Nice slides & timelapse Simon! Have you seen Matt Powers flouro vids, shows the phos being delivered in real time, amazing! tempted to buy a flouro stage for my old scope, tho not sure about joining his DNA database thing, the tools are hellish expensive, but the info he's comming out with on things like the E. coli genus are fascinating!
@Simonsoil2 жыл бұрын
I've just had a quick look at his channel and I'll be sure to subscribe. Thank you for the tip. It looks like really interesting interesting stuff and I'm quite interested by his database. The fluro stage is really useful and your can get some interesting data, but in my humble opinion, there are clear lines between citizen science, traditional science and just plain old getting on and growing things. There's definitely room for all of them and all are to be valued, I'm just saying that once you get into data collection, that is very different to growing. Each to their own I guess and it's great that people want to give and share with others, whatever! 😁

Thank you for Myco 101. In your experience, what is the most efficient method of introducing the fungi to plant roots? I've noticed many products for sale in granular and powdered form. I've also seen your videos harvesting local variants. Is this best introduced during the seedling transplant stage? Thank you, as always, for sharing your knowledge.

Hi Eric. Hope you're well thanks for the support as always! 😁 There are many dips and gels available, which I have limited experience with, but the ones I tried seemed to be more effective and confidence building than granular products. In terms of building 'that' relationship between the plant and fungi, the earlier the better! So, if you can treat seeds so that they inoculate as they emerge, so much the better. Even seedlings and young plants will benefit. I feel that the older the plants get, the more of a needle in a haystack, the situation becomes.

Recharge or mykos . Recharge I water in every week maybe 2 times a week. Mykos I'll use that if or when I transplant, sprinkle on roots and in the hole. Not a whole lot jus alil. Alil goes a long way so no need to waste it. Bud candy and b52 are also a must for you my friend. It will make your grow. Especially if u then add big bud at week 3 to 7. Flush on 8th week. Hope this helps. 👍

How can I make endomycorrhiza naturally?
@dmo8485 ай бұрын
Recharge from real growers works excellent on damn near every plant i put it on. Also another secret ingredient is golden tree from Humboldt nutrients. Omg works great for the start of flower. Gives that lil push that flowers need to get started. A bunch of good stinky stuff. Jus don't get it anywhere as it stains and smells like something died😁

I do not think fungal cultures can be induced unless the biome is ideally set up for that spices. The fungal organisms that are added will immediately need to compete with thousands of microorganisms already present in the soil. You can induce fungal cultures to sterile substrate like when people grow mushrooms. If you add mushroom spores to contaminated substrate (like garden soil) it is unlikely your added culture will outcompete the thousands of already thriving cultures. It just doesn’t work that way despite what the clever marketing people tell you. People see to think that adding microbes is like adding fertilizer. Healthy plants will support the organisms that support the plant. These relations are quite specific. My best suggestion is to create an environment for a healthy biome and the fungal cultures will grow. They are already there. They blow in the wind and are omnipresent except sterile environments. I really don’t think you can induce these cultures. Your plants are growing will because you are a good gardener. We really can not control what grows in the soil on a micro level from macro manipulation. I would save your money on the supplements and focus on basic horticultural basics and the mycorrhiza will take care of itself. The mycorrhiza is a response to ideal environment not something that can be induced unless the microbe is ideal in which case it’s already there. It the biome is not ideal for the specific spices being added your expensive additive will become food for the thousands of competing microbes. The argument of adding these is silly. Mycorrhizae is the end goal from quality growing. It is not a means to an end it is the end of good means. Save your money and focus on good horticultural technique and the fungal growth with happen on its own like magic=ideal growing environments.
