As a young teen whose *actually* been kicked out of their house (for getting a backbone, and not taking the abuse anymore, and for being trans) this sets me off. And as a biased as you could possibly be on the subject, I do think teens can make good decisions, it just depends on their overall maturity. Great video as always! Edit: okay so I’m surprised that this comment got as much attention as it did. Update: CPS forced me to move back in and I had several mental health crisis over the years (at the time of this edit I’m 17, at the time of the original comment I was 13/14), attempted to take my own life yada yada. I’m doing better now, got a lot of things in order, and I’m setting myself up to study in Europe (originally from the Southern US). I’ve published a short story, I’m working on a novel, and things are looking up for me because I’m making it so. Gender is complicated and I’m not sure where I sit with it now, but that’s neither here nor there-I’ve realized I’m more than a label, which at the time of the original comment, was not something I fully understood. I don’t regret the decisions I’ve made in the past, but I have no intention of repeating them. Thank you for all the kind comments 💛

xxxDarkWingsxxx My parents are very toxic about their religion, along with the fact that they didn’t want any “sin” penetrating their lives (and thought that I would be happiest living the heterosexual, cis life, that I’m simply not apart of. Anything different to them is mortifying)They were discussing forcing me into a conversion camp. Thankfully I was able to contact my older siblings (who are older by at least 10 years), that have some really good friends that are willing to take me in temporarily while I find permanent residence. I’m currently living in limbo, as CPS has yet to be involved, soon will be once things can be altered to where the best outcome can occur (not living with the parental unit). So while technically I wasn’t “kicked out”, the situation was (and kinda still is) dangerous for my mental health. The parents also don’t think mental health is a thing, thinking that God “doesn’t make mistakes, and this is all your decision. So, fix it on your own, or be fixed.” Bigotry trumping help.

Shit that story was WAY more intense than I thought it was gonna be, I thought it would be a pretty lighthearted story about a bad roommate who was too loud and didn't pay rent on time or something, but nope this story is some raw af drama. It really makes me wonder what this guy's parent's are like, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't any better than he was... It's pretty sad to think that Kanji's parents never tried looking for him, they must have not cared that he left to live with you guys. The least I can hope for is that Kanji doesn't hurt anybody too bad in the future, though it sounds like he'll never change... Also hope you and Cody have a great wedding!

Rare? X'D..... what godly paradise do you live from. This is my daily life. I don't expect a thank you or anything but i do expect respect and tolerance. We pamered one dude and he went and stole 3 cellphones, losing impossible to get bback precious photo/video/text etc memories. - like 20+ video games and sold them to game stop. (we got most back but i still see games missing _--'..) and like 80$ from my dad's dressor/wallet (not sure where). Another punched a hole in the wall and abused my sister and cheated on her and fought with our entire family, verbally "attacked" me outta butt nowhere when i don't even know/talk to the guy, speaking like he's lived with and tolerated me for years and is "Fed up" with my so called "behavior" when i literally wasnt doing shit but working online and taking care of my dog, eating sleeping etc. that's it. I never spoke with anyone to do anything. aside asking my "dad" not to touch me cuz he's creepy and annoying and im self possessive. no touchey! P:... which is my right cuz it is my body lmao. we've had them yell in my dads face threaten to kill us all and our pets. have tried abusing our pets. threatening to burry our cats in OUR yard and use our lawn mower to off their "fucking heads" if they get under his feet, all this shit. property damage. threats. real attacks etc. Its so fucking common it isnt funny. I dont trust no one. I hate my sisters kept letting strangers in our home. I live here too. --_ dumb naive careless women... When i get my own place NO ONE is coming there when we aren't and aren't allowed to stay unless we KNOW know them. If i don't feel comfortable with them NOPE idc. get out. My house. lol

