Christo - love this detail showing the difference in old swing vs new. Question: When you talk about the feeling of throwing a ball with your right arm at the golf ball, is the feeling that you are throwing it straight down on top of the golf ball or to the right side of the golf ball. I assume you are not thinking of the "trying to skip a rock across the water" move because that would be the shallowing move from the inside. Thanks in advance for your comments. I hope you took home all the skins today!

What I've noticed is instead of your hips out racing your upper body which makes you get stuck under, the "over the top" feel has got your upper body and hips moving together in the downswing which gives you so much more space and clearance. I have the same issue at times and my feel isn't necessarily over the top but my feel is that my upper body chest and arms start the downswing instead of my hips turning to start, which really just syncs my lower and upper body back up

This is not really OTT and yes it looks similar. What I see differently is that you control the right side more with your head position. You move your right shoulder out which is associated with OTT but since you control the right side the right shoulder moves more down than your old swing. As long as your right shoulder moves down you can not be OTT.
@thomasfraser90726 ай бұрын
Yes his right shoulder is pull down by his hands doing a sudden karate chop at the transitional part of his down swing which immediately depresses his right sided scapula bringing his right shoulder down as it elevated his lead side scapula shoulder complex which automatically turn inward towards his spine to complete his great swing. At least this is how I do in. My right sided scapula glide inward towards my spine is the key to my magic miracle swing. Cheers😊👍🥂

I honestly don't see anything over the top (apart from the figure 8 practice part), even in slowish-mo. I just see a really good looking, in-to-out, indeed Hogan style swing. Over the top swings make me gag, like viscerally, and I didn't feel any of that here. 😅 I guess, like with many non pro Golf-tubers, you just discovered a "feeling" (in this case over the top) that helps your particular swing to get into a good impact, even if the resulting swing doesn't exhibit much of what the feeling aims to do. Criticisms said, I absolutely love your swing! EDIT: at 7:30 ish at the freeze frake you can actually see the paradox, the old swing is over the top (because you got stuck, as you said yourself), the new swing is in a beautiful and perfect shallow position, exactly like every text book wants you to be. There is no escaping physics, just differences in human perception. As I said, I don't want to discredit your work, you have an awesome swing and your ideas probably help many people! And speaking of physics, what did you try to say with centrifugal vs centripetal force? They are the exact same force, just formulated in different reference frames (credit: PhD in engineering).
