Forgiveness requires that they accept their mistakes first. Sister is still actively lying to their own son about the reality of the situation. When that is done and she admits her screwup for all the world to see, then forgiveness can start.

Forgiveness is not required for OP to heal and she doesn't owe her sister anything just because they share DNA. OP did the right thing cutting out the cancer in her life.

Have you ever been wronged so deeply by someone?!?! The sister and mother supported the stalker ex and even encouraged it. Why should OP ever forgive that?!?! Maybe you’ve never been hurt by your family which is fantastic but, as someone that was stalked for YEARS by an ex, it’s scary as hell. If it weren’t for my husband and his career, I could’ve been seriously injured and much, much worse. I would’ve never forgiven my family if they supported that psycho. Maybe read more stories on how awful, fearful, and dangerous stalkers can be before you comment such nonsense
