I'm hoping someone buys it and does an L.S. Swap. There is some power. 8^)

Looking great! Hoping you do the KITT front, but either way, this is probably my favorite body style for the TA. Just having one back on the road with your magic touch will be great. Looking forward to more!

Right now I'm thinking I will do the KITT nose. I have to find one at the right price. And the bloody red light is $500 more. I'm working on a possible turbine wheel solution.

Dude, put that cowl induction setup on the car! It really helped the performance of my 1990 formula, if you haven't seen the video I have a full video on how I converted my stock formula 5.0 TBI to that cowl induction system: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX-We3yqjrGdkLs

I did see your video where you added the working cowl induction. You did a wonderful job. Since I do my own bodywork and paint, I wanted my extra parts to finance the mechanical things I need done on the car. I won't know until this spring when I take it to my mechanic to go over it and see what it needs to be mechanically sound. I am pretty sure I'm having him put on a standard 4 barrel carb and replace the distributor. It has the factory nightmare electronic 4-barrel that is tied to the distributor. I'm currently getting the stock turbine wheel and hub cap set up. This is my first 3rd gen trans am and I'm learning a whole lot in a short amount of time. Thank you for the inspiration.

Steve, nice to see another video! It is coming right along. Say, I think that I noticed some aluminum/chrome molding for Torino wheel wells in your shop? Merry Christmas! . . . Mike

Good eye Mike. Yes, I have a couple sets of Torino Wheel Lip Molding. I fixed the small dent on the lower driver fender today. I took the vent out and pulled it out with my hand. Have a wonderful Christmas Mike

Great to see that your at it again...... Just wondering if you think you will be building another Torino in the future.... Take care.

Hi John, I do have two people who want to bring me their torino to starskyize. I do look for one to buy from time to time. They are just getting so hard to find in nice condition. Only time will tell.

Looking great steve!! Glad to see your having fun with it and get parts! Alot easier than a torino!! I was wondering when a new video would surface!
@born_again_torinos3 жыл бұрын
@@tonysaylor2373 Oh yeah, the parts are everywhere, unlike the torino.

I bought my 89 formula in 97 and it had horrible tint that had faded purple on it, and bubbled etc. I feel you I spent hours laying in the hatch with a hair dryer and a razor blade... I was a teenager then so it was easier than it would be for me today. Though I do want to tint it now. here is my latest build thread www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-lsx/748741-ls1-swap-after-years.html since I've owned it since 97 its had a few iterations but the last was the major LS1/t56 swap.

My trans am was the same color, I had it painted black in 2008 still have the car still working on the KITT updates, I have the dash, center console installed the pod switches I have but not in the car and the nose and scanner. Your car looks pretty good And the mechanicals are not complex on the Trans ams. Are you going to add t tops or leave it a hard top? Great video.

Thanks Luis, That is great that you have one already. I've never done a kitt before and will not be doing the kitt interior. I want to make the outside exactly like the show though. No, I don't plan on making it a t-top car. I've seen some kitts without out them and the owners seemed happy. I would have liked it to be a t-top car though. Since I'm a body and paint man I'm not concerned about this body at all. Very straight without a speck of rust. My goal is to do this as inexpensive as possible. That is fun to me. I won't skimp on the nose though, I'll have to purchase one of those.
