I think the extreme detoxing, no fats, grains, beans, etc.. is geared towards those who are extremely chronically ill. Those who are bed ridden due to symptoms. If you’re fairly healthy, I don’t think you have to eliminate everything.
@bananaaaaaa Жыл бұрын
I also think so 💜 If you are not ill so much, you can eat them. Also if you eat them and fell worse, you can always go back to leaving them out.

This is great. I honestly don’t know what to do. I started MM a year ago. I still can’t drink CJ because my detox is so intense and it does not clean me out at all. Also, I lost a lot of weight this year. It has been a very hard year. Yesterday I felt like I had a terrible cold and ate Amy’s soup all day. Last night I felt the most calm I have in so long. This morning I drank my smoothie and by lunch started having deep detox. Tomorrow stopping raw fruits and veggies for awhile. Also, I think I have to change my mindset because I have spent a year going through a very difficult time and have WANTED this to work. Did I further my sickness or am I healing? Thank you for sharing all your experiences. You seem SO much happier now. Your soul seems lighter.

Hi Rachael, Thankyou so much for your update. I have had quite the opposite experience I came to MM with chronic constipation, Lyme disease etc, for me it helped me a lot but still not to the desired health I wanted to obtain, on my third round of liver rescue I decided to go fully raw, I follow a lady on KZbin Tannyraw, I’ve made a lot of her recipes and it hasn’t even been quite one month yet and all my back pain is gone, I have energy again, joints don’t hurt and my skin is smoother. It’s amazing how everyone is so different. Please don’t take your videos down I found them very helpful, you were open and honest with how u felt on the diet. ❤️ To you.

Rachel, what you experienced on the MM diet is, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, a spleen chi deficiency. This is from eating raw foods , cold foods, watery foods - every symptom you describe fits the picture. Now, for some people his diet would work fine. But those people are typically warm or hot by nature, more contracted, maybe constipated, etc. For you it was the opposite. It’s too bad, because, in general, his diet is simply WRONG for many, many people. In fact, his recommendations can be downright dangerous! Good for you for listening to yourself and your body!! Cooked, warm, grounding foods are healing for you. All the best.

I think the MM lifestyle is cleansing and detoxing. I’ve always known the fully raw lifestyle is highly detoxing, as is low fat. Since doing some cleanses, I’ve felt my skin dry out and joints are creaky! But I feel the liver cleansing will stay with me now forever. It got some stuff out of me. In that sense, keep up the videos, with a note in a prominent place of your new perspective. I’ve been following MM protocols for 2 1/2 years, but not kept low fat, nor always kept out grains. I found your video about Dr Gregor and it was the same time as I was experiencing my body needing more. I’ll also look in to the fibre book.

I had pretty similar experience following MM. Very little improvement after a year of strictly following diet. No noticeable improvement from doing detox smoothie or 369 liver cleanse. The chronic bloating is terrible. Skin also got very dry and flaky. Still on a very limited diet, gut just does not process well. Small amounts of millet, amaranth, quinoa ok. Going back to fermented food. Barbara O'Neill is a great source of natural healing methods. I very much appreciate your sharing your story! You're not alone in your MM experiences. Thx 😉.

Hi Rachel, my understanding is that the cleanse with the protocols should be done ideally only once a month. Do you think that if you ate more varied food in between cleanses that would have helped you feel better?
@RachelARamras4 жыл бұрын
Between cleanses I was following MM general protocol like not eating the foods said to cause harm to the body, which was recommended in the books. I can’t be sure what would have happened if I ate differently between doing liver cleanses. A varied diet can mean a lot of things, so I don’t know.

