Hi! Maybe or probably you have noticed that the time difference between Germany and Spain is 0. Spain is attached to the Germany meridianum and not to the Greenwich Meridianum which fits better. This is an old story that comes from Franco Germany alliance.... So, if you move one or two hour your time-schedule it doesn't seem so different, is it? Here, in Spain is weird to put your children in bed at 6 or 7 pm when the sun is raised until almost 10.00 pm in summertime. So, it could be that our spanish time scheduled is more sun-adjusted than your traditional timing. In my humble opinion, you are trying to adjust to a schedule that has an error that comes from the fact that here, in Spain, all the time-shedule is connected to a wrong meridianum. I don't know, maybe it helps you a bit to understand us better. Well, happy to talk with you and sorry for my poor english but that's is why I am here: to listen people talking in english. Bye.

Great video! I feel you on so many things you said. I am only 4 months pregnant, but am already trying to figure out how to teach three languages. I completely understand your opinion about keeping your kids at home and not sending them to preschool so soon. However, I am worried about my to be son starting off behind in school if his Catalan is not up to speed. We only speak Spanish and English at home. That would be the main reason for us considering preschool early...for the Catalan. How do you plan on dealing with this? Thanks!

Kids are extremely quick to learn things. Language included. I am constantly surprised at both my kids understanding of English and Spanish. As for learning it “later” I can use the example of when I was a nanny. The America family I worked for came to Germany with no German. After working with the kids for a few weeks, spending time at the playground the oldest (4years at the time) went to a German kindergarten. It took little time for him to pick it up and he was speaking and understanding everything like a native. For the few days and weeks prior to his really understanding, he had no problem playing with German kids at the playground. They used hand gestures and had a great time playing together. Kids will amaze you if you give them the chance.
