we started putting our pet squirrel outside in the trees when he was 12-14 weeks old, and now he lives in the backyard (he has built several leaf nests) but he comes down to eat and play with us several times a day. I put up a video called Chip goes crazy. You would get a big laugh out of it.

never touch her tail or tail hair. Baby squirrel tail is very fragile. they can loose it and it does not grow back which would be sad.