Thank you so much Rachel for responding so rapidly to my request. You touch upon everything and give an extremely good report of your experience with both of those approaches. Personally I have been doing MM for a year and had lot's of improvement in my health.I did the 3-6-9 once beginning of spring and release lot's of strep. 3 months ago I decided to do Barbara's lymphatic cleanse and got a lot out of it. But after 2 months I started to be bloated all the time with constipation. I am now cutting down on fruits and I am a little less bloated. I don't feel that my liver is ready to incorporated all the food in Fiber fueled but today I try miso and it was so good on my meal but I had a little reaction afterward. I do want to try fermented veggies and see if it will help my peristaltic movement. I feel that my liver needs to do more of the 3-6-9 before adding more new food. My goal is to add more variety on my plate so I can be freer around food and have more freedom when I share meals with others. Your experience testimony inspired me on that journey. Thank you so much to have take the time to invest yourself so generously in doing this video. I am sure that it will be an inspiration for many. I will be very interested and curious to hear how things go after few more months on Fiber fueled. I will definitively follow you. In regards to your past video it may be wise to wait until you have a clear answer that comes from within. MM protocol has help a lot's of people and will certainly keep helping a lots as years go by and there may bee a lot of people that can enjoy to listen to your past video. It would be cool if you could work with a practitioner to guide you and see if there was something missing. I appreciate your sincere review to learn what did work for you and are you totally healed now, today?
@RachelARamras Жыл бұрын
Hi! I have no more food introlerances or gut issues at this point. After I did the Fiber Fueled meal plan, I carried on eating a variety of plant based minimally processed foods, while still being flexible about less healthy foods. I have no need to work with a practitioner for food :) Incorporating the scientifically proven information in How Not to Die and Fiber Fueled has been the best thing for me. I was so focused on being "perfectly healthy" when I followed Medical Medium, and it made me more stressed about my health and food than ever. I don't think being "totally healed" is realistic. I'd say my gut is all healed, though other health issues happen for all sorts of reasons, and while a healthy diet can help, I don't see it as a way to cure myself of all ailments.
@jasminebarratt18098 ай бұрын
I like the medical medium books, that brain saver book saved my life. But I think some of the advice is a bit generalised. When he says low fat, some people might need that more than others, perhaps if they have been eating too much fat. But people who just eat a normal amount shouldn't have it too low as you need some fat. I think people should follow their body as well.
@kristileemaiellachoreo2 жыл бұрын
You are describing the same exact problems I was having on this diet. I think you were doing too much that your body could handle. that's why the CJ felt it helped at first, but then you did too much too soon. same with the low fat, you could have kept some avocado in at dinner. important to eat well balanced meals too for cravings (mineral salt, glucose and potassium at every meal and snack). minerals salts with meals is essential for cravings. for example, steamed potatoes should always be eaten with lettuce if you are very ill. potatoes are very detoxing and as they start to pull from the liver, our adrenals need mineral salts for support. Its really important to go slow and slowly incorporate these protocols, it can really make or break the healing
@volleyballmj942 жыл бұрын
Glad you listened to your body! No diet works for everyone and some work better for others! From what you’re saying about MM it sounds like there was very little fat. Fat is an essential micronutrient. Like you need fat to live. (Same with protein) So it makes sense why you were having those cravings for fats! There are even some vitamins and minerals that are fat soluble so if you don’t have enough to fats throughout the day, you can eat foods that contain the vitamin or supplements, but your body can’t absorb them. Another thing to keep in mind for folks is that salt is super important (especially if you exercise and sweat). I watched you other videos and heard your point about them being very salty. Whole food naturally have a lot less salt, so to get an adequate amount of sodium (electrolytes) you have to add salt. (Obviously if it tastes too salty for you, adjust to your taste and listen to your body, just something I’ve learned)

Hey. I really appreciate your video. I follow MM currently, and having such a hard time with it. I get so exhausted and dizzy and can barely function from "detox" and I've been wondering if it's the right thing for me. I've dropped it for now but I'm interested to see what people's experiences are... the community is overwhelmingly positive because negative experiences get deleted...
@BlueBackflip Жыл бұрын
The fact that you quoted "detox" leads me to believe you aren't sure if it's just detox or not. IMO it isn't. I was extremely dizzy among other things following MM. I got a lot sicker and it wrecked my gut for a long time. It really did a lot of damage to me. Especially that darned spinach soup. I think what people believe to be detox is mostly plant toxin overload from what they are eating, especially spinach (oxalates), also too many potatoes, raw food, smoothies, among other things like too much fiber. In Ayurveda dizziness and anxiety is a symptom of Vata imbalance, which is airy, mental. Eating too many cold foods, raw foods, leafy greens, etc increases vata which destabilizes the nervous system and especially the mind. This is why many vegans especially raw, are wispy and flighty. Warming foods, cooked foods, root veggies, nutrient dense animal products, warm oil massage on the body, and increasing your fat intake (ghee is very good for this) will really help level you out in this case. I did his protocol for 2 years, all the supplements and smoothies and 369 cleanse etc and this is my conclusion. People don't heal longterm on that diet (they may get better for a bit but then crash and blame it all on detox) because of plant defense chemicals coupled with nutrient deficiencies, and they think those symptoms are "detox". Then they buy mopre supplements from the company he has a financial stake in (Vimergy) and double down on the protocols and get even worse. Hope this helps :)

