I never thought of putting cooking oil in one of those spray bottles before...air fryer life hack! Lol! I just got an air fryer 2 days ago, & I'm already hooked... I'm not huge on kitchen gadgets, but this thing is awesome! And no more oil splattering everywhere...frying fish is specifically what I bought it for, I'm finding out it can do so much more!

This is the first air fryer I have ever owned. It works well kzbin.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB and, if you use the proper supplied silicone tray, keeps the food separate from the oil\grease of cooking. I cooked pizza, hamburger, lasagna, etc all with good results. (I also purchased some paper inserts to cover the silicone trays, just not to have to clean the trays.) Recommended. Just make sure to REMOVE the PAPER INSERT below the air fryer tray before using the air fryer! And yes, I have experienced a bit of an "electrical"-type smell after cooking items. It seems to have gotten less with time and did surprise my nose the first time I smelled it.

When you cook in batches without preheating, you have to adjust time on the second batch. I reheat my pizza slices in 3-4 minutes in my Foodi grill, really just using the preheat cycle. But yesterday, my wife wanted some too. Did another three minutes on the second batch and they came out too crisp. The time has to be cut WAY down when the fryer is already hot.

@@MyForkingLife That is true. But that's true about any kind of cooking technique that you use. And with an air fryer all you have to do is pull the basket out and look. You don't have to keep it on exactly what it says. These times and temperatures are not etched in stone. This is not part of the 10 Commandments.

Lovely recipe! You may want to try rice flour instead of all purpose flour next time. Rice flour makes a very light, crisp coating. It's also good for gluten free diets too.

@E Mack I know it's been a year...I hope that you see this! With rice flour my experience seems to be that it can get kinda weird sticky, in a gross way, is there a brand or secret that you can share? I've been learning to live gluten free after YEARS of being sick and misdiagnosed ☹️ Now I finally know it's gluten and my life and health is so much better! 🙂 If E Mack doesn't see this and anyone reading can help me out regarding rice flour and other gluten free flour.. please do! Thank you. I used to use the liners occasionally but after a while, I found it to be more hassle for me. I do always wash my basket by hand after each use. Never the dishwasher. It’ll strip the coating eventually.
