Hi Steve, I apologise for the confusion. I've had bakeries both in the UK and here in Spain for more than 60 years and at my age I have found it difficult to bake and work the camera, etc. at the same time, not to mention the editing part (Nightmare). I did fork the edges just before egg washing the pasties, unfortunately, that bit of the video vanished in the final version. By the way, Thank You for subscribing, it make a big difference.

Wow deffinatly going to give these a try, both my husband and I love cheese and onion, I’ve been buying M and S pasties but weather it’s “ health and safety” I’m not sure but there seems to be very little seasoning in anything one buys over the counter these days ( the salt police must have been round 🤔) and it makes for “ tasteless “ produce, I’ve only just come across your lovely straight forward recipes whilst looking for one for a “ custard tart “ I am now binge watching lol I’m going to be very busy over the coming weeks baking lol will be making your custard tart today ready for my daughter coming round for lunch. You also sound as if your a “Yorkshire” lad just like my husband 👍🐾🥰

Brilliant mr paul, ive not seen one of those tools for over 40 years, my old feller used one for making dog rolls in his bake house, i think he called them markers? Tell me, did you take a spud masher with you to Spain? Ive never seen them, in fact i sent some to friends in san Sebastian but they prefer to puree their potatoes, they are so watery
@MrPaulsPantry3 жыл бұрын
Hi John, Yes it's commonly know as 'Markers' but it's correct name is a 'Sharon Cutter'. Potato mashers are readily available here. One main reason for the poor mashed potatoes here is because most recipe books recommend boiling them for 1 hour, hence the watery results.

I'm looking for a recipe to follow to make my own C&O pasties as lately anything bought ready made from shops are dreadful. A cheese, onion and potato pasty l bought recently from a bakery was entirely filled with cubes of potato, and l found one little piece of onion and very little cheese flavour or cheese sauce, it was very dry. It had an overwhelming taste of ground black pepper. So l might try your recipe, but l was wondering about all the eggs in it, would it not be like scrambled egg inside? I would have liked to see one of them cut open to get a peek inside. 😊

Firstly, this video has had 34 thousands views and 244 comments, have you read them? You put more eggs in a cake, do they come out scrambled?

Can I put cokked ham or bacon in the filling ? Or to put cooked apple as filling in order to transform it to a sweet desert?

Hi there, Yes you can add pre-cooked ham or bacon. If using a fruit filling, make sure it's not too wet, otherwise it will cook out everywhere. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. Visit my Website mr-pauls-pantry.com/ For more recipes. Stay safe and keep cooking .
