That bike shop was HUGE. But having issues after service is a real PITA. Glad it worked out in the end.😮😮

In short…plain and simple…they just didn’t balance the tire the first time. If the bike had a shake the tire was out of balance. Blows me away they fed you all that BS…..to much weight blah blah blah. I had a similar issue with a set of news tires (on a ‘06 Kawasaki 900 Vulcan Classic). I immediately went back to the dealer and they jumped right on it and corrected the issue…without feeding me any “I’ve been doing this 30 years BS”. Glad you got it corrected. Loved the vid too.

@@F6B_ADVENTURES unfortunately I’ve developed some health issues that prevent me from riding any more. But I do love discovering biker videos now. They “sort of” help give me that filling of what it was like riding. Stay safe brother. Happy trails.

Dealer was bullshitting you - incompetent work. This is either a wheel balance or they didn’t bounce the forks to align the axle properly before doing up the pinch bolts on the axle. I’ve just had to do this on my ST1300 (I took the wheels off myself and got the tyres changed). What happens in lots of dealers is they put the wheel on and then just tighten the punch bolts on the axle. Any unbalance in the forks gets locked in and then the axle is skewed/cocked. Your wheel is then off-centre. When you get a chance, undo the clutch-side pinch bolts on the axle, bounce the front hard (3+ times - try and dive it by rolling and sudden brake - you can sit on the bike). This relieves any axle/fork tension. Then tighten up the pinch bolts to the correct torque. I’m sure there’ll be a friendly ‘Wing rider who would help you out with this on your travels. I’m making the assumption that the wing has the same setup for the front axle as the ST1300. They are usually pretty similar.

Hi Adan, sorry about your tire troubles. At least the dealer made it right for you. The waterfall was beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Well not really. It still had a tiny bit of a shake to it. Will check with dfw honda when I change it and see if they the rim or something. Idk.

@@F6B_ADVENTURES Hope my comment above helps you out. I suspect it’s a reassembly f’ up. Also get your dealer to double check the balance and the tyre and paint-dot alignment. All tyres come with a coloured dot on the tyre. This is the lightest point on the balance of the tyre and should be put where the valve is. This basically allows the weight of the valve to counteract the light spot of the tyre. That way very little amount of balance weights are usually needed when done properly. You can inspect this yourself. The paint dot is on the sidewall and is typically red, yellow or light blue.

@@F6B_ADVENTURES Don’t wait to get this solved. It can drastically cause your tyres to wear improperly.

Anyway hopefully I’ve given you enough knowledge now that when you watch the next guy do your tyre changes you need to watch out for these things: 1) Tyre direction arrows match wheel direction arrows, 2) coloured paint dot on tyre is exactly at valve stem, 3) wheel balance is done and you see that the machine says OK in green or if manually balanced the wheel never rotates on it’s own when put in any rotation, 4) Front forks get bounced before final axle tighten. Be present when they do this work and watch out for this stuff. Also make sure any labels on the tyre are removed before they start work.
