A week ago I joined a dating site. Today I had a chat interaction and the guy hadn't even revealed his name yet and het was already asking to exchange phone numbers. I said no and that I didn't feel safe in giving my phonenumber to a stranger. Then two exchanges later he asked where I lived exactly. That were 2 red flags in less then 10 minutes. And I responded the following : "I don't feel at ease with your requests. I wonder how many women give their phonenumber and address to a random stranger they are chatting with for the first time. I wish you the best of luck in your search." I blocked his profile and removed the chat from the datingsite. I was relieved that I didn't ignore my gut instinct. Thanks for these tips. I have been following the rule of having your own money on a date since a while. I went on a date with my boyfriend and he ordered food, drinks and ice cream. He paid for everything and also wanted to get ice cream and snacks for his kid brother as take-home. He wanted to pay with his card as he paid our food with cash, the card reader at the restaurant had issues and I offered to pay with the money I had with me. I took enough money with me that could get our foods before going on that date. It saved him the embarrassment of returning what he wanted to get for his kid brother. He transferred my money to me when he got home.
@crescentiajoseph57772 жыл бұрын
Talking about red flags. They are always there and God has bless all of us women with intuition. Some of us choose to turn a blind eye. When this tall dark and handsome guy asked me out on a date, I was so so excited. I chose Central Park in NYC, a quiet place, conducive for conversation. We were just strolling through the park when this kid, maybe 5 years old kicked a soccer ball towards my date. As if the kid who was there alone with his mom was looking for a play mate. Can you imagine, this guy just totally ignored the little boy who was waiting in anticipation of the ball being kicked back to him. I was shocked! Something like that should be a reflex action. Which human would not kick a ball back to a kid? That was my red flag. I run out of there with lightning speed.

U BETTER Preach Sis! I followed these rules when I met my husband and it worked! I got married at age 37 and am 53 now. I always followed the 90 day rule before I met my husband, but rule #1 made the biggest difference for me. I became so comfortable in my own skin and fell in love with me . I REALLY got to know my Self with all of my greatness and all of my flaws, the tide turned. I felt fulfilled within myself when I met my husband and that alone helped me to follow all of these rules…well….except for #2! (But I’m a picky eater so I guess it made it look like I wasn’t hungry. If I don’t like it, I’m not eating it! 😂🤣😂)

@DonnaInTheBlack2 жыл бұрын
Fumi, these are rules to live by. #2 My parents always had us eat before leaving the house. I am a picky eater and I have discovered that to avoid being Hangry, I need to eat first. #3 When you order, plan on paying the bill and travel with enough money to pay for both meals. #4 I have a daylight rule for first few dates, meaning I will be leaving before the sun sets. Plan for another engagement after so you stick to allotted time. #8 No cookies- A man with self control will respect you. Self control goes beyond the bedroom and will spill into other aspects of his life. #9 In the words of the late Maya Angelou, " When people show you who they are, believe them". #10- The only thing I would amend on this, because I do believe where someone lives tells you a lot about them, show up with a couple of friends for a short visit. The people that know you best will see things that you may miss. When you first meet someone you are dating their representative. It takes time for them to show up. In the presence of your friends, who they are tends to surface more quickly.

I know for sure if I had a mom talk to me this way, teaching me guiding me with this kind of certitude and positivity I would have been married already. I'm in my late 30's. I made mistakes because I honestly didn't know. No one told me anything about men, dating, touching, sex. So imagine the nativity and heartbreak that came with that. I watched a lot of my girlfriends get married along the years and one thing they all had in common was, they had really amazing mom's. Mother's that really guided them into women hood. Mother's that made sure they were maturing emotionally as well as socially. In my thirties is when I had an older woman take me under her wing, it was my doctor actually. It really changed my life. Thank you Fumi like you said you have many daughters. We appreciate you, you are a true Queen 🌟👑❤️

lucky you. You found someone to follow, I am yet to meet that person. I have the same problem as you have. My mom is alive but she doesn't give me no advice and all she does is to listen to people outside and every time I confront her she kept saying I am lying. I never had a good relationship with her and as a matter of fact, she doesn't even know anything about me. Can't talk to her as she won't even listen and most times it will end up in a fight so I stopped talking at all. I live with her but most time all we say is "hi" and "Bye" when we go to work. This woman never even thought me how to cook or clean or wash clothes with hands and when I confront her she goes on defence mode and says I am a stubborn child. I am in my late 20s and had to use youtube to learn the basics of everything as this woman didn't teach me anything. Even my grandmother tells her that she needs to teach me and my mom just replies 'oh she can cook already no need for that. I have neglectful parents. They do the bare minimum and that's it and I am sick and tired to see how my friends have good parents and I have these 2. When I was a child I went to the police so that I could get adopted but it didn't work. That's just to tell how bad these 2 are. They just gave birth to me and I have to raise myself alone. Very shameful

Once you've established that you 2 can work/walk together because you agree ie. you have a similar/ common goals in life. REMEMBER YOU DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO TEST-DRIVE BEFORE BUYING A CAR that you hopefully want to 'drive' till death do u part -__-

