She felt duped bc he hid the affair kid from her for 16 years. If she knew about it she would ve taken another decision. He couldn't stand up for his affair sin bc he felt guilty for cheating and hiding the baby from his wife and he had to look the other way. I Don condone what the wife did but if you you see your own son punched by a bastard affair son and then get punched when you are trying to stop it then you would ve taken more brutal and cruel route. 1. What a horrible situation. I can understand a wife being bitter over the situation, but locking the kid out in the rain and cold? The fact that Dad had an affair w/OP's mom by cheating on his wife, this entire situation is one of his making. OP shouldn't have had to deal with this mess to this degree. 2. SYORY 1: Dad’s NOT Trying his best for OP. Taking the kid in after he lost his mom so he doesn’t end up in foster care is the bare minimum. He’s not putting any effort to protect his son from his wife and his children being hateful towards OP. OP is literally at the point where he feels completely unwanted in his dad’s house and has to keep his valuables tied to mom in a backpack with him at all time so they don’t get ruined. It seems more so like the Dad is just letting the family take out their grievances against him for having an affair onto OP being the product of the affair which is BS.

Of course he's a crap human, he had a freaking affair, lied about this kid's existence, and then this poor kid is forced to live in this hell-hole because his Dad likely just feels guilt and maybe afraid for his already shambled rep., and just allows his family to beat on the kid like their personal whipping boy for their anger toward their dad/husband. And the Dad isn't the only crap human, his maternal grandparents are bags of dicks too. And of course that scum family of the Dad. The poor kid was fucked the moment he was born, and I hope by 18 he takes his mom's maiden name (if he doesn't have it already) and makes something great of himself, if anything so he can have a good life he rightfully deserved as a child. (And in small part a big 'fuck you' to the crap family he had been stuck with.) (Or maybe he can adopt the friends as his new dads, they definitely act more like ones than his sperm donor.)

As an affair child myself, I really feel for OP, in my case my father died first from Covid, his wife knew all along about the affair ofc, but what she did when he was hospitalized, was inexcusable, she deliberately lied to the hospital that he didn't have a son, it was a pain to have to prove that I was his child. She also took my inheritance, but odly she was paying for my college, idk why, unfortunately I couldn't do anything because I didn't have the money for a lawyer and they live in another state. Then my mother passed away last year from cancer, and somehow my stepmother find out and cut the college money (paying college works differently in my country), I can't wrap my head that she did it on purpose. Other family members took me in but it was hell because they are highly ignorant and I was pretty much unhappy and depressed, my brother and Sil were the only ones by my side, they helped me find a place to live and a job, things are still tough, but I'm getting through it. I have the feeling that my stepmother would treat me the same way as OP stepmother if my father was still alive, my grandma said that my mother feared for my life if I visited my dad, she would always deny it to go visit him, but he would visit me sometimes in his business trips, I hope OP life gets better.

You're probably right. He still wants to have his cake and eat it too, so he's likely poisoned his "ex" fiancé claiming she is some "stalker ex, giving him and his family problems".. Ohh, hmmm, wasn't that the exact same BS line he gave OP? Well, at least we know he doesn't like to stray from his favorite one liner jokes. So here is how OP handles it - She gaslights the gaslighter. Create an all new fake persona - FB, insta, burner phone, etc. Make sure you keep the privacy setting high, after all, you want the "ex fiancé" and the gaslighter to see the profile exists, but not that it's a dummy profile. Find pictures of a VERY attractive woman who looks nothing like OP, take one of the photos OP took with the dick, and photshop the Fake woman over OP, then set that as the profile pic of the Fake accounts. (Do this multiple times, so each account has a diff pic but still has them together, so it looks more realistic). Next step, take screenshots of their chats and texts, but any place that would have OP's name or number, photoshop the fake person's name and burner number over it to make it look like he was having convos with the fake woman. (Save some of the juicy texts and messages for OP though. Like half for the fake girl and half for OP, in case the fiancé wants proof from "both" women.) Once you have thoroughly established the "existence" of the fake woman and the "relationship" between the dickless wonder and the fake woman, then message the fiancé as the fake woman. Be indignant, be angry, ask her "WTF is wrong with you, you home wrecker?! We've been dating for over 2 years and now you think you can come waltzing in and pretending like he didn't already dump you 3 years ago? He warned me you were a stalking psycho that couldn't get over him, but I thought he was just exaggerating! Except here you are now, coming out of the woodwork pretending like you're with MY man?!" Use his poison against him. It will plant the seed in the fiancé's head; "wait.. He told her I was a psycho stalker ex? He told ME some other woman was a psycho stalker ex!" Even if she responds aggressively, she'll still start to question things. If she comes at you like "OP, he already warned me about you..." reply back with "Who TF is OP? Don't play dumb with me, why the fuck are you trying to hook up with my fiancé?!?" Don't let up, don't let slip that it is actually OP. Then, when the microdicked dick and/or the "ex" fiancé actually do contact OP to confront her, once again, play dumb. Turn it around to "who the fuck are you?! Why are you calling about MY boyfriend? Don't lie and claim you've been with him! We've been together for almost a year, I've practically lived at his house all this time, and never once saw you or any other woman's things there. Do you think lying about being with him will convince me to break up with him?? He warned me you were crazy, but fuck, I guess he was right." Make sure the fiancé understands it's 2 different women, with 2 different relationships with him. She will eventually think "where there is smoke, there is fire". For bonus points, OP should keep her profile public, make her profile pic a pic of her and him AT his house, in his car, etc. I'm sure she has to have some pics with something in the background that when the fiancé sees it, she will recognize it. Make it harder for the penile-challenged philanderer.

