The obvious care you put into all your projects is so refreshing, but this house, this house is something you should have pride in as I'm sure you do. You have and continue to outdo yourselves, every little thing is thought of, I can hardly wait for the next bits!

This is unreal quality work! Being into Balkans construction guild myself, I've seen almost all (not in a good way) but this building opus has topped all of it and put itself in class of space technology production - precise, up to specs and well elaborated. What a feast! I haven't heard this piece by Mozart in many years - to be honest, it's not his most sublime work - it does the job, but it's well below his best. The house is coming on well. It's going to very energy-efficient - no bad thing nowadays - my stone-built house is over 200 years old and is rather difficult to heat. There's not really any cavity in the walls and barely any foundations. We stick to heating the person rather than the room. Is your glass wall south-facing? If so, I can see possibilities for your sloping roof and photo-voltaic panels.
@lignumchannel
@lignumchannel 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Nicole!:) I wonder sometimes what would Mozart say about me using his work as music for my videos hehe.. Yes it faces south and as sun goes down as winter approaches, it heats the interior more and more during sunny days. Even now without all the glass doors and front doors installed, there is noticeable difference when yo walk in in the chilly morning. PV will have to wait a year or two until I financially recover a bit..

@@lignumchannel Mozart was one of the first composers who did not rely on a patron to keep his family fed. He lived by his wits and the quality of his work which was reflected in the amount of it that was played in concert halls. He was a pragmatic man who would have been happy for any exposure, as long as he received money for the performing rights.

Great music, great looking crew (well, one, anyway 🙂), beautiful house, and a product that reflects your talent and creativity, both in your editing and building. As for your one crew member, you're a very lucky person to have a significant other who jumps right in and dirties her hands, though those leggings don't seem to be work-approved clothing. I mean, I don't remember seeing that on any job site, large or small, in my 45 years in construction.😁 Look forward to the next posting.

Do you not have to put a vapor barrier when you transfer from concrete to wood? it looked like you placed the wood right on the top of the wall, our codes make us place a plastic , foam, or metal to stop the transfer of moisture. Thank you for watching, glad you like it! Yes, you are right, wood should never come in contact with concrete. Are you not concerned about the heat-bridges due to the metall parts sticking though the insulation? They will conduct warmth from inside right to the outside, and the other way around. The rubber will not stop them from having condensation at their base and within the wall.
@lignumchannel
@lignumchannel 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I am a bit, I must admit. Although the part sticking out will be surrounded by wooden verticals so it won't be in direct contact with cold air. I guess I will have to wait and see how it will behave. I saw multiple buildings with similar solution being build over the last decade and there are no problems so far. Hopefully it will stay this way.
@jumbleblue
@jumbleblue 2 жыл бұрын
By the way. In the simulation you can add beams within the insulation and their material and dimensions. You probably have to choose a overly wide distance of them to accomodate that you do not have continous beams and match the final metal area per m2.

It is a stunning build so far, i really like the design for what is already visible. Most of all, il like your attention to the technical details and how you fabricate and customize a lot of the materials. What kind of climate you have overthere? Seeing how much effort you put in isolation, the climate is different from what i thought it was. Do you have cold winters?
@lignumchannel

Thank you very much:) We have continental climate where during winter, temperatures sometimes go down to -20°c but only for a day or two.
