You amaze me! How are on earth did you suddenly learn how to work on a 722.6 transmission?? And taking everything out in the course of an evening!? You are amazing, well done.😊

I like how you just casually tear down the drivetrain and rebuild the car like it's as simple as replacing brake pads. This channel has so much potential if you had enough content. (hard to do)

It is pretty hard. I wish I was able to get a new car every week to restore and make a video on but that would be so expensive!

Nice repair. I'am advanced DIYer and I'm not sure If Id tackle repairing a transmission myself. Good progress on this S210!!

By the way, that's a good point about certain cars making you want to drive the speed limit and enjoy the drive.

Wow, you are super ambitious! Interesting video. I daily drove a W210 for about 40K miles. Once they are sorted, they are really good cars and great in the snow.

I can't wait until the winter. We don't get a crazy amount of snow here but the wagon will definitely be seeing a fair amount of it!

You should be very proud. Now you can really start your company. Buy up neglected Mercedesses. Restore/fix and put them back on the road and sell them.

Hopefully you replacec the rear main seal of the engine, as they are prone to leak on these M112

Replace the f1 and f2 freewheeling clutches And seals as needed. Also the metal plate between the bell housing and trans housing

Mercedes also has a blue silicone for bell housing bolts. Like a lock tite. Don’t have part number but it’s a tube from MB

I know you guys in the states don't seem to like diesel cars but I owned a 2001 E320 diesel for 17 years and it was amazing. I don't know if it had been mapped b4 I bought it but it would do 0-60 in under 8 seconds and do over 150 miles per hour. It also did around 38 plus miles to a imperial gallon. In all the years I owned the car it never missed a beat and I did almost 250 thousand miles. I have no idea why Americans don't like diesel but they are missing out.

I love Mercedes diesels, although I have yet to own one. I really like the ‘05-‘06 E320 CDI’s

@@OnlyKelp Mine was the older straight 6 engine and it was awesome. You should deffo buy yourself a diesel and perhaps win over a few of your fellow Americans. You will also save a fortune on fuel and maintenance. Btw I love your video's.

Modern day diesels started gaining popularity in the US about fifteen years ago but VW dieselgate put a stop to it for the most part. Also it is important to understand that diesel prices in the US are significantly more expensive than gasoline, usually more expensive than premium gasoline. Add the fact that diesels are generally slower as compared to gasoline versions and you see there is little benefit for Americans to own one. Yes diesels have high torque but that’s no substitute for hp when you aren’t moving heavy loads.

@@AB-jz9ns Dieselgate did not affect anyone other than to give them a opportunity to make ridiculous compensation claims. I don't know what diesel cars you are driving but they are certainly not slow. I don't know about the price structure in the states but my E320 will do well over 40 MPG on the freeway. The petrol or Gas version would struggle to get 25 ..

Old German cars almost never seem to stay mechanically sorted unless its a really old and simple one.
