I love your story and your deep faith and prayer life. As a Catholic AND Christian I was saved at baptism. My relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit has grown and developed through the Eucharist, Adoration and exposure to the Scripture. I am so sorry that your family could not see or experience the deep love of Christ while growing up. I truly appreciate your channel, but could never, ever walk away from my savior in the Eucharist. But thank you for not "bashing" the Catholic faith. Much love and peace.

Minnesota girl here, my daddy made an ice skating rink for my sister and I as well. He filled the garden with water and used railroad ties to block it in and then tied a rope end to end for me to hold onto and learn to skate across. By 2nd grade I was driving the snow mobile and pulling my cousins in the big sled behind. I went ice fishing and speared fish too! Minnesota, a great place to visit in the summer :P Now I giggle at the Texans wearing parkas in 58 degree weather.

Diana try the Sea Bands from any drug store or Walmart. It will be near the sea sick meds. No meds in them. Small package that will fit in your purse for whenever you need them. They look like sweat bands and you wear them on your wrist. They work great! Loved hearing your story.

Diana, Your faith makes me imagine a high voltage wire carrying so much power that it hums. Your faith is dynamic and alive. It hums with God’s glory. Sometimes God asks hard things of us to bring glory to himself. Other times, the person is so immersed in the goodness of God that it is evident to anyone who shares space with that person that they have been in God’s Presence. Remember in Exodus when the people stood in the door of their tents and watched Moses walk by on the way to the tabernacle in the wilderness? They couldn’t keep their eyes off him. I think it was because he was going to meet God and talk to him face-to-face, as one would do with a friend. It is a very beautiful, electrifying thing. (Thank You , Father, for your servant, Diana, who glows with Your goodness.)

I agree, there's something so special about growing up on a farm. We did Christmas eve at my grandparents. I always loved it! They had 11 kids and when we all got together the house was busting at the seams. It was so wonderful.

I grew up on a farm and my Grandmother lived with us so we had so much extended family visiting every weekend. I was very blessed with my Mom and an amazing Dad that gave us the world! Not always material things but unconditional love! We didn’t go to church as a family however my best friend and I would get dressed up in our Sunday best and my Dad would drive us and pick us up at our little rural church. I think that’s why I love your change as I grow older I’m curious and interested in the Bible and God’s doing!

I grew up on a dairy farm in NE Mississippi. My brother and I grew up in 4-H! I am successful today in my career because of my 4-H experiences. We did a LOT of those demonstrations! I was selected to go to Washington DC my junior year in high school. I won other trips also. This really expanded my horizons that have affected me to this day. We grew up in a small country Baptist church. I was so blessed to have the parents God gave me.

I’m grateful to be able to finally understand parts that before I had trouble with. I grew up in a country church with only 2 rows of pews. It will always be my home church. Listening to you and Dawn talk about your childhood is so encouraging to those younger folks now. A friend and I was talking a few months ago about how we grew up. We didn’t know we were poor because we had everything we needed. Kids today don’t begin to understand how it was back then. I’m so thankful that you talk about how you grew up. I’m hoping it will shine a light for kids today to understand the difference between wanting something and needing something. I loved listening to your story. I’m 71, always had a faith, but like you, not so knowledgable on the bible.. never too late to learn. So thank you for sharing.. can never get enough of minimal mom, so now to find you , is an absolute blessing, right now. Good Morning, It is now 5:30am on Thursday, Dec 9. After watching your video I will be reading my daily devotional Jesus Calling and my Advent study Advent in Plain Sight. Love your story I grew up in rural Iowa. Farm life 💕💕💕. Do your research before you get chickens- as a four generation farmer I thought I would be a natural at backyard chickens-- An owl ate all my chickens in one meal.

My husband’s family is Catholic and my family is Protestant. it would be very interesting to hear about how your Catholic faith as a child influenced you and how you came to the decision to attend a different kind of church. There are so many types of churches and I think it might help people to discern what Christian path will fit them best.
