Leslie From someone who is half Italian make sure you always cool. Biscotti before cutting it. But, you did a great job on them. And actually you’re supposed to let them sit out in the air for at least two days before eating them do not put them in the refrigerator that’s just a little extra hint from Italian gal love y’all both have a great evening

I just made the biscotti's for the very first time and I made three roles straight line very nice and they baked very well they did not spread out at all and I let it sit for about 20 to 25 minutes before I cut them and put them back in the oven in 10 minutes and each side and they came out like I went to the bakery and bought them fiorella from Canada 🇨🇦❤

I have always put some marshmallows in my white and brown sugar it works I use a few large ones it's just a thought.... Wow bake it times 3...

I make Biscotti a lot my favororite is cardamom almond biscotti! My family and friends love it. And yes the anise extract adds a wonderful flavor to the biscotti! That was my mother in laws favorite.

I am many generation Italian. I tell you you did an amazing job on these! You are officially Italian LOL for a little different flavor next time try some anise extract still with your almonds and it gives a very light licorice flavor that is wonderful God bless all of you

Now we know why the recipe said to make 3 loaves. I bet yours would have been ‘crispier’ if they had been smaller and biscotti are supposed to be crunchy, that’s why you dunk them. Plus your cookies are really big. Regardless of size and crunch, it was obvious what you made was delicious!!! Yum!

I am full bloodied Italian and biscotti means twice baked. It is best to use flour on your hands when shaping the logs. Like someone else mentioned, it is best to let them cool before slicing them to bake again. Enjoy!

Although I’m not Italian, biscotti has been one of my most requested recipes through the years. I’ve made it many times. I’ve learned tricks to making it work or me. My recipe slices better right after I take it out of the oven, piping hot. It doesn’t crumble as bad. I don’t “saw”, just push though with straight edge knife. I only bake it one additional time but I place the slices on the bottom rather than sides, and turn my oven down to 300 degrees at that point. Just tricks that work for me. I love making it and sharing it.

Interesting recipe, I’ve made biscotti many times, it’s never spread like that , but they look yummy 👍🏼 my favorite is chocolate dipping the bottoms of the almond biscotti 😋

Love Biscotti. They are Italian cookies. We usually make them on holidays. Have been eating them all of my life. They look great. My mom used to put an egg wash on top to get them brown. ❤Charlene

Your instincts were right about letting the biscotti cool down. I usually cool them for 10 or 15 minutes and then slice . You did a great job. Deliciouso !

If you would have made 3 loafs as the receipe said it would have been shorter pieces thus not breaking. That is.wht it said 3 loafs Many people have made this knowing what they are talking about.

Mystery is solved, it’s your bowls fault! I am in Southern West Virginia and we have about 6 inches of snow and it’s supposed to snow all night, then single digit temps tomorrow! PB loves to adjust your camera 🙃then it goes back to the original setting. My Mama always adjusted the antenna on our old tv when ai was a kid. And then she put it back to where it was at first. Drove my Daddy 🤪

Becky from Acre Homestead just made some in recent video and I thought it looked pretty easy to make. My husband wouldn't eat anything like that (he's a meat and potatoes man) so I'd have to cut recipe in half so it wouldn't go to waste. Looks and sounds good. I love almonds.

I think that's why the recipe called for 3 loaves. They are smaller and easier to handle and slice that way. Take care and God Bless

Hope y'all stay safe and warm. Here in my part of West TN we got about 6 inches of snow. It's not gotten out of the teens all day. I think the warmest I saw it was 16 about noon.

I made cranberry orange biscotti at Christmas time. Delicious. My recipe was very easy and mine were a little shorter and thinner than yours, but they looked good for your first time. I want to try maple pecan next. Stay warm and Hod Bless..

I wouldn't toast sliced almonds--they're going to be baked twice anyway. The Danish whisk is great--you can easily get everything off with 2 fingers (God provided us with a natural spatula--clean fingers)!

Toasting them made it absolutely perfect! They were in the dough so they would not have gotten that toasty nutty flavor that they had from toasting them ahead of time.

Wow! That’s a good video on how to make biscotti! Im sure it’s a lot cheaper and better than buying them also. They turned out reallly good!

Hi Leslie! All I can say is wow on your biscoti! I love biscoti! The only thing I can tell you, is once you cook the biscoti loaf, you have to let the loaf cool completely. Other then that it was great!😊❤
