Hello, today I updated the firmware for Discovery, the update went smoothly, everything works as it should except for one function that disappeared after the update, to use car net I need a carstick to connect to the Internet, previously I had the option connect to a hot spot from my phone but this option is no longer available in the WLAN settings, can I activate it via OBDeleven?

You need the pro subscription to change the ambient lighting. I recently purchased the thr obdeleven and all I could do was the soundaktor... I did have to spend £2 on 10 credits to do so. A pro subscription is over £50

Sadly to my knowledge it is not because android auto is in the head unit and not the VC unit. So it can't run it. I wish that would be amazing since I love the map there just sucks 90% of the time its off since android auto is on.

Some changes are even illegal, for example disabling auto start stop, because it changes the emissions. The rest is partly dependent on trim level, they don't want you to screw around. Some people even broke things and needed a dealer to reset it, you should know what you are doing if you change things there

@@erebostd Disabling start stop is not illegal, and virtually all cars allow you to disable this with a push of a button (in Europe, maybe it is different in USA/Canada). The reason the manufacturer doesn't give all the customisation options is because different models and yes trim levels, will have predetermined colours and graphic designs/layouts. It can also depend on where the car is going to be sold. A great example of this would be the "Power windows with ignition off," I can apply this to my car in Europe, but it states that it will not work on North American models.

@@DAZZER435 obviously you can disable it with a button. If not you would have a really bad time, sitting in a traffic jam. But giving the user the ability to change it permanently would jeopardize the fuel consumption and the emission rating. Technically changing this via an OBD code isn’t really legal either, but nobody cares. And yes, the reason stands for Europe and the US (and even Canada), just look it up!
