I did switch to advanced and that helped get into the system faster, but I still have major issues with its voice recognition. Thanks

I have a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited, and all your problems are still there. This is so sad ford never even cared to fix it

Mike, Thank you for a great you tube video. Question, my touch screen has stopped working and is now completely pitch dark. Have you encountered this problem? How would you fix this?

Hello Michael, I just ran across your video and it was extremely helpful but I have a question and I truly hope you are able to help me. On my Sirius system it displays a box that says " no signal", how do I get rid of that box. Any information you can provide me would truly be a appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried to do a hard restart? Just go to the menu and you'll locate in the program menu settings.

Thanks for that, quick questions lol 1) Does the escape have an AUX port at all? all I see are AV and USB. and I hear you cant use the AV while in motion. 2) How does the Wireless and Internet option work? 3) How does it update?

I have the 2014 escape titanic and i use aux and usb to play audio books. I use the advanced setting which makes things faster. It does have internet connectivity. My major complaints is still that its voice recognition stinks. I am an english teacher with a clear voice,without an accent. My car cant recognize anything. I compare my escape to our 2017 honda and our gmc denali.... every car i am in isbetter....and i bought the ford for its tecnology....grrr, they need to treat their customers better, and update the software or they will lose loyal ford consumers. I had fords for 20 years. I ddnt go back.

my ford touch in my Escape 20l4 Titanium does not recognize the voice commands well. It is so frustrating that I hate the car and I have a clear voice. I bought the car because of the voice navigation and now I refused to buy a new Ford because of this problem. Why hasn't Ford fixed itm for those of us that are stuck holding a 20l4 that causes nothing but frustration? I can't even get it to find a Perkin's restaurant or a Target store. It gives me totally unrelated places. I recently bought a Honda CRV Touring SUV with a Garmin link which works better. My husband has a 20l7 Denali and it works much better as well.

Yep, it's surprising how obsolete the Ford navigation is, especially considering what a massive company it is. I think it was a $795 feature? And now to update the maps they want another $149, LOL. I'm still happily using my google maps. Works great.

And BTW, I've had the car for almost three years and NOT ONE MyFordTouch update. I had multiple great suggestions in the video above, and I came up with those after using the system for a very short time. The engineers can't come up with one improvement themselves? Kinda ridiculous.

It's sad because I like the feel of the turbo charged ford escape. It handles the road well and has great pick up and decent mileage, plus enough room for hauling items. I would have bought a ford product if they had taken care of the updates on the sync 2. I know the sync 3 is better, but I am not going to buy a new sync 3 nav system for a 3 year old car.
