The fact that this family thinks he's supposed to be single the rest of his life and he's only in his 20s is insane. The next issue is it should have been pretty obvious he hasn't actually healed fully from losing his wife. She was kind for being understanding but there is still a limit. Him still visiting her family on those specific days isnjustbthatvhe hasn't moved on and that's OK but should have been paid attention to.

I'm not going to lie Good on the original posters fiance for finally putting his foot down with his ex-in-laws even though I will say this is my opinion I would never remarry or even date anybody as long as I have my children and I'm able to you know see them grow up and become successful adults and give me grandchildren and that's all I would ever want but understandably I get that the original posters fiance didn't get to have that with his deceased ex-wife when they were probably planning to have children and start that tire idea life together so you know that would be entirely different

OP is way more patient than me. The amount of resentment I would have had when the sisters destroyed my car would have been through the roof. I would just despise them and the fiance for not cutting them off earlier or AT LEAST have told them about me earlier. The entire situation is partly his fault. I'm going to be honest, I expected him to back down and betray OP in every conversation he had with his late wife's family. On the topic of weight loss surgery, I've known 3 people who had the gastric sleeve operation (or just the Sleeve as it's called in my country (France)) and ALL of them have had some sort of problem from it ranging from not being to keep the weight off despite eating healthily, not being able to digest a LOT of food to having chronic deficiencies (which they all have despite supplements). This was not communicated by the doctors. So do your own research on adverse effects on top of discussing it with doctors.

I’m sorry, but if I knew my partner was still in close contact with his deceased wife’s family, continued to see them regularly after we started dating, then lied about being in a relationship/engaged to me, I’d be done. I wouldn’t have gotten involved with him in the first place honestly, and I don’t know why OP did. I wouldn’t want to be the second best or replacement or rebound, especially knowing if she was still alive, he’d probably choose her.
