So YES, I have sold my Porsche Taycan after only 2 months but it is a different driving experience so I took it for one final drive and I think I've realised why it gives me headaches

I’m sure his Urus shows 300 miles when full but it you keep stamping on the throttle at pull away speeds repeatedly then I’m sure it wouldn’t return 150. Range all comes down to how it’s driven regardless of the fuel source.

@@TheDougSpot you say no, but yes, flat out accelerations will drain it quicker. Those points you also mention are true. Also depending on the type of journeys as well. Many points, but his driving style will effect it and if you saw his previous video with his staff in it doing repeatedly full accelerations then this will have contributed to the low range.

@@DCAKAJ But this comment just points out that pushing a car to its max will mean it can't go as far. It doesn't apply only to electric cars. You can work out the "claimed range" of a petrol car by multiplying the average MPG number by the number of gallons of petrol you have in your tank. This will give you the "claimed range" in miles. If you push the car to the max, the MPG and subsequently the "claimed range" will go down dramatically.

I just don't think he knows how electric cars work. The mileage went down so quickly cuz you are flooring it. If you drive it like 50 kilometers, the milage will adapt to the consumption. Its all about learning how electric cars work. Not good to rate a car you only driven 185 miles.

At this point I agree with you why you are selling it not because you had to but in honest owners of that particular car have been stranded as the range is not as it says its winter now so imagine the range with heater on etc....I too have an electric car and fed up driving around looking for charge points taken over by the London taxi and PHV .....can I charge it at home....I can't wait 15hrs....Good luck to next owner

There are only 4 high voltage chargers 🔌 that charge up the Porsche fast in the uk within 20 minutes. Charging the Porsche from home takes about a day.
