His ego was more in the fact that he had much more street fighting experience (which we both know a fight outside a pub and a fight in a boxing ring are entirely different) than Thor. I think there was just a bit of a misinterpretation regarding the tattoo (language barrier maybe). Eddie said he’ll get the tattoo. He was just making a comment saying that there was nothing in writing for it, however if he DIDN’T get it you probably wouldn’t offer him a rematch. So he knows he needs to get the tattoo either way, whether he wants to or not

The problem is that they already have a verbal contract for the tattoo. It’s true that it wasn’t specific regarding size, location, etc., but they did verbally agree to the tattoo. So, they can add the tattoo into a rematch contract if they want, but Eddie should just keep his word on their original verbal contract.

I think Eddie is trying to hold the tattoo as leverage for a rematch, that way he doesn't get the tattoo and no guaranteed rematch. I don't agree with that though ofc, don't accept a bet you won't live up too

I knew from the very beginning that Thor was clearly more focused and dedicated because he lost the weight, has had boxing matches, and continuously worked on his technique while Eddie stayed fat and only threw haymakers 🤣 imagine being so obsessed with Eddie and still thinking he's going to win even after he showed no improvement in every one of his training vids. I must admit, I'm one of the people who thought you were slow, but the fight with Eddie proved that isn't the case at all. Methodical foot movement doesn't mean you're slow. It means you're purposeful and conserving energy unless you need to deviate from that. Your hand speed actually looked impressively fast and accurate.

Awesome response from both of you and you are absolutely correct, there are only a handful of people that could push either of you to those lengths. Your average person would not be able to stomach a punch from a 300lb man who has that kind of strength. It was a fight and there was animosity, but through that you all gave each other a gift that no one else could have given you. Having been in fights myself, there is something gained through that kind of engagement that you can't put into words until you've felt it. In the end you can't even be mad at the other person, because you gained so much.

The controversy at the strongman final was a humbling experience for Thor, the boxing match result was a humbling experience for Eddie. In the whole lead-up to this fight, I had no favorite but other than may the better man win. After seeing the videos you two put out after the fight... the winner has to be the fans in both camps that got to see our heroes stand up and show their full measure. I was Very fortunate to see you perform at WSM 2019 in Bradenton. I met and talked with both your Father and Grandfather. That experience really changed my life and got me into fitness. You and Eddie were always my favorites. You introduced me to a part of strength training that had an entire different mentality than bodybuilding. I fell in love with the comraderie and the respect for your fellow athletes. No backstabbing or hiding. You want to beat your competitors at their best. I expected you to both put in the work, as athletes, we knew you could approach this intelligently. That said, the fight really blew me away! I would like to see eddie work on his head movement more, and countering from a philly shell. Your movement was fantastic, i would love to see you continue with boxing, your transformation from one of the most powerful humans we've know, to a peak warriors physique, while knowing how to use it! Just, fucking applause man, it would be hard to estimate how many people you have inspired with these deeds. Take a year, maybe two, pursue a few coaches to round out, but i would certainly watch any combat you do, mma, boxing, thai, im watching!
