I have an autistic adult son. Back then they didn't understand it very well. What I would tell you that no matter what age if they show an interest in something. Allow it and follow it and encourage it. At 2 my son was pulling things apart. So I gave him some of Daddy's tools so that he could take things apart. Once apart you wanted nothing them. So I would just save all the screws and bolts and other parts. By the age of five he could pull any appliance apart. Never really talking about it. He didn't like any of his kids toys. He was reading wonderfully by 7. And by 10 he was drawing schematics of electronics. When he was almost 11, he built a tiny model of continuous energy. At 13, he created a lightning rod , that created lightning. Today he can fix my car , fix any appliance, fix any computer. He has built Bitcoin machines, rebuilt my furnace, rebuilt our water furnace. Redid all the electrical my house. The list goes on. Never underestimate your child's ability. I call autism, the brain that focuses on what he does best. Don't worry about the rest. Your other goal should be to socialize him as much as possible. You will be pleasantly surprised..

Yes, we got this and life is still beautiful and grand! My grandson is 4 years old and is autistic. My husband and I are very active in Cash’s journey and we try to be an extra layer of support for mom and dad (weekend overnights, attend therapy care conferences, mirror home routines, etc). Your channel and sharing Dylan’s journey has been such a blessing in our lives! As a result of viewing your channel, our suspensions were confirmed and Cash was diagnosed before the age of 2. Thank you for shining the light! Truly! Sending love and blessings from America!

It's scariest when they're young. My son was diagnosed at 2 1/2 but we knew at like 18 months. I was so terrified he wouldn't have a "normal" life. He's 8 now, and he's totally fine. A little bit of a weirdo, but he's so awesome and smart and hilarious, and I know he's going to be just fine.

My health worker was horrendous. My cousin and I had boys two months apart. Everything I asked her she scoffed at but fawned all over my cousin, praising her parenting skills. When my son used to bang his head on the floor she said let him do it, he'll stop when it hurts. He was 1 year old. At 18 months she finally realised something and declared he was deaf . He wasn't but it started us on the path to getting heard. George was diagnosed with severe learning difficulties and moderate to severe ASD 6 weeks before his 4th birthday. Any meetings with fellow parents since then has 50/50 outcome. The health workers are either amazing or horrendous. I don't forgive her for the way she treated us. My George is twenty now, my absolute world!! You know your child, trust you gut and love to you all xx

I felt this deeply today. I have a 12 year old son w autism and ADHD and I actually am a medical coder for pediatrics the very Drs he sees and I can't tell you how frustrating it is to get such delayed dx and treatments. The waiting lists here in Idaho are so long. Years. I feel like I have failed him. He is what they say is level 1? But the outbursts and big emotions are so much some days. Also the hitting himself. It feels hopeless some days. I've been a single mom in my home for 10 years. Many times I do all the things just to get it done in time for bed but it has cause so many issues for me w burnout and then not respecting me or helping ever. He plays like a tornado..toys in every room . Messed always. Some days I just am so tired. I want to be responsible for nothing some days like I dream of a vacation sitting doing nothing in silence. I adore both of my kids but man this is hard. It's also hard on my daughter who doesn't have autism to share space with him at times. Hugs to you. I just found your page today.

I knew my son was autistic years before he was actually diagnosis. They initially called him developmentally delayed at 19 months and was started in programs. 2 weeks before his 2nd birthday he came over patted my cheek and said 'mama'. His first words. He was considered high functioning when they did diagnose him. He is now 40 and completely independent, including being self employeed. Back when he was young, most people had never hear of autism.

Hey, I just found out about your channel, I watched most shorts, and I'm gonna be watching the videos as well. I noticed you haven't posted in a couple of months, so I don't know if you'll get to see my comment, but I just needed to say, those amazing, beautiful kids look absolutely well loved, it almost heals something in me, the way you look at them, the way you love them, your patience and how much you care, it's beautiful. I have 4 family members with autism who are diagnosed, and 1 that is my brother, that definitely has it but my mom won't let him actually get diagnosed, and you can already tell what type of person she is. And recently, I've been feeling like all the signs are pointing to the same direction, that I might have it as well.. I'm 19, and for most of these 19 years, I felt lonely or kind of isolated/different, for one reason or another, and realising now that I might have autism as well, it felt kinda overwhelming not gonna lie.. Even tho I'm still the same person before and after finding out (in case I do have it), but I guess I sort of had hopes that maybe there's a chance I could "change", maybe I'm just depressed, maybe it's just stress, social anxiety, burnout, etc. But now I realise that maybe that's who I am, and if I do get diagnosed with it, maybe it's better to accept myself and just give it a break.. instead of constantly being in denial, trying to fight it. But it had been feeling kinda lonely recently, but watching your YT shorts, how bright and happy your kids are, it made me feel so much less lonely, made me also realise that if I have autism, it's not really the reason for the hard time that I'm having right now, but rather the way I treat myself/allow myself to be treated in ways that just don't work for me. I really hope you're planning on going on with your videos, but either way, I wish you and your kids the happiest life ever!

