I love your hair and how thick your locs are, I started my journey September 2nd and am about to hit six months. My hair is very fine and soft due to the thickness kinda dying after I bleached it five years ago, thankfully my hairs growing and now is taking form but it was a lot of patience and understanding that everyone's journey is different. Your video gave me hope and I enjoyed watching your 1 year journey, it was inspirational and I think I'm going to try out braid outs 😁

At least the first yr to 2 my daughters at the age age doesn't notice or care much, y braiding sessions are so hard because we spend 15-20hrs wash, comb, braid. I use 3 different kinds. One is the ors hair lotion and water. The second is a moisturizing leave in with water. The last is aloe vera gel oil and water mixture. Right now the hair lotion and water works the best.

Thank you! My sister started my locs for me. She used wax but I prefer using aloe vera gel because of the buildup left with wax. We decided on coils instead of twists to keep from having the "twisted look" for extended periods of time. In the beginning I retwisted more often than I do now. Maybe about every 4-6 weeks.
