Same thing happened to me at the end of february, I know your pain. I had a 2008 vw rabbit that I bought at the end of january last year. I put almost every hour of free time I had into that car. Redid the interior, fixed a ton of random crap. I got a short runner intake manifold, catback exhaust, stiffer motor mounts, coil-overs, some Audi wheels, and some cosmetic things. I was my first car, and I fell in love with it, the five cylinder in that car is literally the best sounding motor I have heard, and the N/A induction noises with the short runner manifold were intoxicating. I went to so many meets, kept up with cars that I had absolutely no right to with 210hp and no turbo. It was so much fun. I drove that car every single day. I had plans to put in a built six speed and turbo it, but now that will never happen, all because someone rear ended me. All the time and money that I put into that car, gone. Right when I was at a point where I was content too, I had fixed just about every problem on the car, and gotten all the mods I wanted, then this idiot in an old beat up Sentra rear ends me at a light. It really is making me asking myself if modding cars is worth it, all of this commitment, just to get it taken away because of someone else's incompetence. And now I am left without my car, and like half the money that I put into it. I hope things get better for you and you end up getting something positive out of this whole conundrum. I have loved your channel ever since I found it, when I found out you started out in VB I became an instant fan lol.

I can relate my dude. Last December on my birthday, some lady rear ended my parked SS 1LE Camaro in front of my friends house and totaled it. Felt lost af. The car market right now is so weird and awkward, it takes a lot of soul searching and convincing to figure out what to get if youre not up for another project car. Ended up with something COMPLETELY different with a 8Y RS3 because comfy small 5 cylinder sedan is perfect (dual clutch is admittedly a lot more interesting than I thought it would be, but nothing compared to a manual). Really expensive, but perhaps an EU car could be a neat change of pace? If not, I really think a S650 (perhaps a Dark Horse!) could be right up your alley and feel like an "upgrade" from Sub Zero. Regardless, godspeed dude.

I have been recently watching gingium's short series about turbo charging his honda fit and let me tell you, something about that being somewhat attainable for myself just makes it that more interesting. I think the next car should be something the average car enthusiast doesn't immediately think of but still respects and finds interesting. List: Honda CRV (1st or 2nd gen). Maybe some sort of challenge where you spend the least amount of money to beat some important super car of the 2000's in a drag race, say a lamborghini gallardo. Toyota Camry with the 2gr-fe aka the lotus evora engine. A series on supercharging that puppy would be sick and also I think surprising enough, "super car engine in camry", to get some clicks. Plus they sound sweet. Honda insight (1st gen). How cool would it be to swap in a motorcycle engine in this thing! Sound good and get good mpg. I'm sure there is more cars, but yeah. Again, hope stuff gets better 🙏

I am so sorry this happened to your car, but I am glad that you were not harmed. I have had 2 vehicles totalled at the fault of the other motorists, but I walked away from both unharmed, which I am very thankful for.

Well, I know you like your v8's so I feel obligated to suggest a IS500 or RCF. RR Racing has a good chunk of stuff for the v8 Lexus uses in their F platforms. I'd suggest looking into them if you're thinking a modern japanese v8.

I have watched your past videos on the mk1 audi tt, what about doing a video with another mk1 or the other generations. Maybe even a mk3 ttrs? I have enjoyed watching all your videos and the effort you put into them.

you're taking this better than I would that other driver would be in a chair or coma if I was in your shoes. But I would not get rid of that mustang keep it for spare parts or take a chain wrap it around a tree then around the trunk and get a com along and chain the front and start cranking you could straighten that frame back easily with the right tension and possibly some heat.

I've been rearended by two Nissan Altima's. One in my 2017 Mustang GT. Got a bad concussion. I also got rearended in a Focus loaner from Ford while my previous Mustang was in the shop being worked on. Glad you okay just bruised. Feel better.

Hey David no worries man. We're car guys we get it everything goes wrong all at once over a few month period. I'm in mine right now too. I'm glad Alejandra is okay especially with the back of the mustang like that. Get your videos out and get some stress off you man. Your community will always be here.

My mustang GT hydroplaned a year ago now not for from where this happened - I hit a concrete barrier at 60mph and walked away without a single bruise. Great car and it’s tragic that it happened out of nowhere, but I’m super grateful.

David, take your time to figure it out man. Maybe finish a project or two rather than buying something else. Do what you feel is right, everyone is still going to be around no matter what dude

Your parasitic draw is absolutely the Tesla style radio! Mine did the same thing until I changed the sleep mode settings! Also check the canbus wires and see if they have constant or switches 12v. If constant, chances are background processes are running with the switch off.

Ive followed ya for awhile. Taking a break is sometimes the best thing possible. I thinned my project pile out awhile ago, sold my 1930 Model A Sedan to my friend who was doing the body work. Parted my 84 Mustang out, kept the 438w F1A Procharger motor, holley stuff drivetrain etc Told myself to leave our 94 RCSB OBS alone and just drive and enjoy it Then out of luck an 04 Lightning came up for sale near me and I had to snag it up. Now I just drive and enjoy the couple trucks I got. Life is simpler now. Lol

Seems like a no-brainer to me that you get yourself into an S650 and dump every car that doesn't have a Coyote in it to help finance the build. To me, TDIB is a Mustang channel. Keep up the great work, amigo!

At least the car was what took most of the damage and Alejandra's okay. That's what matters; cars can be replaced, people you love can't. Take all the time you need, brother. The real ones will still be here! As for a new daily, the GR86 or a base S650 Mustang would be sick! I'd love to have either one, lol. I wish I lived closer to you, I'd take that Integra in a heartbeat if I could. It's so good!
