My Thoughts on KH X / UX's Story | Kingdom Hearts Discussion

Hey guys, I finally got around to watching the story for Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and Union X! I'm gonna tell you my thoughts on the characters like Ephemer and Skuld, along with returning ones like Ventus or Lauriam. I'm there's also a couple of interesting details I haven't seen much discussion on so I hope you'll enjoy!

One thing i wanna add actually woth the length of UX, the vid with all the cutscenes has a pretty slow text speed (Footage from Everglow). I think you could get through it in half the time on double speed as long as you don't mind the sped up music

If you want I can answer any questions about the fandom at any point during the time Unchained x and Union X was live because I was an avid player since it first came out on smart phones I even had my own party! So if you have any questions about how the game played or any of it's features I pretty much know everything about it!

Oh i did play a lil bit of unchained and union X, so I have a general understanding of how the game was, but it filled up all of my storage on my phone. And also not only that but there was a long stretch of filler from the last time i had an actual story mission, so cause of that i decided to not play the rest. I remember tho I did come back when the UX update dropped and got carried up to level 200 cause I did a multiplayer mission 😂

There were a couple of KHyoutubers or reacters that mention the og Keyblade War, but most have either forgotten or focused more on eveything else happening. What I find interesting is that including the War MoM & Darkness originated from there have been four Keyblade Wars in total that we know of. First the prehistoric one with MoM vs Darkness, the second KHx one in the Daybreak Town outskirts which will later become Keyblade Graveyard, three in TAV vs Master Xehanort, Vanitas, & Braig (Luxu), and the fourth in KH3 with Real Org. 13 vs Seven Gaureians of Light.

Rewatching this I feel you overlooked some things. Granted its long and a lot to cover so its forgiven. So I will point some out. With Darkness it was revealed by MoM that when he was young he and others fought & cornered Darkness and were on the verge of winning. Desperate Darkness manigfied his power by giving up his physical form and split into 13 splintered versions of himself then overwelmed and killed or corrupted all of MoM allies/friends. Which is the origin point for both from then on. However despite being ageless formless being he is slowly losing his sense of self or individualilty. Becoming more hive mind like. To the point that sole have eben deteriorated into unthinking instinctual remants that if which become the pureblood Heartless that we know today. So it was through gleaning the book of prophechies and manilpulating others that it sought a eay to survive long enough to circumvent thus abd spread their essence so that everything will be them and thus no fear of becoming lesser. It is with this context and what Luxu points out, is that the more they splinter the more vulnerable they are mentally. Since they have been gradually losing their "sense of self" overtime since the first initial splintering. Not to mention their huge ego. So it's kinda understandable how they felt confidant no one could outdo them,( besides MoM) until Luxu & mostly the player. Its important to remember this going forward. The origin part at least.

To be fair Sora DID meet Empramer in KH3 which later helped start the whole “Light of the Past” sequence to deal with the DarkLegion Heartless in the Keyblade Graveyard. Not to mention the little things like how Strelitzia is heavily implied to be referenced with the giant mech/ reaper woman nobody in Chain of Memories that Marluxia rides on top of. Of which they directly allude to what with her becoming strong enough to hold up her brother one day. Not too mention This game, Missing Link and especially Dark Road heavily imply that Brain is Eraqus’s grandfather or great grandfather. Speaking of Dark Road plan on revisiting it with this game in context now?

Ahhh thats a nice connection with strelitzia. With Ephemer in KH3, I'd tell ppl to watch X back cover at least so they can be familiar with those characters. Even now we still dunno how that happened. With brain I wanna wait till Missing Link comes out to dive more into that, but in terms of DR one thing Ive actually wondered was how xehanort saw a flashback that player wasn't present for. At the time i just assumed they were there, but they were actually in game central. I think rn my dark road vids mostly still hold up, but I may revisit it as ML stuff comes out

@@EdgardoJCruz-dk5kv No that's the thing, one of the flashbacks was something that player was not even there for (when they first found out that ven's story with ava isn't matching up with the others)