This regarding #2. Been in my current relationship for sixteen months now and on every date I barely touch the food and take it home because I didn’t want to waste. One day we got a sandwich and went to the beach and ate it there. We were so relaxed and then he looked at me with a huge smile on his face and said I must be very hungry, I had almost finished the sandwich without realizing it, and I had never realized that I had never had a meal in front of him in more than one year. 1. Know yourself. Love yourself, self confidence. Find what you love n monetize it n u’ll meet people. Poor is the one whose happiness is dependent on another. Find happiness within you. 2. Eat before you go out. Avoids you looking too eager or hungry. 3. Bring your own money to the date. Have your own money. Keeps away disrespect. Pay half or tip waiter. Pay your taxi. 4. Date is 2 hours max. Longer makes you look desperate. Make plans for after date so u leave early. 5. Date as many as u can. No physical contact. Interview them all. 6. Don’t say too much in the beginning. Say less. Interview them to see if you’re interested in same things. Are you compatible? 7. Don’t be first to call. When asked for date say you’re busy. Treat him like the guy you don’t like if you like him. Be hard core. Don’t go back n forth texting it’s too much access. Don’t call him. 8. Don’t sleep with him. Don’t let him touch you intimately or deep kissing. No cookies. You get to know each other with no sex. Men like a challenge so keep cookie to yourself 😉 9.Don’t ignore the red flags. Any comment or actions that u don’t like. Anything you don’t approve, he’s not your guy. 10. Don’t go to his house. Go to public. Last but not least: Don’t exclude male friends. Now I have learned to be happy by myself and do what makes me content in life! I always say people come into your life when you least expect it! I stopped years ago seeking a relationship because if it’s in God’s plan then it will just happen naturally. My biggest issue these days is a lot of men expect women to pull out their money and spend on them! My first reaction is why should I invest in a man who is not proving to me that he is able to build a kingdom for the both of us?? It’s pretty sad that still happens nowadays and that is one of the things that concerns me that I have my stuff together and it’s difficult finding someone who matches that or better! Keep the faith and remember anything is possible if you are true believer ❤️

It’s the same thing. They don’t get introduced to your kids. Surely they can know you have kids when they ask but they are not the subject when dating only he and you

Yeah! As a small business owner and independent daughter I must find a good husband and pray that we're be helpful for each other passion and share more time to keep a great relationship together. I'm still waiting for the engagement while having devotional prayers to keep my plans for the future to be respected also, to have positive outlook also by having our Team. Maybe someday I'll be able to win him for a lifetime..by now I'm still making checklist to assure of it.. I want to rely my own version to see him as my great defender someday and will protect my profile so fine.

And Mrs FDV does it again! Love the look today and the laughter always! Seriously though, NEVER IGNORE THE RED FLAGS! I did. Met my husband in my late twenties. Fast forward 20 years, I was blessed to be able to leave with my children and my life (or what was left of it). I thank God for that, but I can't lie, I saw the red flags and waved them away, but they didn't go!!!

This video is so timely and the advices so valid. Thank you so much for always pouring into us. I don't take the lessons I learn here for granted. I've been single for almost a decade and celibate as well. I just met someone who has the qualities I want in a life partner. He is serious and intentional. I really like him but I wish I watched this video before now. We talk a lot but I feel I've made some mistakes in the beginning (not setting clear boundaries sexually, too much access etc ). We haven't met yet so all we do is talk and getting to know each other better. Please can you advise on how to correct these mistakes. Is it too late to start implementing them?

These are definitely great tips that I've used and they work 100% BUT I have to add that I have male cousins and friends (buddies) that have told me that when women do stuff like these tips, they wait it out and once they've had the woman eventually, they dump her because they felt she was playing games. I think there are no real rules, it will work with some men and not with others... They're women who slept with men on the first date and got married, still married, while some others didn't.

This is such a big highlight in my life at the moment, I can now see the mistakes that I made with a guy who flew 35hrs in to meet me, and at the end of it all it never worked. Thank you, Fumi for keeping a watch on your daughters, these are the things I wish my mother taught me, learning the hard way is painful, but guess what I am finally breaking the cycle, I am done making these mistakes. Thank you💐

I agree with all with exception to number 3. Yes, always have cash on hand and be able to pay, but don't! I earn 6 figures, I drive an expensive luxury brand. I arrive in that car and my date will pray for all the things. Why, if I don't allow him to manage his finances to entertain me he won't manage his finances to support our family. There's a cost to being a MAN!

Fumi, thank you so much for this video! As usual, you are simply fabulosity itself. What a refreshing viewpoint on dating. You knocked this one out of the park! I love that you pointed out that our happiness is not another person's job but our own. I didn't learn that until my fifties! We are so lucky to have you on KZbin.

These rules are golden!!! I approve of everything. When people come with the “but this” and “but that” and fluke one of a kind examples that worked for them that’s all it is. These are rules for wanting a serious full commitment relationship. If the man’s serious and knows your going to be his wife these rules don’t bother him.
