I want to say I’m so sorry for ur loss. He had saved so many lives with the work he done. He gave his life for others and not just that he lost his life to something he loved. Some of our hobbies are dangerous but then again, u can walk down the street and get shot or hit by a car whatever. When the Lord calls u home, it’s time. Even tho it is heartbreaking for us. I’m allergic to the swallowtail Caterpillar. So I’m terrified of any caterpillars. But love the outdoors and live at the river fishing with my sons. It won’t stop me from living my life and doing well I love even though I know it is a risk. Again I’m very sorry for ur loss. He was hero.

Bryce, this is such a moving tribute to your friend. This literally moved me to tears and has really made me wake up to the unexpected/unknown dangers of venomous wildlife and realise its time for my partner and I to do our venomous snake handling and first aid qualifications. have been developing more and severe reactions to scorpions and myrmecia over the last 2 years. this video goes to show how suddenly a life threatening reaction can develop. Losing a friend is so rough but losing a close friend who shares your passion is an absolutely devastating real life nightmare. Seeing the contrast in your emotion between when you were spending time together and now really broke my heart. I have tears streaming down my face and honestly don't be afraid to cry in front of people or on camera. it's normal and its healthy to let it out. you'll be stuck on my mind all night. I'm glad it didn't kill your passion. I'd love to see you advocate people having an epipen in every home with or without people who have know severe allergies because this is such a perfect example of someone finding out about an allergy in the worst possible scenario as well as the devastation that occurs when I life is suddenly cut short. I'm really really sorry this happened. you will get through it though and my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone he touched as much as he did you. chin up buddy keep on herping and continue your friends work xox

I lost my son unexpectedly at age 29 just a few months before his 30th birthday due to kidney disease and diabetes. I completely understand the emotions that you speak about. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share this with us. Coping with loss is difficult and different for each individual. I know this couldn't have been easy for you. I lost my Murphy, the leopard gecko I told you about. I've tried a couple times to do a video since (she continued her journey a month ago), and I lose it everytime I start. Your friend was a hero and an incredible being. I am so sorry you had to endure this loss. The two comforting knowledge nuggets I carry with me: 1. We will one day be reunited with all we love and hold dear, 2. Those that departed are at peace- it is we who must suffer in this realm until we reunite. Sending my love and prayer ❤

Amazing how fast time flies and precious life is! Glad you are still doing what you love inspite of losing an awesome friend to a bite/anafalaxis. I myself do to my extreme allergies can't handle venomous. Even a Hognose reacts like a bee sting to me. Makes me blow up like a balloon and need immediate medical care. Most don't know Hognose can do that to anyone allergic to bees. People need more awareness to anafalaxis is what's truly deadly. I love the Hognose that most assume is the perfect pet snake for beginners. But with any type of allergy that snake even becomes deadly fast. It's mind blowing. RIP Ryan. It's been years but a Legend truly remembered. Excellently done video! 👊 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Death is a gift, when it happens to young people it doesn’t serve it’s true purpose and becomes a tragedy, but the fact he died while doing what he loved most, he became one with the snake, and this is poetic.

Being a venomous handler myself for over 30+ years it's never "IF" you get bit/ invvenomation its when you are and only then can you pray to god ur in a location / position to quickly and effectively make it to treatment for whatever species you're invenomated by fortunately with all my years keeping breeding and handling a multitude of venomous species ranging from cobras vipers and even Gilas I've only taken one bite from a captive born and bred by myself eastern x western hybrid rattlesnake fortunately I responded to the invenomation extremely well not even receiving antivenom now it was on my thumb and was horribly painful and swelled to a enormous size all th he way to my shoulder but just short of them having to cut me anywhere to relieve ef pressure thank god so all in all I was just very lucky if that's what u want 5o call lucky. Lol
@MrGlenspace4 жыл бұрын
If he was allergic should he have been prepared with epi pen or injection plus IV drip. The anaphylaxis will kill you quicker than venom. It can close your airway and your blood pressure crashes. Not second guessing but if you know your sensitive then best to have the proper medical stuff on hand. As the saying goes, better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. Any way you look at it the story is a sad one indeed.

I sound so cynical but just watching this makes me feel like this video was made for the purpose of going viral and building a channel up.
