Hello... I'm trying to schedule an appointment for the ottawa locatu9n. I'm quite confused on where exactly on the website i schedule. There's the one that comes up on the payment slip... and there's a scheduling section on the actual website . Don't know which I should go it. The scheduling link off the payment confirmation slip shows so many available slot... I booked that and was able to print that....but never rceived an email confimration. But the one on the website has few slots available...I tried that as well for a different day as the date I want isn't available on that page. ..but no way to print the confirmation. ..more like none. The only thing that gets sent is an email confirmation. Don't know if that's what they're asking to be printed out. I'm so so confused really don't know which to go with

Hey! I’m not sure about now but I think the scheduling section on the website is more accurate. That’s the option I used and I received an email confirmation immediately.

Hi!! I’m not sure of the current requirements as it’s been about 2years since I renewed my passport. The money order should be done before your appointment date. I think you’d need two express envelopes as well - one to drop off your old passport in and the second one is what they’ll send your new passport in I believe. You can ask to confirm when you get to Canada post but it should have ‘xpress post’ written on it - you can purchase two for that

You can go to the website and select passport renewal (not sure if they’ve changed anything tho) I saw a button to begin application and I think that’s how I got to the forms - you may need to create an account too.

Hey! It was $50 CAD. At the time I did mine, I did not have to pay for any letter of certificate of passport so you may need to clarify from them because I am not sure about that. Thanks for watching!

I'll be travelling to renew my passport in July and hearing you needed to leave the old passport scares the crap out of me! Did they return the old passport with your new one? I'll need to fly back with my passport. Why tf can't we just mail in our applications with current passport photographs of ourselves? 😫 Nigeria makes things hard for its citizens even in other countries. I honestly hate Nigeria atm 💔

I know right! Yes, they sent my old passport back with the new one. However, I remember some other people had to travel back with their old passport so that option was available and you’d need to send it back to them once you get to your city 😩before they can start processing the new one and then send both back to you.

No worries! You need to go to your bank and ask for a $50 money order providing them the Nigerian high commission details which should be on their website. They will give you the money which is similar to a check and you’d take it along for the appointment.

Hi Ebun, thank you for this video. Please apart from the 50CAD money order, are there extra charges? After filling the form, I got a total bill of 106CAD. I am confused seeing the charges.

Hey! I’m not sure there are any other extra charges, except probably if you’d want same day service. I believe the $106 CAD is the application fee to be paid after filling the form and $50 CAD is more like service fee - that’s my understanding.