Actually it's probably that the boyfriend doesn't _want_ fiancee to have anything up. Notice she suddenly didn't have anything linking them together? It's highly probable that boyfriend saw and freaked, gave some lines to get her to hide their relationship (maybe even using OP as an excuse). That way, any girls currently or in the future won't find out about fiancee and vice versa. The ex is trying to make it easier for him to cheat as he pleases.

Story 1: obviously NTA. Sounds like textbook "Sins of the father" syndrome here. The dad messed up hard and now the son is getting the brunt of the vitriol for no reason other than existing. While I commend the father for trying (at least initially) to make amends by bringing him to his home, he clearly wasn't trying enough to make things right in his household. While I agree it's a distressing and extremely bad situation for everyone involved, it doesn't change the fact that this was a hurdle the father wasn't present enough to jump over. Why did he agree so immediately to the son moving in with his friends? Because that was a way out. That was his golden ticket. He couldn't find a way to fix the issue, and so his friends came in and saved the day for him. All that said - we should focus on the fact that the OP was able to get out of that situation, and that he's already improving. This is good. I wish him the best. As for the father's family, they're a bunch of vindictive pieces of crap. How could you attack and blame an innocent kid over something his father did? And the half brother cutting up those pictures....18 years old? That means he's an adult. This adult was so childish and vitriolic, he destroyed a person's memories of their dead mother...and for what? For WHAT exactly? Did he know the mother? No. Did the OP do anything at all to this guy? No. There was no reason for such an act, and I hope karma absolutely tears him a new one - along with the rest of his sh*tty family. I swear he better had gotten an actual punishment when he "apologized" or the father is even more disappointing than he already is - if that's even possible.

Obviously the wife and the kids are being horrible towards OP for something he had no say in, but ultimately, this is all his father's fault. He had an affair, then he brings the product of said affair into the home he shares with his wife and children- who are now constantly reminded of the father's selfish and unfaithful actions. He forced OP onto his unwilling wife and kids and basically told them to suck it up and accept OP and OP is paying for it. Again, that doesn't excuse anything the wife and kids did to him at all, but I don't blame them for being cold towards him. Like I said, he's a constant reminder of his father's sleaziness. If I were the wife, I would just divorce that sorry arse of a father the second I found out he had another child from an affair.

1) So terribly sorry for the loss of you mom, and how awfully you are being treated. To say there is no proof is BS. Your dad should step up and do better. It's not your fault your dad was a cheater and put everyone in this position. Your dad should pay for the restoration of you cards and photos. After update: It's sad that you are in this position. Your half siblings are nasty and making your life more miserable than it should be. Do say yes to an offer to move elsewhere, staying where you are is untenable. I do not agree that your dad is doing his best for you. After next update: I am so glad you have others on your side and will have somewhere to go where you will not be mistreated. It is sad your father can't be better at being a father, but you can make a good life for yourself now that you have support and help. A different school and therapy will be very beneficial. 2) Sorry OP that the relationship you thought you had was deceit an illusion. I'm glad you started realizing the truth and can now take the necessary action. Do not wast any more of you life on this POS. I hope you message his (not an X) on facebook to let her know what a lying cheater he is so she also can know the truth and make an informed decision. He probably only took in OP because he felt bad, but if he truly cared for his son, why didn't he do more? Isn't he the person who cheated? Isn't he an adult? Wasn't all that resentment supposed to be on the him? Yet he let be carried by a 16 yr old and was "blindsided" when OP wanted to leave? Also, that 48 yr old child shouldn't be a mother. 1. Not thinking is not an excuse for assaulting someone. Cops aren't going to respond differently. He's trying to excuse his actions like he's ignoring how would brother feel having to sleep in the shared room with the brother that chose to attack him physically where he could wake up being beaten on? Not saying the family was good in any way, but he really doesn't care what he's done any more than they do. No one is considering the conversations between the friend and the father aren't here nor is the fact the dad might not be fighting to keep him because he knows his son is safer in the friend's home. 2. She needs to stop dating and work on herself. They are both red flags everywhere. Any partner of hers will have to wonder what she's snooping through to try to accuse them of cheating, let alone her partner has to be her dirty secret so she's not much better than him on that count. She has to lie about dating him. She is so immature that she can't risk anyone knowing she was dating him so thinks letting him cheat on someone and use her is okay. Her choices throughout it all are questionable and makes her story questionable. Did the post ever exist? He knows how to hide the chats so how did she so easily find them? Too much falls apart when you think about it.

