My problem is I kept falling for straight men, and some seem interested, especially at first, but then most can't deal with it and break off. Seems a pity really, but it had left me very insecure, until I met my partner, who knew he was gay, late in life, but accepted it and we've been together ever since. But I still dream sometimes of those straight men that either kissed me or seem to want to.

Great Video. I think the message is less about Grindr and more about being true to yourself as you start to explore your sexuality. I came out way before internet hook-up sites but I can totally relate to Jesse's experience. This is really great advice and it would have been nice for me to hear back when I was 18 and sneaking into gay clubs on South Beach.

Totally agree about Grindr. I too had a similar situation where I talked to a guy for a little bit then met up which turned into making out. It was a pretty chill, gentle experience, but looking back I sometimes wish the whole situation could have been different and more of a relationship then a fling. One of the problems with being gay is it can be very difficult to find someone to go out with, its usually because people fell uncomfortable asking another guy if they're gay. It must be a lot hard for "straight acting" guys like you because im assuming noone would think that you're gay. Like people used to do so before apps & social media. You go out to public places & meet people. I agree with him, Grindr is a terrible way to meet guys, if you are looking for something substantial. If you wanna hookup or maybe meet FWB, then Adam 4 Adam & Grindr are great. If you want to meet someone who doesn't think with their cock, then go out & meet people. Places such as the market, coffee house (though those are hard to find because of Starbucks), the mall, or simply network... Even a bar is better. It is a lot more work, but anything worth while is.

As for grindr being a "hook-up" only, that's something you assume. Gaysir is a simmilar website for norwegians. I found both of my exes there, and I owe the site much for that.
