$1800 and no broker's fee is a great deal for such a cute and efficient place! I hope you and your bf do as well in the search for a one bedroom! Nothing can replace the charm of a fireplace for me. They're just magical. I once had a studio with a working fireplace...that was decades ago...and I still miss it! Lesson learned, if I ever move again, it will be a requirement. I LOVE your taste btw. So classic and beautiful. That dresser and the William Morris print are *chef's kiss*! 🙂

Great video & unbelievable space. I cannot imagine how you can walk away from such an incredible place at a great price on the UES. So many young NY apt dwellers on YT seem to move every year. Such a huge undertaking and unnecessary expense. But to each his own. I would live here forever.

ok I love love ur studio apartment! I think it's so refreshing seeing apartments THAT aren't carbon copies of others on KZbin with the SAME couch from west elm, SAME carpet, SAME art, SAME fig leaf , monstera or olive tree, SAME lamp, SAME bed / bedding! I'm 54 and a homeowner now but I love to watch these videos because it reminds me of when I was starting out with my own apartment which was a huge one bedroom on west end Ave that I ONLY paid $568/ month for! My best girlfriend had a FOUR bedroom in the meatpacking district for $465/ month! full of roaches!! oh wow those were the days! BTW that was in the 80's!

I love how you made use of the small space and still made it look like you had a lot of room. I also love the classic nature of your furnishings, it works very well with the brick . Not too cold and modern. You have a really good taste.

Cute space! As a native New Yorker, it always puzzles me as to why newcomers don't think to put fire approved safety gates on their fire escape window. Those windows have proved easy access for burglars.

I love your dresser and mirror. I use old dressers for a lot of things. Two for clothes, one under the TV and holds movies and games, one next to my bed, one in the kitchen for pots amd pans, foil, kitchen towels, etc, and another in my bathroom for everything I need there. 😁

@@amandasimich8280 StreetEasy is the best! When I was looking, I looked for keywords in the apt listing like, "well maintained building" or "clean building with reliable Super". Make sure to have have all your paper work ready (pay stubs, ID, tax returns, etc.) before searching for apartments.

How do you find apartments in NYC? like what websites do you search through?
@EmmaGoodwin2 жыл бұрын
Street Easy is the best! Make sure to have your paper work ready (pay stubs, tax returns, photo ID, etc) before viewing apartments since they tend to go off market quickly! Lastly, ensure that the landlord and Super are maintaining the building well. Best of luck! :)
