Stepehen A. has consistently said that EVERY Raptor free agent would leave. He was right only once, with CB4 when he joined LeBron and Wade in Miami. Every other big name free agent the Raptors have had has resigned basically within a day of becoming free agents. All hot takes aside though, winning matters. Familiarity matters. Trust matters. Health matters. And yeah, money matters. Even though the yearly average would be roughly the same in TO or LA, that extra guaranteed year means something to a player that's had health issues. And for those that don't know; taxes are the same in CA as they are in ON, with a couple of loopholes that actually save you some money by playing in Ontario. All that aside, I really do like what the Clippers are becoming.

if kawhi stays, in 2020 free agency, raps have only 10m in salary. factor in kawhi's 35ish that puts them to 45m and still can have 2 max slots not to mention pascal siakam is a rising star. Espn just give it up already. Why would Kawhi go to the clippers... the Raptors have been in the playoffs constantly and have won more than 50 games each time. Only team that has been in the playoffs as often as the Raptors include the spurs, golden state and Portland. Plus he’s in the east, why go to the crowded west just to share the same arena as Lebron. Lastly our youth is good. Pascal gunna be an all star, OG is a nice developing player and Freddie is also the same. Only reason he choices LA is because of family that’s it.