No way could he be this clueless that he thinks everything is copacetic. God. I this is a good turning point for OP. Maybe distance, safety, and therapy will give him the chance to grieve and heal. Incidentally the stepmom is disgusting. If she knew about the affair then she knows who the true culprits are. OP is innocent. S1 My heart absolutely breaks for OP. He literally didn't do ANYTHING wrong, they're literally mad at him for existing. OP's dad (I honestly don't feel like he deserves this title) is just.... A spineless doormat. Not only did he cheat, which makes him an automatic asshat, then basically abandoned that child. The one thing this man did for his child was taking him in when his mom dies, while simultaneously introducing this kid to his future abusers. And then once the abuse starts to happen, he doesn't do anything. Nothing at all. And then when OP finally gets out of there, he just goes ''welp, so much for that!'' Absolutely horrific. Then step-mom, truly doing the evil step-mom stereotype justice. I think it's understandable that she would be upset and bitter because her husband cheated and now there's this kid suddenly in their household. Her emotions regarding husband's affair are valid and I would understand why she would be apprehensive about taking in this child she's never even met. HOWEVER, that DOES NOT give her the right to ABUSE A CHILD. Blatantly ignoring and actively shutting OP out by deliberately speaking in a language he doesn't understand, leaving him out in the cold and the rain for so long! What a disgusting monster she is for everything she has done. She should be ashamed to call herself a mother. Her childish behavior would almost be funny, if it didn't involve her abusing a kid. Next we have the half-siblings. The youngest is still a child, the other a young-adult. I'll go a little bit softer on them simply for that, because this must be a very confusing time for them. However, they are still bullies and should be held accountable for the way they acted. Sadly, they probably never will. And especially the half-brother's actions are just disgusting. 18 is young, but I was 18 fairly recently and I can tell you they know damn well this behavior is wrong. Tearing apart pictures of OP's mother, who passed away only 2 months ago! The malice behind that is scary... I really hope that guy is gonna be in bed one night in a few years, unable to sleep because of the memory of the horrible things he did to OP here. Thank god for people like OP's dad's best friend and his husband. Kindness came from an unexpected place, but it is so so welcome.. I hope OP can be happy in their care and deal with everything that happened to him. Best wishes, OP

Final update: Update Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I made my update post about moving out of my dad’s house and a lot of people have been asking for another update so I figured I would give one last update. Things have been relatively quiet since I moved out. I transferred schools and started therapy a few months ago. J and B have been really kind about giving me space to grieve my mom and I don’t feel like I have to hide all of her stuff anymore. I managed to get a couple of the pictures digitally repaired thanks to someone reaching out to me on here and, while it’s not the same, at least it’s something. Family wise, it’s still hard. After my post blew up, it ended up reaching A, my half sister. She said she had read all the comments and started feeling bad about everything that her mom and brother did. She ended up apologizing for what she had done and understood if I didn’t want to forgive her. We texted for a while about all of it and we’ve been in an okay place since that talk. I still haven’t heard anything from M and S, but I didn’t really expect to either. My dad has come over to J and B’s apartment to see me a few times and we go to lunch about once a month, but other than that, I haven’t really seen him much. J did tell me that about three weeks ago, my dad moved out of the house and got his own apartment. From what it sounds like, he and S aren’t separating yet but he’s giving her space. I tried texting him about it but never got a response. Things are okay now, even though it’s getting close to a year since my mom died, which will probably hard when it happens. Thanks for everyone that messaged me or commented, I’m sorry I didn’t respond to everyone but the response was a little overwhelming.

He’s set up boundaries because he has no intention of continuing the relationship, it’s time to stop bothering him. about story one: can we acknowledge the fact that op was the living proof of op's dad's infidelity? to the family, he was the proof how much the husband/father did have an affair. of course they going to resent op. although it was a shitty situation to be in for op, it was also a shitty situation to be in for step-mom and the step-siblings. it just boggles my mind how nobody in the comments (at least how far we know) tried to come from their side. the root cause for the situation was the father cheating on his wife (about a year before having the second child). i just wanted to point this out. so often this is just overlooked. and then you hear suggestions of "just be nice"...

Honestly It sounds like OP1 would have been better off in a foster home or even a group home. I know the system is not the best in many countries but this is just unbearable for him

I think I'm in a bad place, mentally. Like, if I'd been in OP 1's position, I'd have had a strong impulse to off myself in step-mom's bed. OP shouldn't be the one being blamed for his dad's affair. I absolutely hate when people do that shit

1... OP needs to record the French and have it translated. ESH except OP. (and the family that helped OP move out.) I hope OP can sue for back child support.

Story 1 is how people become sociopaths it would honestly not surprise me that if op had remained in that house with his father half siblings and step mother that one day his father would come home and find the step mother and the half siblings dead and op just slowly cutting up their bodies so I'm glad that op was able to get out of that toxic situation before that could happen
