I swear you must be reading my mind. Because every single time I think about searching something in skincare, I get a notification that you just posted a video about that topic. I’ve had dry skin forever but ever since I stopped taking birth control pills I noticed an increase in oiliness, blackheads and enlarged pores but hadn’t really learned how to deal with them yet. So thank you

I appreciated the extracting segment! if I ever have to extract I avoid going in with my nails. Great advice to extract with cotton ♡ and to stop if it isn't coming out! I've started to use cotton swabs lately and it's a game changer. I take one double-ended cotton swab, cut it in half, and use the two ends to gently extract if needed. SO much less damage to the skin yay (physical; possibly bacterial due to contact with nails). Lovely video!~

I love watching your videos bec I also have oily skin and enlarged pores. I’m actually using almost the same products as you but different brands. My fave toner is the I’m Free Rice Toner. It’s so moisturizing and brightens my skin. I layer it 2-3 times and I use Retinol Cica by Innisfree which is a holy grail for me. To those who might be interested, you can clean out your pores by using an oil cleanser first. I really work the oil in the nose and cheeks area, emulsify with a little water, work it in some more. Do this for 2-3 minutes, rinse, then use a water-based cleanser. Toner + retinol or salicylic acid + moisturizer, my pores are still clean and small the next day.

Pore tip from me: in regards to acne and oil production niacinamide has been a lifesaver. I have normal skin but my t zone at one point was just super oily and I noticed acne would form only there compared to anywhere else. Got a niacinamide serum and that’s no longer the case.

Thanks for your recs and tips! I recommend the Mary & May blackhead nose pack~ they “loosen” up the gunk in your nose and provide qtips to remove them. Ofc it doesn’t clear them 100%, but it’s a “safer” method than just squeezing them with toilet paper lol. Anyways, I’ve been going through a bad cold and I’m breaking out like crazy 😭 I guess my body can’t do multiple things at once haha

Is this your retinol routine? Night time: Reedle shot 100 + Some By MI Retinol + cocokind Retinol + moisturizer? or are both the retinols used on different days?
@uza55385 ай бұрын
wow, there's so many hype about reedshot.. was wondering if it really works. Little scare to use but the transformation is amazing, especially during the summer pores seem to size up.. lol will try samll amount of VT's reedleshot on my nose!

Quick product question: Between the Som By Mi or Cocokind retinols, which has a lighter texture and feels less greasy? Oily skin in South East Asian humidity makes most retinols feel too creamy and heavy. Thanks❤
@ym03094 ай бұрын
Hey! I have oily skin and live in SEA too so I know the struggle 🥴 I use Retinol Cica by Innisfree and it’s just been amazing so far. It doesn’t feel too heavy and I can totally feel my skin is smoother the next day. I’m on my 2nd bottle and I don’t know if I’ll every try another brand next time bec I love it so much, but I probably will try the Some by Mi next just to make sure my skin doesn’t get too used to the Innisfree and develop some kind of immunity to it.

I prefer the Geek & Gorgeous Retinal and Differin Gel instead but I appreciate all your recs. I use Retinal 2-3 nights after my beloved Mugwort toner (I’m From) and moisturizer (either LRP Cicaplast Balm which you recommend in your videos before or Purito Dermide Barrier Relief Moisturizer). Saved my poor, dehydrated skin from acne zysts and perioral dermatitis. 🥹 Absolutely essential for me. I also love your content that deals with stress reduction and eating habits as natural remedies. Those get overlooked too often. Perhaps you could make another video with meditation instructions and Asian medicine? I’ve learned a lot from this channel but those things are not well known in my country and I’d appreciate more insight .

I've been on tretinoin and have been using salicylic acid serum for half a year now, and I still have dark sebascious filaments on my nose :( and im thinking maybe I need to use a cleanser before hand to break down buildup for my products to work. where I live cleansers are extremely expensive, is there an alternative or home made alternative for a cleanser blackheads and buildup, esp on the nose? I'd take any help I can get because soap is so irritating on my face and idk what else I can use

@siliconeyes5 ай бұрын
I think with blackhead and acne it'd be better to do research on ingredients that help with your skin concerns. Then you can proceed to find products that contain those ingredients. Some ingredients that I know will be able to help are niacinamide, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, zinc, and green tea. I'm sure there's a lot more out there, but really important to remember that it's trial and error process because some ingredients might work for you and some might not.
