If you stand on the other side of the chest supported row you can spot your partner with the two blocks. Always neutral grip for me.
@JAREDFEATHERRPКүн бұрын
If you have to spot on a chest supported row I'm unsure you're training that well. Forced reps, sure.. if you're adding that intensity technique in then hell yeah, but....
@Db43343Күн бұрын
@ yeh it wasn’t a dig, I respect your training style for sure. I was just saying your gym partner can help you along with those last couple of forced reps if needed on the prime extreme row. I see a lot of gym partners standing in the wrong spot. If they stand on the other side of the machine they are there just in case it’s needed.
@JAREDFEATHERRPКүн бұрын
@Db43343 "standing in the wrong spot" based on you think they should stand there for forced reps?.... but I appreciate that. No argument just somewhat disagree with that.

@@BodybuildingwithAaron2.0 Thinking more about the chest (to be more specific), I do JM Skullcrushers for the triceps. Thanks for responding :) Would a regular dumbbell press (flat) cover it? Already doing the incline one for upper chest.

The explanation you gave for using the T bar for Lat Pulldowns makes too much sense. Gonna start feeling that out. Side note, would love to see the exercise "card" snapshot from the RP app for each exercise you guys are doing... I've seen it in a couple videos, but its never consistent.

On the note of "what would you like to see", I kinda wonder if you guys do anything specific for core, and wrt conditioning.
@unnamedchannel25692 күн бұрын
For classic physique, I don't think there's much of a need to train your core. Training a muscle makes it bigger, and they want small waists.

Hey Jared and Mario, would it be possible to add total time in the gym at the end of the session? I know the video is 30ish minutes, but for the newbies it would be nice to see how much time a pro is actually spending in the gym per session. Good work!

@reinaert.c62532 күн бұрын
Hey Jared, I like to know why you do 3 RIR in the biginning of your mesosycle and get closer to 0RIR as time goes on. Why dont you do every set to 0 or -1 RIR because research shows that thats best for muscle growth. Love your content and your training style.
@WoTMike19892 күн бұрын
The theory is it allows you to train progressively harder as you make it deeper into the meso. Conserve fatigue. Personally I do 2 RIR to 0 throughout a meso with most spent at 1 outside the first (2) and last (0) weeks.
@MostafaHosseini-yj9tx2 күн бұрын
Research does not show 0 or -1 RIR is best for muscle growth. It says near failure not absolute failure. Second point, 0 RIR training is extremely fatiguing so it's not feasible to do all sets to failure from the beginning.
@Astamor2 күн бұрын
This entire system of training with 3RIR on week 1, then 2RIR on week 2 etc is for managing your overall fatigue. When you first start lifting you can afford going to failure every single workout because you don't lift that much weight so you are able to recover but as the time goes by you get stronger and stronger lifting more and more weight therefore generating more overall fatigue and at some point you will hit the wall and you won't be able to progress from week to week anymore. In fact you might actually start regressing. The problem is that if you are staying in this no-progress phase you are building almost zero muscle. A lot of people hit that wall around 2nd year of lifting and they stop growing and therefore saying that you build 90% of your physique in the first two years of lifting which is just a myth. Science shows time and time again that 3RIR is close enough to failure to still build muscle very effectively. So you are not really losing any gains and on top of that you are not accumulating absurd amounts of systemic fatigue. Since I started using this method it's like I've experienced newbie gains again. It really unlocks new chapter of your lifting journey.

Don't always rely on research it has its own flaws. Train what feels good for you.
@WoTMike19892 күн бұрын
@ this. But also accept that the what feels good to you method has some blind spots once you get past a particular session. Try things out for decent blocks of time

I intuitively loaded prime correctly :) Is it required to arch at the top? And does the grip mater on that prime machine? I usually do neutral
@SPRVLN272 күн бұрын
The arch is if you want to train the shortened contraction. The arch is just to put you in a better mechanical position to contract. As far as grip, on back training, it's more so the path of the elbow that will slightly alter where the tension goes.
