Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. Just an FYI to anyone watching, the first game with Jester that Pipe tried to get him self lynched, instead of putting 1 visiting 2 or something which can be a very obvious EXE tactic, put it as 1 NV, so you frame HIM for the EXE and make it seem like you are a maf protecting your maf buddy, then essentially 1 will push you INCREDIBLY hard, and if 1 is exe, they will rather lynch you than the ese, cuz its not needed, or the jailor will Exe 1, and then he has no exes, which means they HAVE to lynch you. That is the bigger brain play, end FYI....

I had a fun vet game yesterday. I got vet & got pirated night 1, I lost the duel but I didn't die cause of the BG that went on my night 1. Sadly both the Pirate & the BG died to me, the vet, & cause of their wills I was outed as vet. After night 1 not a single killer visited me for the rest of the game, my last 2 alerts did nothing XD. Town managed to win that game all thanks to the 2nd BG, the Amne Crus and the Retri who used the dead Crus.

This is just a variation on the "hard-defend someone who seems evil" and I absolutely love strats like this. From counter-accusing the accuser by claiming something that contradicts their results, to just pushing for an inno really hard when a mafia is on the stand. It requires some scum-reading to make sure the person you're defending really is evil, but it can work incredibly well when you pull it off.

My favorite memory as jester is claiming I was sheriff and saying someone is mafia. But they killed everyone I claimed until the end and it turns out I was right most of the time...

That Jester play could had got so wrong if someone just said "Wait, 13 is Mafioso right? So let's keep RBing 13 so maf can't kill", Then maf would prob kill someone and then you would be "confirm" not maf, maybe yes maybe not, but there was a chance someone could actully believe you be Exe if someone just said "keep RBing mafioso"

@@Average_everything its better to hang a jest than not hang an evil. a surprising amount of evils try to act like an obvious jest, but it never works.

@@popplejam2128 Sometimes it does work. There are some overly cautious lobbies. If you get into one like this and there is no TK, it's possible you'll be left alone. This is not a strat that I'll rely on usually, but sometimes it does work better than it realistically should.

The odds of a sheriff going on a target are 1/14. Hex on a single target is 1/11 in a 4-coven game. The odds of a single sheriff and a hex on the same N1 guy are, if all other things are equal, about 6-out-of-1000. Phrased differently, if you made this misplay 167 times, you'd have been right once.

I just did the funniest Vet bait. Day 1 I wrote "Hey guys, I'm new. It says my role is doctor who do I heal?" Then day 2 the first thing I whisper to the jailor is "n1: alert" and everyone clapped

The chance of a framer and a sheriff hitting the same person on n1 is the same as any other random double pick, 1/14. If you try to look at it as '1 in 14 to pick this number as sheriff, and 1 in 14 to pick this number as framer, so 1/14 times 1/14' you'd get incorrect odds, because regardless one of the 14 is picked when the second one chooses. It's still low odds overall, but if a sheriff claims sus on n1 it's then only a 1/14, discounting a straight up lie, that the person was framed.

Re: the whole "if sheriff finds someone sus on N1 and that person claims framed" thing... Let's assume 3 Mafia members. The likelihood of both Sheriff and Mafia choosing the same target is (1 / [numTown-numMafia]) * (1/[numTown-1]) Or (1/12) * (1/14) = 0.00595 * 100 = 0.595 So literally less than a 0.6% chance of it happening.

It has low odds to frame the person the sheriff checks but it can happen. I had a transporter that was acting weird (I didn't know what role he was) so I decided to frame him. The sheriff had the same thought and checked him. The town hung the sheriff instead but because of that the jailer exe the transporter. It was great I got the sheriff hung, the transporter exe and the jailer lost the ability to exe any one else.

GA (Guardian Angel) protected them Night 1. A target who has the GA watch over them gains powerful (I think) defense, has poison and doused cleansed, and cannot be voted the next day. Basically, for one night and one day, they can't be killed by almost anything. At least. I think that's it. I believe jester can get through it but I can't really remember. But yeah, it's cuz they had a GA.

I had a day 2 win today. Coven All Any. Poisoner died to vet, Mafioso was found N1 by Sheriff and left when put on stand. We then proceeded to vfr, hung the jester claiming surv, and.. TOWN WINS. That was a 13 player win game...
