I include value-added services such as free aeration to existing accounts, irrigation maintenance and repair (10 yrs commercial irrigation experience), supplemental fertilizing that the pest control companies can't provide, top dressing lawns as needed, and some other services not just confined to mowing yards. I'm not worried about competition, there's always someone who will work cheaper but not better, but they can't duplicate my quality and willingness to go the extra yard for customers.

Everything these guys said was great very and helpful. The only one thing I would like to speak on is route density. I started my business about 8 month I now have about 45 clients. It's very difficult to move up quickly picking and choosing to avoid hug gaps between clients. I actually started accepting everyone who needed service. Yes I was wasting gas But after I accumulated all the client I could manage I slowly cancelled ones that were to far apart. I would like to learn how to send estimates for commercial property if you have any suggestions?

And i only clicked on this video to see how he might bash blades of grass as i follow both and respect both i wanted to see what he may have to say about him, glad he can commend others and not sit and point out flaws. everything doesn't have to turn to black vs. white which is where you tried to take that? he is straight commending this man and probably got blades of grass even more followers. I'm sure subscribers who were not subscribed to blades of grass before and saw this video went to go subscribe, but you want to try and make it a negative application. KEEP IT UP MIKE

We have had success doing heavy price increases over 2 years, but communicated it right away: "Mrs Jones, we are going to a $60 minimum, but you've been a nice client and always pay right away and are great to work with so we are going to do it this year for $50." That way she's prepared, she will likely not complain/be difficult and everyone is on the same page for the future.

When i first started my landscape company the best and cheapest way to advertise was business cards instead of flyers people throw flyers away cards people keep i would put on card save this card and advertise simple i would be at walmart home depot put cards out then i would also put my cards in zip lock bags with my card and a few rocks for weight drive around where i wanted to advertise and throw them out usually try to drop them by mail boxes so they see the bag instead of trying drive fast then when u throw them they land in a bush under a car on a driveway i usually would get about 5-10 jobs out of 1000 cards ..if you design cards yourself staples offers 1000 cards for 20 bucks A penny a card dollar store has baggies cheap advertising but if i got 5 people for 1000 cards completly worth it you get neighbors family friend recommendations if you do a good job price fairly and not try to make a million dollars a day