@@AlphaTengua If you want my two cents, putting up walls to every person you meet is also an unhealthy way to live, trust me, I’ve been there and it gets really tiring and lonely. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can overly trust strangers, or ignore that bad gut feeling, but assuming that everyone you talk to is an asshole is unrealistic as well. I’ve known people who almost burn down my whole house, luckily only my kitchen was destroyed and that my family was safe. This same person also stolen from my brothers and send one of them to jail, only for 2 years but having that in a record is extremely damaging, and we’ve known this person for almost 10 years. I’ve also had an old high school friend’s mom spread rumors, saying that I was part of a human trafficking and that I was selling young girls on Facebook. I’ve been into knight fights with family members. I’ve also had a friend that I’ve known for 10 years; tells me that they never trusted me. I’ve helped her with money problems, mental health problems, and listen to her when no one else would, and she didn’t trust me, and that one really hurt me. I’ve also met amazing people who were patient enough and help me emotionally, mentally, financially, and physically, and no, they didn’t care if I pay them back, or expected any favors. Yes, I get into fights with my friends but that’s because we have different opinions but we still love each other and respect one another. You’re going to meet awful people; you’re also going to meet wonderful people. Life is honestly too short to be on edge 24/7 and to constantly test anyone who wants to talk to you. Don't let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Btw, I'm 25, going to be 26, I've gotten my fair share of shitty people as well. Early 90s babies need to learn from each other experience.

You know, I've met a handful of people who were a lot like this, all at different times in my life, and I remember being super annoyed with each and eventually kind of ended up telling them off. But not just out of the blue, it would be after they have said or done something rude usually to someone else I knew.... They would either throw a fit or start crying, but HEY at least they stopped talking to me. :D But it never stopped them from being the way they were. They would stop for a short moment, but then I would hear it from someone else that they would start back up with their crap again. CONGRATULATIONS, ON YOUR WEDDING, BY THE WAY!! Once the red flags are shoved in your face by someone like that it becomes a hell of a lot easier to see them in the future! A lot of different parts of the story remind me of shit my ex did after he turned 18 and was actually kicked out. To be clear we'd known he'd be kicked out for years and his mom swapped apartments on his birthday so he couldn't come back. Immediately after he got kicked out a neighbor took him in so long as he wasn't there when she was out at work and such, she even had a bunch of his stuff stored after he stopped living with her. That went fine far as I know. After being homeless for months on end and getting assistance with funds from family for food he was taken in by a friends family and they tried to help him get a GED and a job. Here's where it gets bad Every now and then he'd bring me little gifts and say stuff like "my friends little brother doesn't play with these anymore, it's been under the couch for months. You should play with it" before handing me DS games, or "don't tell them you still have this tail, I told him it fell apart" and so on This went on the entire time he lived with them where he'd just give me their stuff and say they didn't even remember they had it Eventually he moved out and far away and I've given back a lot of the stuff without context because they care about him like family and I don't want to ruin that for them

This...is pretty similar to a story I have about someone who I used to be really close with who I no longer talk to cause she turned out to be very toxic and manipulative.It was pretty much the same with her coming from a broken home and her aunt was also apparently abusive (it was smth she made up for sympathy)but she lived with us for a while and we were the only reason she graduated from high school and get therapy for her bipolar disorder.Keep in mind she tried using her disorder to justify the way she was treating me but I didn't realize it at the time.She was possessive and when we made her move out she wanted to still be my friend and I went along with it because I didn't completely realize what kind of person she is and I finally cut her out of my life when she would exclude me from doing things with her and post it everywhere so I would see it and then act like she "forgot"to invite me/"tried to get me to go but there wasn't room in the car".

My collage is over an hour and fifteen/twenty minutes away from were I live and sometimes I have seminars at 8 in the morning so I got to wake up at 6,even more early in winter when the traffic is and the tram lines are frozen.Thank God half my road is with the subway. I've been doing this for 3 years now. In these tree years I think my father gave me 5/6 rides there at most. And that guy,could not be bothered to take a fucking buss that would take him to school in less than 15 minutes?That alone would had been enough for a reason to tell him to get the hell out. The law views you as an adult for a reason. No one says you got to be wise and fully independent the second you turn 18.But you better start taking some responsibility and become self sufficient in any way you can. Would had strait up called the police after he decided to lock all the doors especially since your grandma was in there too and you could consider this almost a hostage situation. I think he was not kicked out,I just think his parents were sick of his attitude and cut all his privileges so he ran away and played the victim card.

Interesting fact, apparently kicking a child out of the house when they're 18 or graduate high school is still seemingly somewhat common among people living in the Southern states, the reason being that they're supposed to be able to take care of themselves at that age.
