He got 2nd because the promoters botched the tire event. And gave the men only 5 seconds to flip an 1,100lb tire. The reason that lame ass decision was made was because of the tire the promoters chose for the women was too light. And in turn became a marathon of a time suck for the women due to the ridiculous high reps they were doing. So to make up for the fuck up, the promoters decided to change the mens time limit to 5 seconds to make up for lost time. It was bullshit. Not to mention that they actually didnt even give Larry a full 5 seconds.

It's just great to see how Larry stays so humble and willing to learn while he is literally a realistic threat to everyone in the bodybuilding, powerlifting AND strongman world. His willingness to learn, combined with his amazing genetics and hard ass work make me look at him as pretty much the perfect athlete. I feel we should all appreciate the fact that he documents his whole inspiring journey, and I am pretty sure he is coming to a point where he can literally choose whether he wants to be a world-class bodybuilder, powerlifter or strongman. I hope you'll keep doing this for the rest of your life and you keep documenting every part of your journey. I am sure you'll achieve a lot more great things. This was the best thing that could have happened for larry. A little more urgency on the overhead medley, or a little less bush league BS on the tire flip and he's the winner, but what would that teach him? He'll win every event here next year if he's healthy, and then go on to be a REAL contendor at the Arnold's.

It would've been good to qualify for the Arnold, but it's probably best that you didn't. This competition has given you a taste of what's to come if you want to pursue strongman, so now it's up to you to decide if this is what you want and if it is, you have the chance to train properly and not rush things for the next competition - this wouldn't have been possible if you would have qualified for the Arnold. Good luck Larry, there's a huge amount of pressure on you from countless sides, so take is easier

Love Larry as he is a super strong great role model and what I like the most about him is never having heard him say black, white, brown or yellow skin color and that is what makes him great outside with muscles but also inside with his mind! God Bless him.

I think he has a serious chance at WSM if he is willing to give up his abs and delts. Obviously he's strong af he just needs a little thicker core and more mass
@ezet
@ezet 5 жыл бұрын
Possible and would takes years. Must remember that the weights and events on WSM are on a totally different level than here. Most guys here would be no-lift on probably all the events in WSM finals

@@ezet personally I think It wouldn't be in years span I think it would just be a year of training strongman and going complete bear mode because he has the strength and genetic power. But for him to do the crazy deadlifts Brian Shaw and Eddie hall are famous for pulling would be a while

Its probably better that he didnt win this time. Next time hes more experienced and more ready for the arnold. And this keeps him hungrier for them sweet PRs

was thinking the very same thing. he is progressing fast enough as it is. he would probably destroy himself getting ready for the arnolds. he has all the time in the world

sieben jaundja exactly what I thought, he’s only 2 pts away which would make him more dedicated to his training, he’s only 24
