plastic so it’d be resin, for some BS reason. Although the dropships like the Thunderhawk and Stormbird still exist, as models and in the lore. Personally don’t think we’re ever going to see one. I’ll come back with the creator’s name after I finish the video+comment but he made a really good Gabriel Seth kitbash. Maybe that’ll please any fans of his for the time being. I’m actually surprised the chapter master of the Imperial Fists doesn’t have a model. Tor is incredibly recent, model wise, Lysander needs an update, and I don’t see why their CM doesn’t have an actual character model. Both the Salamanders and the Raven Guard - hell the white scars and iron hands have actual characters with models. More Custodes models. Yes. I don’t even like them as a faction. Could literally make a Custodes character that’s an Agent of the Imperium to be allied to imperial armies on the tabletop. Honsu. Yes! Any Iron Warriors units are welcomed. Love his lore. So comically evil you’d think he’s a Word Bearer.
