Always keep items on a crossbody purse. Diaper bags and baby items can be easily replaced. But wallets, ID’s etc is much harder!

Mary I really am sorry. I am 76 and I learned in my late 20s to be aware of where I'm going and what I need to get there and back. .My mother had open heart at 50 from a just found birth defect. When she got out of ICU I took what I needed for several days. I knew I would not leave her. Back then open heart was not an easy journey. The day she was awake a while and as she slept early evening the nurse told me to go down have coffee and feel better. I did only gone less than 20 min and returned to moms room being robbed. I had no purse anymore. Had to act normal so my mom didnt know. I never took pictures of my daughter and her friends anymore even to this day. I took a small purse with just the cash I needed. Well I changed drastically. I had no money no I'd no nothing. Back then it was cash or checks. Now I hold on to my purse as if I was carrying the hope diamond. I have no little ones so a lady at grocery taught me how to strap my purse in the baby seat. If someone grabs my purse to run it acts like a boomerang dragging them back to the buggy. I have noticed quiet a few ladies in Phoneix leaving their purse open in a buggy and walk inking around getting items. If they knew the feeling I had for so long and even now .people we now have cards easy to use beware of what you need and dont trust anyone to be honest when they are broke.

I used to do that with my purse, but I never had anything of value in it. Just brush/comb wipes, and sometimes a fake phone. I actually used it as a decoy. If they were going to rob me, I wanted them to take the purse, and leave me alone.

This happened to me a few months ago . Within 15 minutes they had charged a couple thousand dollars on my card and had just taken 200.00 cash out. Replacing my license ,cards etc.Such a hassle . I am now super aware. Cross body purse from this point on.

Sorry that your backpack was stolen. Couldn't the police go to where it was pinging? Hopefully by now you guys have little sweetie home with you. Mary, will you be able to do all the motherly things like nursing the baby, like you did Elijah? I'm so excited for this little Angel to have you two as foster parents. It might not be something you'd consider, but I've been using my credit cards on my phone with Apple Wallet and as long as a vendor has tap to pay, it works great. Now if there were just a way to put my driver's license in my phone... I looked it up, but it's only legal for TSA currently (at least in my state).

I'm sorry some one stole your bag 😢. Some one got my debit card number and charged a bunch of stuff. My bank caught this suspicious activity. My $210 will be but back into my account. On a happier note babie is coming home how exciting for you God bless.

Im also sorry to hear that this theft happened to you. Especiality important papers like your drivers license car registerations insurance policies losing those can be a nightmare of sorts. When you leave the house make sure that all doors are locked and leave a security light on At night that way you can tell somebody is home.. Also when you leave The car make sure to lock all doors and dont leave any important items In the car like personal valueables behind either.. I know car break ins have also been happening and folks stealing cars as well happening . Another thing is too put your wallets in front pockets of your pants that way you know where it is.. Today's episode is being released on JUNE 16th which is Fathers day weekend for many . in addition Happy Fathers day to peter and rest of the family . AND PEACE!!

That was great you called the police and filed a report but When you both the next morning realized your air pods were in the bag and location given of them you should have IMMEDIATELY called the police back and told them you realized that your air pods were in bag and there location of them. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota have a team called the CAT TEAM(Car Jacking Auto Theft Team) though you DID NOT GET YOUR CAR STOLEN At Gun Point and Thank God for that. They have been able to track a cars location by following the find my iPhone or IPad or in your case Ear pods and have successfully taken suspects in custody. In your case They could’ve tracked the location of the ear pods and been possibly able to take them into custody as well as recovery your bag.

My brother was held at gunpoint years ago when he was a student at Duke. He’d been coming home from work at night and was on the phone with my mom when the man approached his car. She heard him ask for the time and the phone disconnected. Those were some agonizingly tense moments with my mom knowing something was wrong but being hundreds of miles away unable to anything. Thankfully the man pointed his gun at him, demanded his wallet, and as soon as my brother willingly complied, he took it and left. An officer called my mom back from his phone about ten minutes later and immediately said, “First, your son is fine, just shook up. My name is Officer *name* and I didn’t say that part first because I didn’t want to scare you...” Lesson he would tell you to this day that he learned from that; never arrive at at a destination with no one else around, especially late at night, and sit in your car for anything. I’m definitely glad it was “just” your bag,even though that still sucks 😩. And for those wondering what happens to your subscriptions when your credit card is stolen/compromised - most credit card companies issue you a new number and card but still allow those known, recurring payments to go through on the account to the new number.

You can turn your credit cards on and off on the app. I dropped my bank debit card in the grocery store and realized it in the checkout line. I turned it off and went looking for it. Luckily, someone turned it in, and I was able to turn it right back on....