I will finish up the 9 days but with a few more tweeks, listening to my body and then add some healthy fats back in when its over. Or add a note about your new insights? Whatever you do its appreciated that you share your experiences and you are right: we are all unique! I have listenend to a lot of Med Medium podcasts and from what I understand it is not limited to plant based but animal proteins are included. His podcasts are more informative than the videos...my opinion : ) There seems to be no real "protocol". He promotes low fat but you can still eat nuts avos and meat. He does advise against eggs and diary products. I also think the list of supplements is a guide line ...same like in other treatments and therapies. You can choose what works for you. I have found that my body is dynamic in its needs ...I use a few core supplements like zinc vitc magnesium vitb12 iodine and then i will add new ones for short period depending on my needs and current situation. The Fibre Fueled book is great. I Have watched a few videos and webinars on this Dr and he is very inspiring. Exciting to be on a healing journey Good wishes to all in your journey : )

I'm bloated and constantly going to the bathroom on the medical medium diet too. The only problem is that my liver area inflames when I eat too much fat and protein. I've heard of people giving there liver a break by not eating high fat and protein for a few months, before medical medium guy. but when I read it from him. that's when I started doing it. And it helps, except going to the bathroom a lot and bloated feeling. I don't like Anthony Williams very much, using god as his voice, you just watch him talk and you know he's full of bullshit.. Also all the supplements his books were telling me to take, were actually hurting my liver area, I would feel inflammation. I stopped taking them all and I'm fine. I'm confused by everything, there is no clear answers, just a lot of bullshit artists making money on people who need clear answers like myself. The low fat and low protein has helped me though. I couldn't eat anything until I just went on a mono diet of steamed potatoes for two months and then I reintroduced other foods again. Simplification diets do help. I guess maybe I'll add grains, and legumes too. I'm so confused and angry though. I wish I was given the real answers. The western medical system isn't much help either. Thanks for your video.

At the end of the day I look TEN months pregnant, I didn't even know that my stomach could look like this. It's horrible. Not only is it extremely uncomfortable, I don't want to be around other people either so it's really impacting my social life too. It's even impacting my relationship bcs I don't want to show myself like that and I don't want to be touched. I also feel like my diet is more and more restricted. I get what you mean when you say that stuff comes out looking almost the same/semi digested. And when I eat grains (glutenfree ofc) and legumes it feels horrible too... I can't digest it either and my joint pain gets worse. I even ate some fish and shrimp bcs I just felt like I needed more nutrients that didn't make me bloated as f. I really don't want to eat that but since I can't really digest things properly, my cravings just got out of control. I know that they say it's bcs of detoxing old stuff, and that can be true in some cases, but my cravings got INSANE. It's impossible to live with that kind of cravings. I have also been strict with the fats. It felt like my skin was getting better but now it's dryer again. I'm also super puffy around the eyes and in my whole body, really. He says that it's bcs one is viral so that's probably the case. It's getting increasingly difficult to deal with this. I'm am confident in what he says about pathogens though so I have to find a way to do it that is sustainable for me personally. I can't be on a constant detox, I think I have to alternate between detoxes and a more "regular" way of eating. (Without the no foods still though.) It's difficult though when I don't digest grains and legumes well and they make me even puffier plus increases my joint pain...🤪 And yes, I gained 14 pounds. It's very difficult to feel satiated unless you eat A LOT of foods. It's SO expensive... And all the herbs and supplements...But as I said. I'm sure that I have these pathogens and I'm sure that many of my symptoms is detox-related. But! Something feels off too, so I need to change things up. Not sure exactly how yet. I have been thinking about buying that Fiber fueled-book. I actually digested grains and legumes a bit better before MM, when I tried to train my gut to tolerate legumes. (Slowly increased them on a daily basis.) Now, when I eat it on occasion, it's worse. Oh well..work in progress....🤔 This video is from a year ago, how are you doing now?🌸

Hi Rachel - I enjoyed watching this video and I think it's helpful to a lot of people who have their doubts about MM. I am on a MM cleanse protocol but have only known about MM for like 3 weeks. I am still a newbie trying to sort out whether he is the real deal, and your vid helps affirm to listen to your own wisdom. Some MM info seems great and other stuff doesn't sit well with me. I saw a comment about MM in the comments on a different channel that told a story about a friend of AW who had a nodule in her breast that turned out to be cancer, despite AW saying it was not a concern. Do you happen to know the source of that (the commenter said you may know)? I am very skeptical of MM's claims regarding body-scanning - the videos I've seen of it are not convincing. I'm not associated with MM/AW in any way, and I'm not a journalist or anything like that. I'm just a curious 40-something year old guy in Chicago who is trying MM protocols for some neurological stuff. I almost wrote you at your personal email, but I thought getting an email might be annoying to you.

Hi Michael, glad you like the video! I don't want to gossip about MM :) If you're interested in learning more about nutrition and improving your overall health I recommend reading How Not To Die by Dr. Michael Greger and Fiber Fueled by Dr. Will Bulsiewicz. I've found the scientifically backed information from their books to be incredibly helpful.
