michelle pfeiffer's character was there for the whole span of years, there was no time manipulation in her case and she even mentions time vortexes so she knows about them and avoids them. she also says that while being there she didn't just adapt but evolved. she could have learned and relied on the healing particles in the quantum realm to survive all those years which is probably why she was able to show scott how to collect them for ghost (who she didn't conveniently healed, just stabilized as they needed to collect those particles to continue eva's treatments). there are also glimpses of civilizations as they whiz through the quantum realm and she could very much have spent some of her time there. we still don't know the extent of her knowledge seeing how we won't see her again til maybe ant-man 3

@AccidentalGenius 7 I would suggest watching all of it. There is a consistent story for all the season's. It's online the list in order and which episodes are first and what follows after the arc. It gives you a better picture of the whole story between episode 2 and 3 of the movies. It's a must in my opinion to watch all of clone wars. Alot of character development lore and history. Atleast that's what I did with my sister made her watch star wars from episode 1 & 2 the movies, clone wars show in order and then the other movies along with rebels.

I only recently discovered the channel and am really enjoying it. I generally really hate movie reaction videos. Most seem to lack any insight at all, and do not show the actual movie screen for a lot of the video, so the viewer is stuck watching a reactor stare silently at a screen for stretches of time and have no idea what is going on. You guys avoid both pitfalls, and it makes it feel like sitting down and watching a movie with friends. Well done! Just finished the "My girlfriend watches" series for the MCU (thus far), and I look forward to watching a lot of the other videos on this channel. Thanks for the great work and entertaining content. As I understood it, her body was physically changed to be able to survive in the quantum realm by quantum handwaving. She says that “it’s not just adaptation, it’s evolution”. Likely living through the use of the healing particles that she used to help ghost and hank. Also worth pointing out she didn’t fully heal ghost when she touched her with the glowy fingers. It was just enough to stop the pain, they were sending Scott into the quantum realm post credits to get more healing particles for her, so her treatment is ongoing. Edit:spelling

Regarding how she could have survived for 30 years down there, I doubt it has to do with any sort of time running slower sort of thing. I think that in the MCU, those are limited to time vortexes, which she warned Scott to stay away from. Probably the two best ideas are either 1) She survived because she ended up not needing to eat or drink, ala the whole "adaptation is part of it, but some of it is evolution..." which implies she was fundamentally change by being down there for extended periods of time. And 2) that she survived in what many consider to be that vast city in the quantum realm.

I've gotta agree with the Kitty Pryde theory of selective phasing (to some extent). Realistically, obviously she would fall through the Earth, but more realistically you can't phase matter through other matter, much less if it's living and you want to keep it that way, nevermind shrink/expand near infinitely without turning mass into/out of energy.

You said you had an issue with Janet healing Ghost with a touch, but do you feel the same way about how she does the exact same thing to Hank a little earlier in the film? They established that her time in the quantum realm changed her, and given her ability to heal others with it, I'd say it's safe to assume she adapted in such a way as to sustain herself purely through the energy of the quantum realm.

The answer to how the mother survived for so long in the quantum realm to me (my opinion) is because she simply didn't need food, water, etc while she was there. She mentioned that she "evolved" there. That evolution probably is what kept her alive. She probably replaced those needs by absorbing the ambient energy of the Quantum Realm. My biggest gripe about her time there is that she was gone for 30 years and she looks 30 years older yet time works differently in the Quantum Realm. I would have expected that she would be either younger or older than she would be if she had stayed in normal space. Still, it is a good movie and an excellent reaction! Keep up the good work.

Since she’s been gone for 30 years you can also say that she’s been gone for 30 days or even 30 mins from her perspective.
@Brushless7073 жыл бұрын
Going by Endgame standards she would of been gone 30 hrs. I think Scott said the 5 year's was only 5 hrs for him. He also said time was unpredictable so for Janet she could of been gone for who knows how long.
@spectacularcat12343 жыл бұрын
Actually we have to wait till quantamania till we know how the quantum realm actually works.Because Janet did age pretty significantly in 30 years while scott did not even age a bit(just 5 hrs).
@AngeloBarovierSD3 жыл бұрын
@@Brushless707 I always imagined it like an ocean where currents are stronger in some parts, weaker in others. So, the time dilation effects vary across the quantum realm. Moreover, Scott had a fully-functioning suit (prepared for the quantum realm) and traveled there through a safer method, whereas Janet's may have been damaged or low on power and got sucked into the quantum realm. It's the difference between intentionally landing on the water with a pontoon plane vs crash landing in a normal Cessna. Either way, she clearly had adventures while she was there, which may have exposed her to forces/effects which aged her.

They must have had some pretty extensive computer classes in the quantum realm. 30 years ago I was working on a commodor64. She's rewriting the programming on a prototype quantum tunnel? After 30 years of no internet? I call shenanigans! Still love the movie for what it is. That just bugs me royally.

25:24 it's fun to talk about, but if you want answers to that you'd have to start by the fact that it'd be impossible to go quantum. Our own atoms can't become smaller than other atoms. And sound would definitely not be able to be heard at that size, nor light able to be seen. Photons are quite big compared to some quantum elements. So I have to not think about it and brush it off as 'it's a movie' if I want to enjoy it.

I think this movie is like Guardians 2 for me. I’d say it’s slightly funnier than the first one, but overall the story didn’t exactly do a lot for me, it dragged out a bit at times (like you were saying), and just wasn’t as original and fresh as the original one. The ending is just lame, like Holden was saying, it’s just so easy and lazy, she just touches her head and boom, problem solved. Jimmy Woo is a highlight tho, this movie actually officially established that it’s not the MCU anymore, it’s the MCWoo. Totally official btw. Overall a solid 6-6.5/10.
