Klay is a 4 time champion. Coming to Dallas is the best possible basketball fit. He's playing next to 25 year old MVP candidate Luka Doncic, and Kyrie freaking Irving, who last we checked just took their team to NBA finals. Lakers won't be in the Playoffs. BEST case scenario, the SQUEEK into the Play-in. Again. And lose in round 1. Again. Remember, AD played 76 games. (He's avg 48.5 games per season with the Lakers prior to last season.) Same with Lebron. He played 71 games last years. (He's avg'd 55.6 games per season with the Lakers prior to last year.) The 2 of them played a combined average of 104.1 games the previous 4 seasons. Last year, they played a combined 147. Given their injury history, that's not likely to happen again. So with AD and Lebron likely returning to the mean and playing less games next season, the team not signing ANY free agent (And stop with the Max Christie talk...he's nothing more than the next THT.), losing Prince (a solid rotation player) and doing little to improve the team except draft 2 rookies, this roster is no better than it was last year. Meanwhile, virtually every other team in the West made at least one move to improve (even if they were just role players). I have no hope for this team. We have Lebron, Klutch and the ineptitude of Pelinka, Jeanie et al to thank for that. The only way this team will be competitive again is once Lebron retires and he and Klutch stop holding the Lakers future hostage in favor of appeasing Lebron's personal quest to enhance his INDIVIDUAL legacy at the expense of the Lakers TEAM legacy. Lebron is NOT a team guy. He is all about Lebron. Period. End of story. RIP Lakers.

I think he is going to fit very well with the Mavs and I can see how the locker room and having a player-coach like J.Kidd would be great for him. Klay comes from a motion offense, dallas has a brute force offense with Luka the primary than Kyrie..everyone else lobs, put backs, transition, catch and shoot..Kidd will have change some things with his offense.. secondly without derek Jones Jr who will now defend Kawhi, KD, Lebron, Antman, Ingram..
