I've been in polyamorous relationships (I had a boyfriend who was seeing multiple people and a girlfriend at the same time). Story 2 had me screaming about how this is not how you make poly work. If you have to pressure someone into it, they're not down for it. For another thing, you just basically invited yourself into their relationship. Just... no. If you can't handle not being her boyfriend or just friends, then *you*, good sir, are the problem and need to walk away for both your sakes. Also his inability to catch on that commenters were calling him creepy... dude. Really? Finally, dude, you are not a good poet. I've written poetry since middle school and won awards for mine. Gosh, now I feel kind of weird about my guilty pleasure-romance novels. Apparently no one in the comments section is familiar with the word "pillar" being a euphemism for a man's erect penis in a lot of those romance novels. It gets described as an "ivory pillar," a "golden pillar," or an "ebony pillar" depending on the ethnicity of the guy. I think the language is used to keep it from being labeled as "porn," There's a lot about "split peaches," "lotus blossoms," and others euphemisms for the woman's body as well. In my defense I read one of those for the laughs about once or twice a year. They're so formula driven and pretty good for giggles when you're down and bored.

The emphasis on "the rules" they established and how they "broke" them, the entitlement and attachment to A... it's just a very messy world view. OP keeps going on about how A needs his support and cannot function without him by her side, but I'm guessing it's the other way round and he's seriously projecting. His inability to comprehend that dates, even out in public, are meant to be intimate and his constant third wheeling is an intrusion. He also doesn't seem to understand that whether or not they agreed to this weird relationship he imagined at first, they retain the right to revoke it whenever they want. His insistence that they agreed, so they can't keep him away is eerily similar to people who don't understand that consent can be revoked. I really, really hope this is a troll. I just can't imagine someone like this really existing and being so insanely oblivious to how deranged they're acting.

He has internalized an idea that therapists are just useless cranks from that. He probably has more going on, but how can anyone know? He is slowly slipping down the nice guy rabbit hole and I worry about him, but at this point I am just moving away from where I live and refusing to contact him. The part that truly creeps me out the most, is how this stalker, so genuinely, and yet so flippantly, as such an unexamined afterthought, believes that "She Will Crumble, Without Him" (spoken in a disturbed monotone). He sincerely views her as a possession - HIS, fragile, delicate, possession, constantly on the verge of being smashed into oblivion. IMHO, it speaks to a bubbling violence hidden barely beneath the surface, and of his unconscious ruminations and desires to pound her face into the asphalt, oh just a few hundred times - because of the rage he doesn't acknowledge he feels so keenly toward her, for having had the audacity to have rejected his amorous advances, and worse yet, to have had the gall to have "replaced" him with this obviously inferior specimen, her boyfriend... I'm legitimately terrified for the safety and well-being of this poor, harangued, lovely young woman, and her dear paramour.

S1: I feel so bad for Op. It sucks that the responsibility of revealing the moms dirty deeds fell onto them and I can't imagine the guilt that's eating at them. S2: Wtf was this post? 😭 The pillar comments is so degrading. Op sounds like he doesn't even see her as a person, he puts her on some weird pedestal. As serious as OP's situation is, that part of OP's mom "just moving across town instead of cross-country without anyone knowing" reminded me of the somewhat tragi-comic song "Klas-Göran" by the Swedish singer Lill-Babs. It takes place over a century ago in Sweden, with a maid giving away almost all her possessions to her love interest so he could emigrate to the US and start a business and then bring her over. She is naïve and refuses to believe she got scammed and waits for years on end for him to write a letter back and tell her to move to the US with him to be his wife. By the end of the song she briefly mentions that people often have seen him in the local village, sometimes daily, since he took all her stuff and "emigrated", but she brushes it off as "evil rumors".

STORY 2:…….OP’s giving me creep vibes……tf….. And honestly kind of entitled considering he keeps threatening to no longer be friends with this girl if he can’t be romantically involved with her in some shape or form. The reality is if this poly relationship doesn’t work out and they just want to be monogamous, OP is not going to be seen as important as the boyfriend. It seems like OP’s wanting to assert himself where he’s not wanted. Stop with the weird architectural talk….. that’s cringe…. About the update, OP is really giving off nice guy vibes constantly going “oh her boyfriend is controlling her and keeping her away from me whoa is me“. Dude you are forcing yourself into the relationship having this delusional throuple so you can fulfill your romantic feelings towards a girl that just doesn’t feel the same way about you. Sure you’re her “best friend“ but that doesn’t mean you need to third wheel their dates. It does not matter that you two were childhood friends, that you were there for her through thick and thin, you are coming off as an obsessive creepy entitled freak that can’t get over the fact she does not want to be your girlfriend! And constantly threatening to no longer be her friend because you’re not getting your way is controlling. Opie is constantly complaining about how the boyfriend is controlling yet he can’t sleep pulls the cord I’m not gonna be your friend anymore because I’m in love with you and you won’t respect my emotions and good type of BS to hold her hostage in this three-way relationship so he can get what he wants. She’s only going along with this polyamorous crap because she doesn’t want to lose her friend who keeps threatening to pull that card if he doesn’t get his way. Good God the mental gymnastics OP is playing to make it seem like he’s completely harmless, pure delusion. The whole I write pretty so I’m good at metaphors“…… Honestly what really threw me for a loop was him chastising the girl for not studying on the day she was hanging out with her boyfriend. Like dude WTF? This has to be a troll. I have read a lot of nice guy/neck beard/Incel stories close to this, but come on there is no way OP is that delusional and entitled to have his feelings reciprocated by the object of his affection….

Story #2: This guy takes obsessive best friend on a whole new level. He demands having an active role in the relationship, which is flat out creepy. His friend was probably desperate not to lose her best friend, and then the boyfriend was easily able to talk some sense into her, and showed her how batshit crazy this all was. OP thinks boyfriend is being controlling, when OP makes a list of his requirements as best friend. This is beyond creepy. He has no respect for boundaries that must be in place whenever friends enter relationships, and taking that to a whole new level.
