The recipe I promised 3 weeks ago: 2 tablespoons butter 1-1/4 cups heavy cream 2/3 cup grated parmesan or Asiago cheese. Get the good stuff. Kraft doesn't melt right. Also more for garnish. 2 tablespoons finely chopped Italian flat leaf parsley plus more for garnish. Salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cayenne pepper to taste. Start with a 1/4 teaspoon. 1 1/2 cups crab meat. 1 pkg fettuccine pasta. Melt butter in large Dutch oven, add the cream and parmesan or Asiago. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Stir constantly until the sauce has thickened. Add Cayenne and parsley, mix well, then add crab meat and cooked pasta, mix well and serve, top with more cheese, black pepper and parsley. Hope you enjoy.

I just boil a pot of water and add crab boil powder, lemons, onions and potatoes, then cut the fillets in cubes and add for the last few minutes almost like a low country boil. Pile it on a plate and melt some butter with lemon and garlic and pour over the fish and taters!! We call it poor man's lobster! Damn good!! Awsome vid! Cooking, you need to cook your flour , so add it in the grased stuff before adding moist stuff.. not get it Brown but juste lumping and heated.. that should get your chowder tastyer and thiker without corn strach... if it's not most enough before.. just add cube of butter or dash of oil to mix it...

Great video Tug! Thank Krystal for her chowder recipe. I’ve never thought about cream cheese in a chowder. I’m a huge broth based chowder guy from Nova Scotia and I make my own lobster broth from the shells and bodies. I’ve heard that shrimp broth from shrimp heads and tail shells is very delicious. (Wife is allergic to shrimp, so I won’t be doing that anytime soon). I actually only use skim milk with no cream as I want to taste the seafood, not the cream, but I think I will try the cream cheese. Thanks! I love how you somewhat call out poachers while getting your traps as “someone must have pulled mine, thinking it was theirs”. LMAO. Keep them coming and stay true to you and the family!!!

@@TugTrashOutdoors are the wire traps the same as a Blue Crab pot just no second level?
@TugTrashOutdoors
@TugTrashOutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
@@CrabdadCJ pretty much. The stones can’t get back out as easy as blues so no upper chamber needed. We are making them with bigger bait chambers to fit the different baits.

Let's go after some blue crab because that way you don't have to take off the one claw or both claws you can eat the whole thing

Thanks for the Vid. I would have liked to have seen you take apart the stone crab, peel it from the shell. I wanted to see if they stick to the shell at 8 minutes? Also was that 8 min from dropping them in the water or 8 min after the water starts to boil again? I have gotten 44 lbs so far this season about 274 claws in 6 weeks. I am trying to find the right cooking time so they are cooked but not over cooked and never stick to the shell? I cook somewhere from 12 to 15 minutes. Thanks and good luck!!

I was raised in Miami and left when I was 17. If I had known there was something cool stuff to do I'd have never. We were to poor to own a boat or much else. But now I have no excuse. Whenever best time for crabing and shrimping?
