Nice job. However, let me suggest two things. First, let me encourage you to ALWAYS look for possible traffic on approach before you take the runway. You entered Runway 6 and never looked to your left to make sure the approach was clear. ATC can make mistakes and it's possible they could clear you with someone about to land. That controller actually cleared a pilot to land on the wrong runway when you were in the pattern. He cleared them for Runway 24 instead of 6. The pilot himself caught the mistake. So stay sharp and always look for approaching traffic even if you've been cleared onto the Runway, including a line up and wait clearance. Secondly, your second approach was pretty low and flat. That could be a big mistake with those buildings so close to the runway. If you have a decent enough runway length, always pick a landing spot about a thousand feet down the runway. If you lose an engine you'll still make the runway. Had you lost an engine on that approach you would likely have never made the runway. Nothing says you have to land on or near the numbers. Keep flying safe flights.

Great job Erin. What a thrill for any pilot having their first solo (second, in this case). Keep going and keep up with being as professional as you can in the cockpit. Do some research on the airline career path, as well. It can start out a pretty hard road- you need to be ready for that reality. But with persistence- one day you will land that main line job. Nice work with the videography as well. Keep flying. Maybe we'll hear you on the comms in Class A someday!

I fly so much x-plane 11 that im now convinced that I could hop in and do this! Hahahahaha!!! Have you played any simulators, and if so how do they compare with the real deal Erin?
@ErinNnekaLai3 жыл бұрын
Haha! Ever since I was little, my dad (also a private pilot), has always played with simulators and I would just observe him. However, I wouldn't say that its necessarily the same. In my opinion, simulators grasp the "concept" of flying, but with flying an actual aircraft, you're "applying" everything that you've learned from trainings and such. You should go on a demo flight - I think you'll have fun!
