"Just get a bit Jazzy". How I live my life Fran and exactly why I love my shadowboxing routine more than any other part of my boxing workout besides fighting. It is such a Zen moment for creativity, relaxation and fun

😀 Exactly. About the easiest boxing activity in which to 'find flow'. Thanks for watching👍

Could you post your drill? I love learning them
@myshadowkungfu3 жыл бұрын
When shadow boxing...any movement you make starts the same. A sinking of the body. When you pivot, think of a drill digging in. It has to dig in before it can start cutting. It needs to be imbedded. By sinking, you become more grounded. This Mans' advice...to be inventive, creative, innovative, is key.

Thank you, really good advice, hope people take note.

Take a day to watch just this Mans' videos. There is a mathematical aspect to everything. Those lines on his floor...THEY MEAN SOMETHING.

Pacquiao does that "controlled aggressive" shadow boxing, like going forward throwing punches and then he pivots or finds another angle, he does the same backward. Great video!

Yes, seen him do that...genuine machine gun punching on the attack

Way to put it together coach 🤙🏼I find myself doing this all day long I do a drill on the aqua bag and when I’m back inside the house constantly reworking and fine tuning form. Or when I’m too tired or sore or the weather isn’t right I do it too just wishing I could work the bag😂
@myboxingcoach3 жыл бұрын
Good stuff, keep it going. We all love that bag work :-)

Can you bounce while moving
@kevinlong28543 жыл бұрын
Hi Fran just a question on if a fighter has the opponent in trouble or knocked down in the first or second round.( Campbell V Garcia or MMA Usman v Burns last Saturday) I know it's early and the opponent is strong, fresh but are you not better going for broke while you have him in trouble as you invariably go on to lose the fight anyway when you back off and they have time to recover. Particularly Campbell as Garcia had never been knocked down, felt he missed the opportunity by being too cautious. Love your videos. Cheers, Kev
@myboxingcoach3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kev. When you land on someone, it all depends on how quickly the eyes clear. So a boxer can tell if an opponent is still stunned. If their body shape and eyes tell you they are not, then caution is always the best option I would suggest. I guess that Luke could see it was a knockdown but the after-effects were limited, he's clocked enough people to know :-). Cheers mate.

I can always use advice and I'm especially uncomfortable with shadow boxing. I have tried to think of it like katas except it doesn't translate. And it's not quite like drilling. I just feel stupid. 😂😂
@myboxingcoach3 жыл бұрын
It will come. I think the drills separately do over time support the ability to 'find flow' in your shadow 👍

hi Fran, i no longer have social media to contact you, i have attended the gym a few times, haven't been for a while (prior to covid regulations), will you upload a video at some point in the future for when your gym will be reopening so i can attend, thanks. 4x a week im doing training of my own, in the garden using the boxing bag going of your videos. Doing runs throughout the night etc. It's Connor by the way, if you remember me.
