The palusami was probably cooked in a umu (underground pit filled with leaves, rocks, coconut husk, etc.) It taste way better cooked that way-earthy and smoky. Thanks for sharing…miss the islands.

Bro I'm Samoan born and raised in California, last time I was in Apia was 2010. I recognize the place still, but it does indeed look way more modern and new from when I remember it. Even that damn McDonald's, I remember it still looking like a McDonald's from the 90s in 2010. And now from.watching Spanians video, I can tell that it's obviously been upgraded since.
