Hi John, I'm glad you like the flowers. They're so cheerful. I looked at your latest video of the Collared Dove. Amazing where they nest. They obviously think you'll look after them and trust you. I usually have a pair that nest in one of my roses but they've not been back so far this year. P

Lovely Peter. I think everyone can see it’s more than “abit of colour”. Made me smile. Garden is looking fab! And as you know that rural England with its depth is going to be mind blowing.

Good morning Jay Jay, Thanks for the lovely comments. When I don't have to race around the garden to get the video done in less than 10 minutes - cut off time - I'll perhaps say a bit more about the, 'a bit of colour'. The Rural England is growing in colour every day. I'll do a ladder shot and forward it to you. It's awaiting a decent camerman. I'll be in touch. P.

Hi Peter, thanks for the lovely tour. Your roses and your garden full of colour looking wonderful haha you do make me laugh 'here's a gate' - well it's a very pretty gate :) Your Ghislaine is coming on she was not without flower last year for me. Rural England looks very happy I have mine on an obelisk in what I call the no dig bed so I might have to watch it if she wants to spread out too much, either move her elsewhere or get a bigger support. Some of my climbing Icebergs are suffering badly with blackspot so I'm thinking of removing them after this season and having a rethink. Yours looks great, I think it needs a drier climate than I can give it. Blush Noisette is going to be fabulous if yours is anything to go by. I have a lot of buds on mine it didn't do much last year as it was bare root but I'm hoping for a nice display this year. Great to see Aloha full of buds, mine seems a bit slow to get going. Aren't the foxgloves pretty they just pop up everywhere I think ! New Dawn I have too, I'm hoping it can get going this year, we have to be patient with these bare roots but it's not easy waiting ! Your tomatoes looking superb and they are outside haha mine would be flattened and battered if I left them outside, and look at the sunshine, glorious how fab. We had sunshine on Saturday and I was out in the garden very early til late in fact when my husband got home in the evening he said are you still out here gardening and I had to say yep caught red handed! but there was no dinner to prep as I knew he was bringing pizza so that was a quick recovery :) Lovely walk round your garden again, it's all looking very pretty and colourful, take care.

Good morning Linda, Thanks for your very nice comments re my/our garden. It's another sunny day at the moment with quite a bit of cloud. Did you read about the Custard? My Iceberg isn't in the best of places near those big Leylandii trees but it soldiers on. The Ghislaine is coming on nicely this year. I'tl be interesting to see how it gets on throuigh the year. Whether it ends up as a climber of a large shrub remains to be seen. I'll have to ask her. The Aloha I've had for quite a few years now. It's in a bit of a dry spot and next to a Clematis Perle d'Azur which is a very thirsty and strong grower. My two Blush Noisettes seem to love it here and repeat all Summer. I love them. One of my Rural Englands is certainly showing off at the moment and the other is trying to. The tomatoes you saw are bush varieties/determinates and usually do OK there. I have some more plants in the greenhouse but that's a bit of a mess at the moment. I'll show them next time. They're all cordon varieties/ indeterminates. I love foxgloves, the bees love foxgloves and I can only presume foxgloves like my garden 'cos they just pop up here and wherever. I hope you enjoyed your pizza and have a good day today. Best wishes, P.

Thanks for the tour Peter. All is looking as lovely as ever despite the awful weather we've been having. I really like the section with the "Nice Day" rose and "New Dawn". I'm old enough to remember 1964 but don't remember the Joey "Custard". I do remember watching Blue Peter and they were burying a box containing bits and pieces which would be opened in the year 2000 and my brother said to me that we'd then be in our forties. We were both horrified as that sounded so old!

Hi Wendy and thanks for your nice comments. I was thinking, in the video I said B.B.C 2 was 50 years old I think. I should have said 60 years old. I'll have to take a look and edit it. Nice Day hols on to it's petals really well and New Dawn is just starting and the scent is just lovely, as you remember from the past somewhere I think.

Thanks for the tour Peter! Your garden has lots of jewels from perennials to roses. You also have Ghislaine de Féligonde, I just saw it from Linda’s garden. I want that rose but it needs a space. Your Pilgrim rose at the wall is climbing high, how old is that now? My garden has lots of colours now but we will have lots of heavy rain coming again. 🌹🌹🌹

Hi Gemma and thanks for your very nice comments. Yes I, like Linda, do have Ghislaine de Felegonde which is still flowering very nicely. Mine was planted in 2020. The Pilgrim was planted in 2012 so it's in its' 12th year. I didn't realise I'd had it that long. It's still flowering now and holds it's petals for a long time. The Fairy Stories tell me we've got rain coming here in Kent but seeing is believing. I hope your garden doesn't take too much of a battering as and when. P.