I hope the birth parents of the little one find help and peace before the child turns 18 so if this little angel who is the foster child doesn't get disappointed if they want to know them and if they don't at least the child will have a loving brother and mom dad and pets to grow up with my heart goes out to the little angel having to stay in the hospital having to be with foster family most of foster kids that have a start like that ends up getting adopted to the foster family thank God but as someone who was adopted and hearing they didn't want me because they thought I wasn't theirs and didn't want to take care of a kid that want theirs and hearing from my siblings that they didn't do stuff right that they had to stay with grandparents is so hard on a kid let alone when an adult finding out this that you wish parents like that learn to do better to make their kid proud later on like honestly I rather of heard they couldn't afford me or was to young but finding out that they was selfish is so bad I said this not all parents should be parents and not all people who can't have kids shouldn't either I was adopted because my adopted mom and dad couldn't have kids we now think because of her having cancer and not knowing till I was 3 years old is the reason but she was the best for me I just wish these birth parents do better in the long run even if they don't get the angel back that angel will want to know why and it a better story to hear when older hey mommy couldn't take care of you but she try so hard to be better so when she can meet you again older she can tell you you being place in foster care because of my actions was a wake up call and I vow to do better since to prove you ment more to me then anything else I know this is not always the case with bio parents who kid go in foster care but it be nice to see something good come out of this baby in a few was for the baby's sake for birth parents sake and for Peter and Mary even if they adopt this child I hope they can and I hope they can pray for the bio parents to change for the better like if anything good comes out of this situation bio parents will get help they need Mary and Peter will guide them and sweet little baby has two loving set of parents at the end I pray for all involved in this situation and sending lots of love to the little sweet angel may they have kindness love and compassion in their heart

I know that you have a lot on your plate right now! Sorry, you lost your diaper bag but blessed you are both safe. You should not withhold any information from the police. If you have an address, you should provide it to law enforcement. You're not helping the next victim. This has nothing to do with whether or not you're blessed right now. It has everything to do to keep it from happening again to someone else.

With inflation surging people are really struggling just to buy food. Crime is skyrocketing in my area and I think it's because of the cost living crisis. I really keep my head on a swivel these days. I never used to have to be that way. about a year ago, my sisters laptop was stolen out her truck. She searched it and had an address, the police knocked on the door to ask if they had the laptop and the people said no. And the policeman said they couldn’t do anything about it they couldn’t go in. and that was that. Now that was a bummer because my sister hadn’t even had the laptop very long and it was very expensive.

and another time my brand new iphone was left on the clerk counter at a grocery store. I got in my car realized i left it. The cashier told me the woman who was behind me took it. I drove home and my then boyfriend and I searched where it was at and it was 2 blocks away from us. He banged on the door, walked right in and demanded the phone. I begged him not to because that’s dangerous he didn’t listen. anyway he got the phone back. that ex was crazy because I said let it go it’s not worth it.

I've always thought that "them" can also be used as a more generic form of "his" or "her" when you don't know a person's sex or if you don't want to say. They have always referred to "the little sweety" or "the little baby" so I assume there's just one, though two would be fun too 😊.

I’m going to respectfully disagree. I’m the one who works my butt off for what I have. Nobody, I don’t care what their situation is, has the right to what they didn’t earn. It’s one thing if they tell me they’re hungry or thirsty and don’t have the money to get what they need. I’ll gladly buy someone some food. I’ve bought people clothes that needed it. But when you go and just take something that belongs to someone else, all bets are off.

You need to give the police ALL the information you have. You have no idea how many times they've done that, or how it may escalate to someone getting hurt the next time. It doesn't matter? Sure, the bag doesn't matter. There's more to consider here than a bag, and you need to think about THAT. I realize you have a lot going on but this is just stupid. If you didn't report the address at which the ipods pinged you're enabling a criminal and I'm sorry but I feel as if that's an irresponsible way to respond to a crime. The next time the person that stole your backpack steals from someone else they might steal something that impacts the victim much more than you were impacted. You should behind about the impact on others and not just yourselves. What if the next actions of the thief impact someone not as blessed as you and Peter. There's a difference between Turn the other cheek and Turning one's back. People's unwillingness to become involved is one reason crime continues to occur. I obviously think you made a poor decision but am sure a lot of people would've done the same which is actually rather sad. The gas station probably has the thief on surveillance camera, you had an address if anyone wanted to catch a thief they could but the police don't care much about small crime. The thief will have to escalate to murder before the police might care.

My son and daughter-in-law arrived home from work to find their front door kicked in. The house was tossed, with jewelry, small electronics, and money stolen. The next day, the stolen iPad ‘pinged’, a message to his phone, as someone was trying to use it. They’d already filed a police report the previous night, so my son called the police to report the active ‘ping’, coming from an address nearly 13 miles from their house. The police met him about a mile from the ‘ping’ location, he handed them his phone, which they used to close in on the ‘ping’ location. It turns out it was the address of the mother of a known criminal, with active warrants against him. She denied he was there, despite the phone continually pinging. The active warrants gave them cause to search the small cottage behind her house. As they approached the front door, the pinging stopped. He tried to escape through the back door. They arrested the guy, and one of the officers returned the cell phone to my son. The iPad had been destroyed. They thanked my son for not playing the ‘vigilante’ and trying to retrieve the iPad himself, as this guy was a very, very bad person, whom they arrested as a suspect in a brutal murder. He wouldn’t have hesitated to hurt someone looking for a mere iPad.

Thieves 😠Why MUST people do stuff like that?! Well, Peter's a pastor. Maybe his prayer for the thief will get the thief to repent and come to Christ. I remember, once, the Sunday school superintendent at the church I grew up in (and became a Sunday school teacher at) said that someone had stolen Bibles from another Church (this was 20 years ago), and I said "They needed them."

Why are you not at the hospital 24/7 bonding with the baby? If you were given that opportunity and didn't take it, it would be a sad thing. It's one of the difficult parts of fostering/adoption that add a whole other layer of problems for the infant. Attachment disorder is a very difficult thing for a child. And if you could have avoided it, it could have made a world of difference??

Have you thought about the impact Mary and Peter are making on this sweet baby? This child is entering a safe and loving home. This child will be taken care of, prayed over and shown endless amounts of affection and grace. This child is BLESSED to be loved by them.