She had occupational therapy, speech therapy and “School” 3 to 5 days a week starting at age 2. She is now applying to colleges. MIT is one of her top schools. She has a shot and hi hope she gets in. She is taking 5 AP classes, ranked 3 out of approximately 450 students and she has above 4.0 weighted GPA. My only point is don’t give up, get early intervention, and don’t let anyone think you’re crazy.

My sister n was also diagnosed with autism and they said just accept it. Not a chance! We found Kay Ness a neuro- developmentalist. She designed a program that we did for two years. We then had a woman who teaches children how to read and write using whole words instead of abc’s - brilliant! Dave is now 31 a dashing young man, well adjusted in a relationship with a delightful young woman. You would never know he was diagnosed as Asperger’s at 5 years old. Yes, he was non- verbal, very fussy with food and with touch. Couldn’t memorize abc’s, played for hours swirling water. Didn’t know how to play with other children. Never give up, the brain has a plasticity which means it changes and grows and learns well into adulthood. ❤

Its important to gain knowledge about autism. Because theres different presentations of it. I started to speak early but my first word was dog. Mom and dad came much later...and i repeated sentences and stuff i heard on the tv...then i started to talk at my parents...yeah ranting. I am not cognitively impaired but im too detail focused, a lot of sensory sensitivites, i need to do specific actions to relax or focus (stimming),i cant be around people for too long, things like phone calls and video calls can make me cry and shake. Im just trying to give an fyi for parents to check the dsm if a kid is just too withdrawn. Sometimes i feel social but a lot of social cues fly over my head (ranting and tmi information).

My daughter is an adult now, but she still struggles with speech and language. When she was little, 18months old and banging her head on furniture in frustration at communication, I started teaching her BSL, the sign and the word, things got alot easier, if she couldn't say it she could sign it. Communication dosen't have to be just speech. You can make a picture book ir cards of their favourite things, toys, places, teachers, family members, you can back it up with sign. Watch what they look at and are interested in. Point, say the word, get them to look at you, repeat the word, "Do Not Day 'Say'! Just keep talking and repeating the word sometimes just start the 2st part of the word and look at them to complete the word. Nursery rhymes, stop at certain points so they can join in. Story Books, stop and look at them to take part, take turns. Let's of things can be done. Just research online, yiu!ll find your own groups, hints and tips.

Just ask the parents that have had to go to the "vaccine injury closed court" legal process to get ANY kind of justice in the lies big pharma is allowed to continue to claim. Vaccines are not one size fits all. They contain heavy metals that cross the blood brain barrier. I could go on and on with the amount of information Ive read the past 30 years raising our children. To be honest i dont know how this video popped up. Your child seems normal to me. Idk why. But im from india where most of the problems/diseases go undetected/ untreated. While this can be a bane but there were many children in my school who had different psychological behaviour. They all studied in normal school. Though their levels were medium. I could now see that it is a medical problem that needs attention. They have all thrived great in their lives and when they have become an adult, they are able to manage. The reason is because the problem wasn't given too much of attention/ who knows they were not at all diagnosed. But I see a lot of parents getting scared which I completely understand. Donno if this helped. I think you can go to the doctor just like regular checkups and let your kid be however he/she is. I am sure the kid is already doing fine and will do great in the future. I noticed at four months that my son was autistic but the doctors told me he was way too young to be diagnosed. It took me years to get him diagnosed. Do you try to diagnose him with everything except for autism even though he couldn't talk until he was 4 years old. I think it's really cool that you were able to get your kid diagnosed that young.

@4months what were the signs ??
@shenanigans-love Жыл бұрын
@@shivalikascreativeworld5397 he never liked to be swaddled, he would stare out in space. By four months he was sitting up and crawling on his own. He screamed day and night. The only thing that would calm him down and get his attention was the baby Einstein collection. By the time he was 9-months he was running around. He said his first word around the same time and then never spoke again after that. Not until he was 4 years old. But when he could sit up on his own and he could crawl or walk he would rock back and forth he would slam his head against the wall or the ground. I taught him basic sign language just to tell me when he was hungry or thirsty or tired. He wasn't fully potty-trained until he was six

My son was diagnosed a year ago and he receives no help. He's had two speech therapy appointments months apart and that's it. It's ridiculous. They can offer me absolutely nothing

Most solutions are going to have to be focussed on the home. Understanding the difficulties they face and teaching them skills to cope with the issues.

My mother in law watches a little girl who is 2. Non verbal, swings her hands, spins in circles, screams fits that are astronomical, stacks everything.Literally evey sign is there. Yet the family who mind you work in doctors offices, think she is just fine. I only stated it once byt was told she is a lazy baby. She has only 4 front teeth and her size is so off. I cant believe if the signs are there and they dont want to admit it but early intervention is it. Bothing is wrong. She is beautiful no matter what. But if they could help or do something if somethinf is going on, why would you stale that

Your child isnt lazy, your child is ill. If you can, take your child to a different doctor.

As a mother who struggled to give birth and get pregnant I feel for all the mothers that have had no struggle but have given birth to our poor sweetened lovely little boys with autism.. For the life of me, I do not believe this is of Jesus. I believe this is of all the chemicals, shots and additives we have put into our system that these poor sweet souls struggle

Because people censor this information, and cognitive dissonance makes everyone turn on those who suggest anything against the narrative
