My wife is a retired groomer and is addicted to watching you now that she is physically incapable of doing it herself. Her last day of work she had to go to the ER to get her scissors cut off her hand. Her arthritis has just ruined her hands. She says you are one of the most talented groomers shes seen since school. Good on you, madam Croy.
@myfavoritegroomer6 жыл бұрын
Wow, I am so so sorry to hear that. You tell her, that is why I made the www.dogupstand.com because those groomers who tell me "I don't need assistance" "I have a helper" or ones I've seen at conventions, who say, "my hand is fineeeeee".... I'm like "be honest man" it's not "FINE" we ALL know the wear and tear it takes to do this job (like a barber and barbress too) and it's a lot on us. One day, I'm not going to be able to carry on either, so my impression on the groomers, I hope, helps many. Thank you for your story and sharing the REAL! Means a lot to me!

Dee, I’ve been watching your videos for several months now. I’m an animal care technician at a shelter in Connecticut and everything you’ve taught me has really helped me to help make my longer haired, matted, neglected dog and cat friends more comfortable and every time they leave the table, you can see how much they appreciated getting their painful mats removed and cleaned up. They look and act like new pets afterwards. Every time I have a friend on the table I think of you and you’ve helped me make more of a difference. This video really hit home for me. Thank you so much for everything. Boo looks beautiful!!! Her demeanor changed so much from beginning to end - she came in panting and stressed from her transport and became so calm towards the middle and end. I’m saving up so I can get some clippers and gear from you that are geared towards grooming and not just surgery prep shaves.

I'm not sure if it is appropriate to comment like this 😂 sorry if I say something wrong. I'm a depressed person with anxiety disorder as well. I found your videos and I know that you're a veteran and the way you care for the dogs you groom, how you work hard to get an income with something that you really passionate about without being influenced by money and fame, and his you just being yourself and your courage on telling owners that they need to brush their dog every single day different parts a day it's just really inpsiring and really help me a lot. Sorry if I'm weird :( I'm not good in communicating. But it doesn't stop me from sending you this message as I want you know you have made an impact in my life and in my healing. This was my dog from childhood and after I moved out my mom would just feed and water her. I was not allowed to take the dog because she paid for it. I would go and groom my Sweetie 6 times a year and I felt like it wasn't fair. She would get matted so bad because no one would even pet her. I hated seeing her matted and sunstained, she was an amazing dog and fully house trained. By no means am I claiming to be a groomer but I was the only person who could get that close to her.

We fought ear infections with my Lab, and were getting discouraged. Then our new vet took a sample and looked at it microscopically. The dog had yeast and bacterial infections, and she had him on several pills and ointments and ear wash. We followed instructions exactly, and IT WORKED. Don’t give up...see your vet, and ask for an ear exam with the microscope if he doesn’t suggest it!
