First of all, we are so happy you like our recipe sharing. Baked or steam cake It depends on your taste, some people will cut out the bake cake surface to make it looks solid with the jelly layer. Hi, for baking the sugar need to increase, otherwise it will broken. The recipe has been written in the description. Ya, old pandan leaves will caused the bitter taste.

Yes. You can bake with the chiffon cake method. 160°C Temperature bake for 1 hour. You may need to adjust the temperature and time according to your oven.

Is the texture of kaya like jelly or like kaya solid i want try to make, but dont want the kaya textue like jelly qq, i want abit soft but solid , do i need to change jelly gram to agar* powder gram?

This is a totally "jelly cake" not the Kaya or custard texture. Different types of jelly/agar agar powder might have different water absorption, you can see the instructions on the package.

Hi, glad you like 😊 80% all purpose flour + 20% corn starch is equal to cake flour. The steamed cake recipes I shared are use meringue physical form to make the cake rise. Use baking powder is to make it easier to success.

The jelly and sugar part, we use blender blend them then cook it. The mixture will no form lump and sugar crystal. Hope this help. Easier than cook the sugar till dissolved.

Hi, that means for steamed cake base use at least 40g of sugar. If you want to bake the cake base please use 80g of sugar, otherwise the cake will crack very serious.
