I would suggest anyone trying to handstand to do it slowly, rather than kicking your legs up hard. Place your hands bring your whole weight forward on your wrists engage your scapula and try to bring legs up slowly. This massively improved my handstands.
@ordinaryguy53322 ай бұрын
Maybe ur right but I think different techniques and methods will suit different people in acc. to their body. For example, for the most part when I am able to hold the handstand, I didn't give a thought to whether slowly or rapidly raise my legs. Whenever I gave a thought, I would just end up back on floor. So not thinking about it worked for me. Similarly, for someone else, something else might work.
@anomaly32152 ай бұрын
@@ordinaryguy5332it's a lot more objective than you think, people should master floor pike pushups, then master decline pike pushups, then master wall assisted handstands chest facing the wall, then master back facing the wall, THEN you should be trying to practice free handstand, anyone can randomly pour their time in but only those with perfectly efficient training who focus on specificity are the ones with the best results

Wow, thank you so much for this video!!! ❤ Handstand has been my biggest dream for around 2 years now and I've attempted training for it a couple of times but, uh, after not succeeding within a month or two I thought that maybe I'm simply not made for it, maybe it's not something all women can do 😅 .. This video showed me that even people with a good physique might be struggling with certain movements at first and need to put in a lot of work to achieve the results they want. Knowing that you were able to hit your end goal in 200+ days puts me a bit more at ease because some things just take time...and I will now be aiming at a minimum of 6-12 months training for my goal too. Thank you so much for giving me hope that I can do it 💪

I'd recommend taking decent rests between attempts. If you fail a kick-up, don't continue, recompose for a couple mins. Also, if your elbows fall back, so no longer stacked on the wrists, you are moving in the wrong path and it is impossible. Finally, the main thing I focus on when doing a successful hspu is pushing the ground, I focus very little on the rest of the body, it made a big difference changing my focus.

You can do more than you think.. just believe! So inspiring Colin! Believe me.. these videos showing how hard you try.. how you persevere and remain consistent are so very helpful.. My guys love your vids because they are honest.. encouraging.. and show just how difficult it is to accomplish these moves.. And you with 6 feet 3 inches and long legs to maneuver makes these moves even more difficult .. and yet you are patient and show it can be done with persistence.. consistence .. and a whole lot of courage :) 🤗 Btw.. please be extra careful doing those pushup handstands.. concerns me you might get a concussion! Also using a book on a ganglion can work.. but can also fracture the fine bones in your hand.. please be careful.. So proud of you for working so hard to help other guys get where they want to go..Colin you are truly awesome.. so keep it going:) Jen999💙

It took me a while to understand about the forward lean descent eccentric phase of the movement. But it is in fact to hunch the shoulders forward into protraction = Upper back rounding internal rotation of the elbow pits towards each other and that is what pushes the weight forward past the fingers hands the weight shall at all time be in the fingers backside of knuckle area. But that is how it made mine freestanding hspu more consistent

@maucalistenia Жыл бұрын
Using the wall is key. It's better than trying to kick into a freestanding hs hundreds of times.
@Kiintf2 Жыл бұрын
@@maucalistenia yeah I definitelty agree especially since energy isn't lost on bad kick up attempts. Do you notice chest to wall being more beneficial than back to wall?
@maucalistenia Жыл бұрын
Both are good but chest to wall is better for correcting the "banana hs", since your all stacked close to a wall that is going to help you to understand how your body needs to be straight fron head to toes. It's a little bit more difficult than btw but definetely worth it.
